Decor a bit bland and basic throughout the bar and restaurant but the service was genuinely friendly and food was a fab surprise. The bar style menu belies the great food within. We had rib eye steaks and venison Wellington style and it got served to a 'wow ' factor. The food presentation and food was on par with more upmarket restaurants, and price competitive. "I made a reservation here for my husband's 50th birthday. The food was delicious, flavorful, and fresh. The only drawback was the overpowering smell of fried food as soon as you entered the restaurant. I'm not sure if this is a regular issue or if the ventilation system wasn't functioning properly, but it was a bit off-putting."

"We prebooked for Sunday lunch several weeks ago. We arrived in good time and were shown to our table. Unfortunately, we waited 1 hour 15 mins for three roasts due to two staff not turning up. Chap behind bar apologetic and we were given free drinks . The food was worth the wait though. Delicious. Good choice of veg, plenty of gravy and I chose the pulled pork. Unusual but yummy. Homemade yorkies. Large portion."
