"Friendly, welcoming staff. Our waitress was delightful and very attentive without being intrusive. We were aware that only a Brunch Menu was available I presume that providing a Lunch Menu as well would just not be cost effective in these difficult times for the hospitality industry. This was not a problem for us and there was plenty of choice.The food was good, but not a lot of thought went into the presentation. However, if that's all we have to adversely comment on I can only say 'Thank you' for a really pleasant experience"

"Me my wife previously visited this restaurant a few times last year so thought we would return to see if it was still as good as before. Although the staff were different, we can confirm that this place is still superb, so good in...fact that we visited three times within the same week. Liam looked after us on all our visits this week can confirm that his politeness, friendliness general all round service was superb, he was part of the reason we returned each time, well done thank you Liam. Me my wife shared many items drinks on the menu, all of which were absolutely outstanding reasonably priced, nothing detrimental to say whatsoever. The whole restaurant Hotel just has a really nice ambience to it, very clean well maintained along with quality fixtures fittings, we will definitely return on our next visit to Ramsgate."

"we had fun, our high time on the lynnhurst in februar 2022. we have also booked a series of rooms for the night before and after for family and friends. the rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. overall the hotel has a very nice ambiente. the staff were very friendly and always helpful. wlan was available throughout the hotel. the breakfast was also great not to complain about: aproposely high time: the team in lynhurst was great to work with and they did something more than we expected from then. even if I had questions/requests done, they were always treated quickly and friendly. the venue is beautiful and modern and we enjoyed it very much to celebrate our high time."

"Our dinner experience at this restaurant was supposed to be a highlight of our week away during Christmas, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The main issue was that upon being seated, we were informed that many menu options were no longer available. In my 40 years of dining out, I have never encountered a list of unavailable options as extensive as this. The excuse given for the limited food availability being because it was Christmas was wholly inappropriate. Despite this disappointment, the rest of the evening was satisfactory, with the food and service being decent. Overall, it was a letdown. I would recommend that the management improve their menu planning and food ordering process for the future."

"Dinner here was supposed to be one of the highlights of a week away over Christmas. Sadly did not live up to the expectation. The main reason being that as soon as we five were seated, we were given a list of menu options of what was no longer available. In 40 years I have never faced a list of missing options in any restaurant, perhaps the odd 1 or 2 options. Disappointment was compounded by the wholly inappropriate excuse that there was insufficient food because it was Christmas!! What remained of the evening was OK, food was OK and the service was good. All in all, it was a let down. Recommend that the management up their game with regards to menu planning and food ordering in the future."

"I was disappointed with my latest visit to this restaurant. I have had great experiences here before, but this time was not as enjoyable. I made a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night and was surprised to find no one to greet us at the door. The restaurant was nearly empty, aside from a large family group who had been there before us. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, I was unimpressed. It's a shame because this restaurant had so much potential when it first opened."

"This location is split into two areas - a bar and a restaurant. The bar can get a bit loud, especially on a Friday night, so we decided to dine in the restaurant. We found it to be a charming spot with friendly staff, tasty meals, and affordable prices. If we find ourselves back in Scotland, my fiancé and I will definitely return here. "Fantastic meal at Headlam Hall Hotel. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our meals. The Orangery dining room is a lovely backdrop for the food that was well presented, exceptionally tasty and, unlike many meals out these days, well portioned. The menu certainly lives up to the claim of Modern British cooking using locally sourced ingredients. My Tandoori lamb scotch egg starter was very flavoursome, a great combination... and even had a runny yolk! Both mains (belly pork/fillet of beef) tasted great, and the meats were succulent. My chocolate cheesecake was to die for, and Vanessa's Baked Parkin, salted caramel sauce, brandy snap and black treacle ice cream was a very clever and harmonious combination of flavours. Service was efficient and friendly but not over-obtrusive. All in all, it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thank you."

"We booked online and arrived to a reasonably quiet restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely server who showed us to our seat. I brought my children as we were on a visit to see Stamford Bridge the following day. My youngest child has allergies to egg, dairy, nuts and sesame and the staff were thorough in helping us find a suitable and safe meal for him. The food came out at a timely manner and the service was superb. There was a small issue with one of the meals meaning it was delayed in coming out of the kitchen. However, the servers were very apologetic and did everything they could to make things up to us, took a bit off the bill and gave us a meal “on the house” to apologise. All in all, we had a lovely time and felt right at home with the service. We would definitely come back, the food was delicious. Thanks to the team for looking after us so well."

"I had to change the time of our booking because I was running late, but the staff were very helpful. We had a table for two, and one of us ordered a delicious soup for a starter while the other decided to wait for the main course. After waiting for an hour for our mains, our waitress apologized and explained that they were serving meals upstairs in the bar, so it was really busy. To make up for the wait, the waitress brought us a large complimentary glass of wine. The food was delicious and very filling, with probably the best gravy around. We will definitely be back for another visit."

"Lovely food. Lovely staff. Highly recommend the mussels in white wine as your starter, they are fabulous . The price is extremely reasonable and be certain that you won't be waiting between courses. As a regular, I can honestly say that there has only been a single occasion where the main course was not up to the standard expected and the staff were so shocked and apologetic and did everything they could to make it right, including not charging and offering to make a new dish. When I declined, they brought complimentary drinks and every visit since has been wonderful. That was 100 percent an isolated incident and the food and service before and after has been second to none. Couldn't recommend it more. Go, enjoy."

"Since this got took over by Indians it’s gone right down hill, I used to be a regular at the great lovely big standard the people before set but chicken tikka chips sent be violently ill for 12 hours out of both holes same time, a chicken bap 2 weeks later (they were looking inside the big square boxes ring to detect what meat it was) with apple sauce stuffing, that sent me running to the toilet too. Il only ever use them for a plain portion chips if I ever have to. What’s with the vapes and alcohol fridge on counter, it may aswell be an off license greediness which has hopefully gone against them. Far cry from the high standard English chip shop previous owners great staff ran, brilliant people they were. Now half the portions for more money.Such a shame it came to this, I never knew they were selling up. Makes my property nearby devalued, nothing to boast about anymore."

"The experience was mediocre. Unfortunately, we were isolated from the rest of the table. We were seated in an awkward spot between two groups, leading to us feeling excluded. The chefs focused their attention on the other diners first before cooking for us. The food was decent, but it was clear that some chefs were more enthusiastic than others. "We had spa treatments lined up for the afternoon and lunch with a glass of bubbles was included in the package. We were shown to our table and given menus and a wine list. With lunch being part of the package I had to leave my seat and check with the maitre de as to what was actually included rather than being advised when seated. With the option of two courses each, I went for starters and main and my wife went for main and desert. I chose the crispy Parma ham with poached egg followed by the Moroccan Lamb and my wife chose the herb gnocchi followed by the Creole fruit salad. Not much could criticised about my starter other than the poached egg was over cooked but my Moroccan Lamb was far from Moroccan. The lamb sat on a bed of plain couscous surrounded by grilled peppers, courgette and aubergine which were described as Provençal but there was no hint of tomato to be found. The lamb was plain with no hint of any spices. I question the term “Moroccan Lamb”. The herby gnocchi appeared to be fried and tasted more like a bland bubble and squeak. The lemon mascarpone was ok. Finally, the “Creole fruit salad” was nothing more than pineapple and orange segments with some coconut shavings and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We even found pips left in some of the orange segments. All in all a very disappointing and lack lustre lunch but thankfully the treatments were good."

"I traveled all the way from New Zealand and visited Leo's Cafe on a Sunday morning, and I was incredibly impressed by this small gem of a place. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my son when he needed to use the bathroom. I would highly recommend trying their carrot cake, as it is the best I've tasted since my late grandmother's homemade version."
