"The starter was quite small, especially for two people sharing. The main course, a steak, was fantastic, but the dessert was disappointing. It resembled a cake you might buy at a wholesale store and didn't match the quality of the other two courses."

"Been several times and usually a great meal. Last night was a bit car crash as they were massively understaffed. Dishes arrived late or out of order and three of us had well done steaks when we asked for medium rare. One guy basically covering the whole floor who did a brilliant job but can’t be expected to perform miracles Will go back as I know it’s normally not like this but they need to avoid this happening again."

"We ate here previously in 2018 and thought the meal was excellent. We therefore had high expectations this time around. The food is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. For food, I ordered from the specials, beef Tartare (my favourite), and my partner the burrata salad. The tartare had far too much mustard, which the waiter had replaced for me as it was inedible. Although the replacement had less mustard, it wasn’t the most attractive looking beef, you would expect better for £29. The burrata salad was excellent. We both had steaks for main, and these were really nice, although the bernaise sauce was lacking in taste. Anyone reading this may brush my comments off as It sounds like I’m a whiner, and focused on the cost, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I love to eat out at Michelin starred restaurants and I don’t mind paying top prices; I don’t like paying top prices and getting average food."

"To manage one 's expectations, I would describe Robata as Japanese inspired rather than authentic Japanese food. To summarise, the service was good and the food was okay. Here are the pros and cons: Pros The waiting staff was attentive and gracious, even though 2 of our guests were VERY late. I really commend them for their patience. Service was fast. The waiting staff was well versed in allergens and there were plenty of dairy free and gluten free options The interior was quirky and reminded me of Japanese manga meets art nouveau which I liked very much! The general ambience and music were upbeat I can imagine Robata being a good option for pre going out dinner with friends or a casual first date, but some may find it a bit loud for intimate dinners The sake mojito was delicious! Cons The traditional Japanese menu items including sushi rolls and sashimi did not perform strongly. The robatayaki skewer items (Robata 's name sake) were better, but unfortunately did not steal my heart I felt the flavours and seasoning were too strong for my palate and this genre of food Neutral Observations The menu was eclectic with a mixture of Japanese (sushi, robatayaki) Korean (kimchi rice), Peruvian (ceviche) and other foods (I 'm not sure where tartare originates). There were some open 'bao ' options, which were some Asian inspired hot fillings wrapped in a flat piece of steamed bun. Personally, I 'm not a fan but I 've encountered this in a few restaurants in London so this seems to be a popular concept in recent times. Who knows? "

"Simple small plates but well cooked. The menu doesn’t change much which is good. Perennial favourites include pumpkin croquettes and roasted cauliflower with labneh. It has got more expensive lately, but it’s worth it and the wine list is reasonable, though some carafe choices would be an improvement. Friendly and efficient service."

"After visiting The Seven Stars for the first-time last month for a Sunday roast I can highly recommend! I enquired to book a Birthday Sunday roast for a large group at relatively short notice and Namit (the restaurant manager) instantly put my mind at ease. He was super prompt to respond to any questions and really made my husband’s Birthday dinner a success! As a party of 25 (adults and kids) our food was all brought out quickly and together. The food was absolutely delicious and many of us agreed it was one of the best roasts we had had in a long time! We had a fantastic experience thanks to a beautiful pub, delicious food and brilliant staff. Thank you SO much Namit, we can’t wait to come again!"

"The menu is rather limited and hasn't been updated in about a year. The acoustics make it quite challenging to hold a conversation, especially when seated among large groups and noisy parties. The food was just average. One guest even had to send back a very overcooked steak, and it took 20 to 30 minutes for them to replace it."

"Strange place. Booked because it is like a nice place to go for a meal. Always a good sign when a restaurant has a bouncer at the door where you invite! Once we have gone into you, you will not get the mood of an upscale restaurant (which you will remember about the price of food, but rather like a nightclub. We went early and the place was pretty dead, not unexpected at 6:30 a week. The restaurant was extremely dark, so people use their phone burners to read the menu. The employees were smart and polite, but the mood was as if someone had placed some tables in the middle of a nightclub, not helped by bass heavy music that was too loud for this time of the evening. The food was good, not excellent. I asked about my lamb medium rarely and it came closer to well made, but then it was so dark I could not make sure enough of the color complain. Desserts were a mixed bag. Beautiful Tiramisu but the Pavalova was so hard that you could probably not eat it with the frozen stuff. The highlight was halfway through Dessert's music rose to ear piercing levels when a random fire performer appeared and started to go the restaurant, I'm sure she was very talented but seriously, Wwf? She made about 5 minutes to 7 people, the whole thing was unpleasant. At this point we couldn't wait to get out. I admit free, I am probably not the destination clients of the restaurant (I have some research and thought I should probably break the table with a look at some of the photos, but they charge £60 with less than 24 hours termination! Overall, this place is probably great for a night with drinks and dance and photos for IG, but for a nice, pleasant meal from all over the other place. A very muddy place."

"We arrived for an work team Christmas lunch at and were the only people in the place but the staff were welcoming and the woodfire oven gave a cosy feel to the place. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had one vegan among us who rhapsodized over the roast artichoke. The smoked salmon starters had radish slices and a spiced mayonnaise which I had never seen before. The Steak tartare was equally inventive and be honest a little on the large side as a starter. Good problem to have. The woodoven roasted sea-bream for was moist but firm. Good wine list (we chose Austrian Red) and we opted for Espresso Martinis with the roast Pineapple and Sorbet desert, again very inventive. The staff were all very attentive and the place had filled up nicely around us to create a nice buzzy atmosphere. A great addition to the silicon roundabout scene."
