"The menu was eclectic and a step above the usual gastropub fare. I started with a delicate mackerel mousse, followed by a tender beef filet—though the portion was a bit smaller than expected, it was very tasty. The service was excellent: attentive without being intrusive, and our courses were served at just the right pace.
One minor point to mention is that the wine selection could be improved. Overall, we spent about £45 per person for three courses, drinks beforehand, and wine/aperitifs/coffee, which was quite reasonable given the high quality of the food and service. We will definitely be returning."
