"I had the most amazing chicken masala here recently. I didn't even know this place existed. I had a business meeting in the restaurant and I am very impressed with the food. definitiw one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. they were looking forward to going back there, they also had a nice pinot grigio I forgot to get the name. the person with whom I had pasta and was also very impressed by their meal. as they can see from the photos, it was also beautifully presented."

"Booked to come here to celebrate my Birthday with family. Have to admit, I haven't visited here since before 2019, my expectations were exceeded. They were most accommodating, due to the fact that some of my family members sadly became ill, so could not attend, however after informing Fiume, they were most gracious adjusted our table dinning requirements accordingly. The restaurant was very busy, however, that certainly didn't detract from the excellent attentive service that we received. From our starters of Crespella Ai Funghi E Salsiccia, to our mains of whole Seabass Flambe Di Gamberi, our food was superb, along with the very attentive waitress that looked after our table for our food drinks. It was quite a night, due to the fact that there must have been at least 6 other Birthday parties celebrating there, which was unusual to experience so many, . . just shows what a popular Italian Restaurant this really is. Thank You to all the staff chefs Fiume Italian Bar Restaurant, for making my Birthday celebrations an evening to remember. We'll definitely be back very soon."

"We arrived a few minutes before our 13:00 lunch reservation for 2 and waited by the door for someone to help us. After 5 minutes, I asked a waitress for assistance but she said she didn't speak English and would call the manager. Despite the manager noticing us from the bar area, we waited for another 5 minutes with no acknowledgment. As we waited, I witnessed an argument between the manager and a customer over a bill. It was clear that many tables had finished their meals and were becoming impatient with the lack of efficient service. One customer even warned me to think twice about eating there before leaving. The restaurant had a bad smell, likely from improper cleaning, and we were happy to leave without experiencing more."

"I have eaten in Sale e Pepe before and really enjoyed it. I needed to eat quickly and popped in to see if they had a table for 1. They did and I ordered spaghetti Carbonara and a large whiskey and coke. They brought some bread. I asked for butter. I didn’t get it. The spaghetti arrived quickly and it looked strange. It was like a solid lump of pasta. Very sticky and gluey. I ate a few mouthfuls but couldn’t eat anymore. I told the waiter and he brought the maitre de over. He asked if I wanted something else but as I was in a hurry I declined. I asked for the bill. He had taken the pasta of but it was still £21. So I had virtually nothing to eat and charged £17 for a whiskey. Given the situation I would have expected him to say ‘no charge’ This is a very reputable restaurant but I was very disappointed and hungry."

"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"EDIT They did change it to a bolognaise wen I phoned but I still wouldn’t eat out here again. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and a portion of macaroni cheese, pizza was undercooked and the macaroni cheese was as if it was made with powdered milk as the colour looked like it hadn’t seen a block of cheese! Phoned back and they’ve told me that they have had to change the ingredients, Ingredients definitely taste cheaper so it’s not up to standards for the prices they charge, shame because used to eat out here regularly but it’s went ryt downhill n al not be back"

"good quality. casual and smooth atmosphere. the place is dedicated to the art of making pizza and panini. I had there the pizza “Il contadino”, which was very nice and pleasant. it could be a good choice also for vegetarians because this pizza has only tomaten, mozzarella cheese and many other vegetables on it. the personal is welcoming and prompt. I would go there for pizza instead of meeresfruit and panini, because it looks like it's their specificity. the prices are good and they should expect to spend 45 for two people. I would suggest going with a group of friends and enjoying their time. the place is quite small, so it is better to make a reservation before going."

"Our visit didn’t start out so well as we struggled to find the entrance! Some better signage would be good, especially as the doors aren’t marked and look more like a goods entrance! We were seated right opposite one set of doors and since they were automated we were blasted with cold air for a while each time someone came in or left. We thought it wasn’t worth asking to move since it was busy and now where better to put us, and that things would settle once the lunch covers were all in, but then people started cutting through to use the restaurant as a short cut to get into the hotel! This just spoiled the ambience for us as we were cold and ended up watching the door. The staff were however lovely and the food and drinks great. I realised afterwards that my main was listed on the menu (in its title) as having walnuts with it, but I didn’t get any with my dish so that was a shame (I’d have mentioned if I’d realised at the time). The Jerusalem artichoke soup, ricotta and truffle ravioli, and olive oil martini were our highlights, and we’d recommend."

"We had a lunch to celebrate being able to get out together for a Christmas treat. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and provided excellent service. One of our group members was feeling unwell, but the staff on duty were incredibly kind and helpful. The food was well-presented and suited our budget perfectly, with a good selection on the fixed menu. Due to Covid restrictions, the restaurant was quite quiet and lacked atmosphere through no fault of the staff. We will definitely visit again."

"It was our first time eating at Giovanni’s yesterday after recently moving to Knutsford. And what a treat it was. The waiter could not have been any better and went out of his way to ensure we had a lovely meal. It was a lovely decor and absolutely delicious food They ordered some appetisers and I had a bite of each, which were good. Then we ordered the mains and everyone was delighted. "We reserved two tables for our upcoming visit, which allowed us to choose our preferred seating area in the restaurant. The menu selection was excellent, and the food was delicious. The service was very attentive and good. We visited on a Sunday and opted for the lunch package. My only minor critique is that the Yorkshire puddings were excessively large, overshadowing the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, they were unappealing and went to waste, as no one at our table could finish one. "The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was disappointing and the service was slow. We went for a quick lunch during our lunch hour, but ended up waiting 20 minutes just for our drinks, leaving us with only 15 minutes to eat our meal. "Zonzo's is a local of ours as we live nearby. I met a couple of friends for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. We chose bruschetta salmone affumicato which was simply delicious and lived up to any canape you could have. The tricolore was wonderful and it was a very generous portion! Moving on to the mains the pollo rosemarino was succulent and my spag bol was very similar to what I used to order in Italy when I lived there. The service was impeccable all conducted under the watchful eye of the head waiter, Wais! He looked after his customers with patience and empathy. It's a tough time for the hospitality industry but Zonzo's seems to be in the winning lane!!!"

"Honestly this place needs to hire friendlier staff. Two of them were completely unsuitable, especially one of the managers on the floor. Couldn't wait to walk away within seconds of serving the table. I mean when you ask someone how the food is, at least try and pretend you're listening to the answer! When we ask for black pepper....we mean freshly ground pepper....not the cheap stuff you leave on the table. Food took a while to arrive (25mins) when we asked for everything (starters and mains) to come at the same time. I don't know why you get penalised whenever we go for this option but that was a let down. Food was well cooked and enjoyable but the experience was not great. And back to the useless manager when we ask for a receipt after paying with a credit card, we want the credit card receipt not the pre printed bill with the list of items ordered."
