"I have been here several times great coffee and good food. Some of the staff were warm and friendly, while others were less so. However, what truly concerned me was witnessing a serious health and safety issue on 24th May around 6:00 PM. A staff member came upstairs from the kitchen with what looked like a cut or burn on his finger. He sat at a table next to the counter, explained the situation to the manager, and then wrapped his injured finger with a purple kitchen cleaning towel — not a sterile dressing — while the manager handed him sellotape to hold it in place. There was no proper first aid provided, and no evidence of a first aid kit being used. It is the legal responsibility of every food business to have a stocked first aid kit on site. Using sellotape and cleaning paper instead of a proper dressing is a serious health and food safety risk, both for the injured staff member and for customers. I also hope that staff are treated with proper care and support — both physically, which did not appear to be the case today, and mentally, as part of a respectful working environment. Not sure how skin irritation can be treated with sellotape and a kitchen towel. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Price per person: £10–20"

"The restaurant is good if you are in a hurry after a show (the restaurant's biggest benefit). However, our experience was not pleasant. The samosas we ordered as appetizers were frozen inside and when we complained, the server asked if they were frozen to begin with, which was not a good sign. The prices were reasonable, which is the only reason for our 2 out of 5 rating. The rest of the food was terrible. At one point, a server took one of our small sauce plates and placed it on another table, which was disgusting. As we were finishing up and having a conversation, the server came and told us it was time to leave and essentially kicked us out. If you can go somewhere else, do it. You'll be much happier and won't risk getting sushi that tastes bad in Victoria."

"slow service and not good eating. my burger had no sauce at all and was therefore very dry. my wife ordered a baked kartoffel and others than the fact that they did not store enough for their menu, the cook did not know how to prepare a baked kartoffel appropriately. it was hard and the sea fish my wife had decided to put back mayo. the cutlery was not sufficiently clean as we could see that it streaky brander over them all suspect that they were not too bad with clean water apart from the chips."

"The Italian cuisine at this restaurant is excellent and authentic. The only downside was that the food could have been hotter, as it was served warm. Additionally, the restaurant was quite noisy. It would be a nice touch if they offered child-friendly activities like coloring or word searches."

"I visited cafe on 3rd January 2023 with my Husband and 3 Grandchildren aged 8,6,3 years at 12.30 lunchtime, the boys wanted the kids boxes as we used to come here before Covid when they were younger and liked it when we arrived we discovered there were no sandwiches left to put in boxes, I went to the counter to ask if there were any more and was told we don't do sandwiches I explained it was for kids box and she said no they were finished, strange since it was lunchtime. The boys were very disappointed so we left and went along to Morrisons The attitude of the staff in Tesco was couldn't care less, we won't be back. Kid-friendliness: Poor"

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"I'm writing this review because I tried to email and complain direct to Tinderbox but there is no contact section on the website. Shows how little they care about their customers. Went to meet a friend with my two small children. We asked when we...arrived if it was OK to sit in the back and they said yes. Sat on a cushioned bench looking out the window, no table but thought the window would keep the kids amused and the bench was a better seat option for my year old than a chair. When ordered at the till the barista was a bit rude, asking if we were ready yet when my kids were picking cake (despite there being no one behind us). Then my daughter spilled her milk on the floor. I apologised for the spillage and asked for paper towels. The barista made a massive fuss, watching me clean it up but then saying he'd have to clean it up after me because it was a walkway so had to be dry. He then made a fuss of cleaning the bench, telling me Look, I have to clean under the cushion too Later colleagues were tutting as they walked past, and eventually one staff member told my son he couldn't sit on the floor. I eventually said as I left that if you couldn't sit on the bench because it was next to a walkway, they shouldn't put a cushioned seat on it, or they should put up a sign. He told me that his colleague said he'd already told me I couldn't sit there. I said he didn't tell me that at all, all he said was he had to dry the floor because it was a walkway, I didn't realise that meant I couldn't sit there. He then said we could sit there, but just my child couldn't sit on the floor. I said they hadn't been clear and were being very inconsiderate towards us and he just walked off! It was terrible communication. If the seat wasn't suitable for us, they should have asked us to move and we would have happily done so. Instead, they just tutted at us and bitched about us. Extremely unprofessional."

"mackenzies is five stars in every sight: it is in a beautiful opposite of north yorkshire; it has plentiful, good parking; it has an excellent selection of shopping opportunities about fresh meat and vegetables, deli products and gift items. we had booked a table to breakfast and were met by a very friendly heart who showed us on a table in the winter garden. we chose both the full english that the simple but essential three boxes for me a good cooked breakfast, ie first-class ingredients, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. while the breakfast goes, this is as good as it gets, and as tasty it was considerable enough to eat much redundant later on the day. from cooking points, eating was perfect and the only suggestion that I could possibly make is that big tellers from the diners's look more practical, as I found it awkward to eat from the dishes they use, which, although a good size, were not quite enough for the big breakfast. service was in the whole class and the feeling to get it here is of a real desire to feel the customer special and it works!"

"We booked a meal here as it was my partners birthday. We had a reminder on our phone as table booked. When we arrived it was very busy, we were told after a wait at the bar that we had no table booked. The manager was summoned who informed us that he was sorry but the system went down due to high demand so they didn’t receive our reservation, we should have phoned to check and he couldn’t accommodate us. I told him it was unacceptable, why would we phone to check if we received confirmation and reminder, we were not from the area and staying here from out of town so had no idea where to go, he didn’t even offer us a drink when I said that. He literally turned his back on us and walked away. Disgraceful. We couldn’t believe it. Tunbridge Wells bar and grill were amazing, just a walk up the road."

"I brought my partner and family here to celebrate their birthday at the recomendation. I have to say I was more than impressed what a great place to eat/drink. very clean, great view of the lake, very friendly staff. ordering for drinks taken as soon as we sat and did not have to wait very long until the meal arrives. my partner and her daughter ordered the dressed crab from the special menu and although it tasted very nice, my partner krabbe had a little bowl in it. we have not complained, but we have pointed this out to our waitress who brought the manager right away. what a really nice man he was, he was very apologetic and offered my partner an alternative meal without additional costs. the alternative meal just arrived and was perfect. despite the unfortunate experience with the crab that was most likely a departure, eating here was perfect and the service was second on none. we will return here and recommend it to everyone. a great place for couples or families (like children for) to enjoy a beautiful meal in a beautiful environment."

"We ate a falafel wrap, a roast veg wrap with vegan cheese and some of the salad. It was delicious. I think those were the best wraps I have had for quite a while. Moist and filled with veg. I would eat these again any day. We also drank some Tumeric tea and some chai latte. Again excellent. All the food is vegan. I really want to try the chocolate doughnuts . Run by two friendly sisters. A very cosy environment."

"Poor Value, Ok-ish Food. Visited last night, had been to Spitalfields a couple of years ago and wasn't hugely impressed. Nothing's changed to make me want to visit again I'm a believer in good food cooked well fairly priced, but what ended up as a £16 Fish/Chips/Mushy Peas doesn't bode well. The peas tasted of nothing, had to add salt (which I never usually add to food at the table) and vinegar. Once done I was still hungry (again not usual) as the portion of chips was tiny. So ended up having the £8:50 cheese plate. "la bruschetta is a place where my mum used to go when she was pregnant with me so i have spent my entire life growing up going there, it means a great deal to me and many others that I share my memories with. i reccomend all others to take at least one visit because not only is the food amazing, the staff extremely polite and the entire place extremely family friendly, but you might start making memories there like I did"

"Called around 10 .30am to order brunch only to be informed they were having a break from brunch but could wait 20minutes ?? Staff extremely busy and tbh never stopped running around so think break could have been due to being overwhelmed as very busy...cafe . We did wait but when food arrived we were slightly disappointed. Eggs were definitely not free range , they were tiny and the yolk was very pale yellow . The wild mushrooms were bland and the sour dough was sliced extremely thin . Overall experience poor but staff lovely hence why bumped up score to 3 stars . I won’t return or be recommending ."
