"I went to The Salusbury in the middle of January as part of a party of 6 for a birthday meal. From the off, the pub was scoring points with its decor and overall ambience, coming across as both chic and professional. We were promptly ushered round the corner to a comfortable dining area set apart from the rest of the pub where we were served by an efficient (if slightly impersonal) waitress. For my starter I had the prawn dish. The portion was generous, and it was prepared it a mouth watering slightly spicy sauce. The general consensus was a thumbs up for the starters. For the main, I went with the steak, accompanied by a side order of chunky chips. Perhaps the prawns set the bar too high, but I was slightly under awed by the steak. It was nice, but nothing to write home about. Once again, the mains went down well with everyone in our party aside from my brother who had the pheasant and was thoroughly un enamoured. Fortunately, the portions were big enough that he was able to pick from other people's plates and still depart with a full belly. On the whole, we had a lovely evening, the genial atmosphere of the pub perhaps carrying it where the food fell slightly short. Screw Flanders"
