"We booked a table for 1430, 3 of us for a team lunch. The starter was excellent burrata, meats and delicious bread. We had asked for the baked Camembert but were told “no” not available .. no apology, no explanation. We all had pasta .... very average for the price. I had sausage pasta, which I make regularly at home. It had no real flavour, way to much tomato, and pretty bland. Swordfish tagiatelli was not to my friends taste. We were therefore looking forward to pudding. We came to order were bluntly told that all that was left was the ice cream and sorbet.. no explanation. Really strange we thought, declined and ordered another bottle instead. 45 minutes later we were told that the cheesecake was back on. I was annoyed at this point and asked for an explanation. The waiter said that the kitchen was closed hence why no pudding available. Simple explanation that had been withheld. If you take bookings for 1430 you need to be clear that the kitchen closes and you limit the menu. I raised the issue when it came to pay and asked for the service to be taken off the bill, and was offered a glass of Prosecco as compensation, we knocked it back. It’s a shame as we all left underwhelmed. Great venue for a drink and nibble but maybe go somewhere else for a meal in this price range."
