"The cook should hang his hat up and move on. Everything was frozen not fresh, garlic prawns were smelly and the chef must have known this as he tried to disguise the smell by smothering paprika all over it! Gambas al ajillo is one of my fav dishes and I order it a lot, never seen it served like this before so it leads me to believe he was covering up the bad smell. We didn’t eat the dish and the barely awake waiter didn’t bother to ask why we didn’t eat it, just took it away. Calamari al andaluz was dry, rubbery 100% pre fried then frozen then refried. Horrible. We told sleepy, (our waiter) that we would be sharing the starters and he smiled and said ok, like I was asking for his permission, no side plates, nothing. We were all eating out of the plates in the center of the table. The mains spaghetti bolognese (bolognese from a tin tastes better! Pasta dry crunchy in places, the pizza hard as a rock with no authenticity at all but worst of all was the mustard chicken!!! Vomit worthy!!! Chucks of re heated chicken, some pieces cooked but still cold in the middle smothered in this onion mustard concoction that looked like slimy mucus! Absolutely inedible, we did not touch it. Of course the servers just took it away without even asking as if they knew if they asked it was going to be bad. Taking advantage of unsuspecting tourists like this is just not on. Absolutely rubbish,"

"To me pizza is something that is very close to my heart. The amount of good memories I've had happened while having pizza with people. Often when I think of Pizza the emotions that come to mind are joy, hope, excitement , happiness. Yet last night when I sat there eating my pizza from La Stalla all I could feel was a blend of rage and sadness as well as the strong feeling that I had been deceived. I had paid 26 pounds for two vegetarian pizzas and an order of cheese garlic bread. I called up the place beforehand to inquire the amount of garlic bread pieces I would receive as well as the size of the pizza. Once I had received my takeaway and got home I opened the box and to my horror I only found two pieces of cheese garlic bread, the garlic bread looked quite sad and dry and resembled a toastie rather than a proper piece of Italian garlic bread. I then proceeded to open the pizza boxes and I had realised that I have been deceived, the pizzas that sat infront of me , they were not 12 inches. I grabbed my measuring tape and measured it as I knew this was not right . As I measuring I was hoping that I just looked at it wrong and that it was 12 inches , however my optimism was misplaced, the Pizza was in fact 8.5 inches on both pizzas. I decided to slice up the pizza and try to make the best out of a bad situation but the pizza sadly was nothing short of incredibly average. The pizza tasted the same as a frozen pizza, with a tasteless cardboard esque base, bland tomato sauce and cheese that very much felt like low quality heavily processed mozzarella. Overall , this was incredibly overpriced and truly just a miserable experience that I will not be returning to."

"I have eaten here many many times. The common thread is that some dishes are outstanding eg the burratta. Some are pretty Good — the pizzas but largely because of the dough— though pizza size seems to me to change depending on the time of year...; Some dishes are are just v v v ..meh. I disagree with the glowing reviews generally. See my other reviews.. I am in top 1% of London reviewers on Tripadvisor they keep telling me whatever thta cr&p means..but it does mean I know London. The STAFF here though are uniformally abyssmal. Not rude. Not aggressive. Just perpetually preoccupied and low quality. Chatting amongst themselves when folks are waiting and lazy. They take orders wrongly — almost universally so. Never had them get one right. Ever. They do not apologise when they do so. They present food by throwing on the table and turning away with no table/service manners.Literally like my 10 year old would do at a school dining evening. I ate here this evening and I am so so done. Order was wrong as the waitress did not listen. No apology..much chatting amongst staff te Bulgria and social life..no checking to make sure the newly arrived food was OK..the bill was thrown later on the table ..the payment taken with a grimace.. I live literally a block away ..3 mins walk..from this place and we locals call it ‘The Food With the ‘tude’.. They need to sort this. Service is abyssmal. I’m so done. Keep tricking the tourists but we locals are done. Only caveat is the take out is apparently great ..but small comfort.."
