"Truly awful! I keep going back here as it’s close to home . I wait a few months, book again on the hope it just gets better....I guess what was great today was that the awful filthy hops have at last been removed! The service was awful, starting with our waitress saying” your table is over there” , The food even more dreadful! Roast beef that was so tough and cold , we both asked for a steak knife just to cut it, but even that was no use. Roast potatoes not cooked properly. Considering this is a Lucky Onion property , it defies belief why they have not invested in it and the staff to make it close to their other Cheltenham locations with regard to standards. It might be close to home , but this really is my last time here until maybe it’s been completely overhauled ! However , when you go, you will always find it busy....I also know that I expect a lot from service ....so judge for yourself....but I’m done with it"

"Nice place but we visited on a cold day and and if you weren’t seated directly in front of the open fire it was chilly in the restaurant . Also some of the food needed to be hotter than served. And I totally disagree with the service charge, on our bill it was £30 thank goodness it was discretionary the service certainly didn’t live up to that high charge. That should be removed entirely and left at the customers discretion. Kind of changed the mood of the lunch which was a shame."

"Amazing venue for a party! Craig and the team couldn't have been more accommodating in helping us organise and pull off an amazing birthday party in the Ugly Duckling function room. Tim the new chef was absolutely brilliant, he worked with us to create an amazing menu which was enjoyed by all of our guests! He was passionate about the food and it really showed! They even did us frozen margaritas on mass to go with our theme. The bar staff on the night of the party were brilliant, couldn't recommend more if you're looking for somewhere to host a party!"

"The hotel bar area is a pleasant place to have a drink before your meal, with comfortable seating, suitable music at comfortable volume and interesting black and white photographs. The bar staff seemed busy and it was several minutes before anyone acknowledged us seated at the bar waiting to order drinks. The meal itself was very good, cooked well and well presented. The service was a little slow and we did wonder if they were understaffed on our Thursday night. We made several attempts to catch the eye of any member of staff fleeting by in order to ask about the menu, more water, more bread etc. No one came to 'see how we were getting on ' or if we required anything else. Topping up of glasses was done by staff on 1-2 occasions only. However, the staff were pleasant and smartly dressed. The toilet facilities were excellent. Overall, I would dine again."

"Came here for a Sunday roast. Overall we enjoyed our meal here. £20 for two courses was much better value than most places. The starters we ordered arancini and calamari were tasty and well sized. We ordered the beef and pork roasts. Serving size was very good. Lots to enjoy on the plate. The beef was very good, had a delicious taste and cooked just right. The trimmings were all cooked well, although would have preferred the potatoes more crispy. Gravy was a bit thin too. Cauliflower cheese was delicious, very rich and cheesy. The Yorkshire puddings also very well done. Service was good. Atmosphere somewhat lacking due to a very quiet day. But it didn’t take anything from the experience. Happy to recommend and we will be returning."

"We had on 21. June 2019 a table booked in this restaurant for 18:30. We arrived at 17:50 in the restaurant to drink a drink in the bar. When we arrived, the place was closed! There was a little hint at the door to say that they were closed because of a problem in the kitchen and would soon be opened again, but not when. We called the restaurant later this evening and left a message, but so far no one has returned our call. We had not informed about it by phone or e-mail. After we had traveled a considerable distance there, we were extremely upset to say the least. We could never recommend a restaurant whose owners treat their customers with dune. If you want a Resataurant in the Wandsworth area, L'Affaire should never be on your menu. We are also concerned that this is badly reflected on OenTable as a booking organization. I would appreciate your company's comments on this topic."

"I had the orange fondant blood orange sorbet for dessert was expecting an orange posset type dessert. It was actually a chocolate orange fondant pudding which isn't clearly stated. "We booked as a family so we could take the children out for tea on New Year's Eve. Booked for 4:45 and we were seated promptly. We have been several times before and loved it and it can get very busy. But this time we were a bit underwhelmed. They were clearly prepping for the nye night time event and we felt in the way, especially as they started shifting tables whilst we were still eating. The table next to us complained about the waiter, but he was fine, to us it was more the general feeling of earlier diners being in the way and not given much appreciation, unless you were regulars, which became obvious. Good food although desert menu typos meant I basically got the same pudding as my partner with one subtle difference, that wasn't good. Will we come again?? It will be while until we do. Shame as I have loved it previously."

"feels strange retro with 70s elevator music in the background playing. the decoration would not be seen in a habitat catalog. why it is necessary to collect a lot of glasses on each table dust escapes me but there they go. nice friendly staff that didn't look at someone who was shining, reluctant or looking at an appearance of the prix fixe. the speck petersilie Risotto-Starter was very tasty with every taste, but unfortunately it was slightly clogged in the texture as if overcooked. the main was bier broken squid and chips with broom. I know, so they sue me that I was tied up at that time. the fish was excellent, not huge, but this is to be expected for a solid menu. the heaps were quite anonymous, the tartaric acid and the chips, while well cooked, needed a good hit of the salt. if they don't want to give salt and pepper on the table, then I expect the flavors to be right. the strawberry patch with cookies and cream was great."

"Côte in Cambridge is one of my top dining spots. It's not only a Coeliac UK accredited restaurant, ensuring clear labeling and knowledgeable staff, but the food is absolutely delicious! "We recently moved to the area and saw the great reviews on travel advisers, so we booked a table as a special opportunity to celebrate the women's birthdays that both appeared. Unfortunately we were so disappointed. We booked a table for 4 people at 8 a.m. and arrived 10 minutes early. We said the table was not ready and was asked to drink a drink at the bar while the table was prepared. After 15 minutes of waiting, we asked with the manager if the table was ready, and he said a few more minutes. After another 10 minutes we asked the manager again and he said he can't force people to leave the table if they weren't ready. In fact, he was rather rude and abrupt and did not apologize. At 08:25 we suggested that we had enough to wait a round and wanted to go and suddenly our table was ready. Once we were asked if we wanted more drinks and then our order was taken. No offer was made for a round of drinks on the house to be waited. Our starters arrived within 20 minutes and immediately followed by our main courses. Three of the party ordered steaks. The steak was blande and the peppercorn sauce was without peppercorns. During one of the table staff the plates she asked if everything was fine with meals, we mentioned the tasteless steaks and sauce and we were rudely said we had mentioned something at the beginning. The young lady who presented us with the bill was very pleasant and polite the manager should take a leaf out of her book. Unfortunately, we will never return to this facility again."

"we have enjoyed a nice afternoon and would especially recommend the £13 children who was excellent. our daughter is 2.5 years old and had a wonderful time with banana sandwiches and a crisp buttie! she got a little goodie bag to do with the arrival with dingen and she also enjoyed the smell of tees. we were very comfortable that they were incredibly friendly and welcoming with us and the staff. our adult kitchen was also delicious and very good value for money, with a complementary pimms cocktail. compared to other hotels, I would say that this tee is better than others, more prestigious places."

"I visited kitch for Saturday lunch recently at 12.30 clock the music was quite loud. there was no one in the restaurant while we were there. we sat on a window. Unfortunately, there were two bluebottles that flew around our window and went past our faces, we decided to move to an inside table so that I could enjoy lunch properly. vegetarian options have been selected on the menu, but not vegan options. When I asked the server what was vegan, he had to check with the kitchen before he returned to me. he said that the risotto, the two salads and the red linsenburger could be made vegan. I ordered the Butternuss Quark Risotto. it tasted absolutely delicious; creamy and tasteful. I would highly recommend this court. my partner (not veggie) asked for ketchup when they brought his meal. he had to wait about 2 minutes until it arrives. a bit strange, as the restaurant was empty. Overall, eating was delicious, but I wouldn't rush back to the atmosphere or service."

"We went to Spencers in the square to celebrate my daughter's engagement. Even though we had mentioned this when booking, it was not acknowledged during our visit. However, this was not a big deal for us. We ordered drinks and four different main courses. I opted for the chicken with honey and lemon sauce, served with skin-on fried potatoes and green beans. It was delicious but could have used an additional vegetable. The others ordered burgers, steak, and beef in red wine sauce, all of which were enjoyed by everyone. We have dined at this restaurant multiple times, including for Sunday dinners, and have noticed a significant improvement in both the food and service. The restaurant, located in the city centre, is beautifully styled and very comfortable."

"Albion’s has become our family’s go to restaurant of choice for breakfast, brunch and family dinners. We are always greeted warmly and tables arranged to suit that day’s requirements. It is particularly nice to be able to sit in the back garden area when the weather permits. We have been up and down the various menus and have found the standard of both ingredients and cooking very high. Our grandchildren especially enjoy the deep fried (real) fish fingers and the mussels, whilst the rest of us have enjoyed almost everything else, with the chicken salad and the butternut squash risotto being worthy of a special mention. The desserts, particularly the Eton Mess, are so good that they are selected even when not needed for nutritional purposes. We enjoy a range of drinks, without yet having really got to grips with the wine list, although their Malbec is very “slippery”! Overall I highly recommend it for family dining."

"Do not be fooled into thinking that this is an Italian restaurant, when the head waitress could not find our booking she informed us that they dont check open table bookings any more, they did find the booking and set a table for us anyway, then we chose food from the set menu 2 courses for £16.95 each, when the bill came they had charged from the main menu, we had already paid the bill when this was discovered, we pointed out that we had chosen from the set menu they then set about trying to rectify there mistake, after fifteen minutes they finallt gave up say that accounts would fix this later and refund the difference to the card, guest relations manager then informed us we would be invited back for lunch because of the inconveinence caused(still waiting on that call)"
