"On arrival the staff where lovely , we ordered our meal . The lasagne sounded good so both ordered the same. What a disappointment, it was stodgy and too much tomato , hardly any cheese. I have never left a lasagne but could only manage...half of it , as did my friend. and that was a struggle. It reminded me of a cheap lasagne from a bargain supermarket or school meals , the worst I have ever had.! Even the garlic bread was very dry, so we thought the pudding would be better , creme anglaise was curdles and hard ... I left half of it .. my friend left all of hers as it was just tasteless, and slightly frozen .. sad because we used to love this restaurant , wont be going back for a long time ."

"I visited this place with my friend this week and it was an excellent experience. Place was big but very well organized and decorated beautifully. We received a warm welcome by staff; they seated us and helped us with the menu which looked great. I ordered chicken wrapped in pancetta and my friendordered spaghettini with prawns which she said was the best she had. Great ingredients, flavors and very nicely presented. "After reading some reviews of this restaurant, I had my doubts about my choice, but I can confidently say we had an amazing time. I ordered the carbonara and my friend had the prawn pasta with spaetzle, and both dishes were absolutely delicious—I could have easily gone back for seconds! We also tried the courgettes, which were crispy and incredibly tasty. The lovely waitress was friendly and incredibly professional. "This restaurant is clearly overrated. I ordered the burrata with tomatoes, and the burrata was unremarkable while the tomatoes were overripe. Next, I tried the tagliolini with black truffles; the pasta was slightly overcooked, and there were only three truffles on the plate. Overall, the service was average. We had to request basic items like olive oil, salt, and broth. There was also a diner who loudly complained and insulted the staff, which was quite outrageous. We ended up leaving the restaurant feeling frustrated and upset. While such behavior isn’t acceptable, it reflects the dissatisfaction with the service we experienced."

"We were pleased to find this place, and the food was great, the service warm and welcoming, with a decent wine list. But we won 't be back. Our starters mozzarella in carrozza, and sea scallops with pancetta, were superb, and portions were much larger than we 'd expected! We both had the 'special ' lemon sole, which was perfect. No space for desserts. We would 've stayed for coffee and grappas, but by that time, we 'd looked up the meaning of the word figa . I can 't give it, here you 'll have to look it up for yourselves. Just to say, there 's no pun, no witty wordplay; it 's simply a boorish and offensive term for part of a woman 's body. I 'd suggest a rebranding fast."

"This is our local Italian deli, with the restaurant to the rear of the shop. The food is never anything less than wonderful, We've eaten here a lot and never had anything but a great experience. The kids menu is small, but adequate with pasta and pizza on offer and it's possible to tweak the items. "EDIT They did change it to a bolognaise wen I phoned but I still wouldn’t eat out here again. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and a portion of macaroni cheese, pizza was undercooked and the macaroni cheese was as if it was made with powdered milk as the colour looked like it hadn’t seen a block of cheese! Phoned back and they’ve told me that they have had to change the ingredients, Ingredients definitely taste cheaper so it’s not up to standards for the prices they charge, shame because used to eat out here regularly but it’s went ryt downhill n al not be back"

"Booked to come here to celebrate my Birthday with family. Have to admit, I haven't visited here since before 2019, my expectations were exceeded. They were most accommodating, due to the fact that some of my family members sadly became ill, so could not attend, however after informing Fiume, they were most gracious adjusted our table dinning requirements accordingly. The restaurant was very busy, however, that certainly didn't detract from the excellent attentive service that we received. From our starters of Crespella Ai Funghi E Salsiccia, to our mains of whole Seabass Flambe Di Gamberi, our food was superb, along with the very attentive waitress that looked after our table for our food drinks. It was quite a night, due to the fact that there must have been at least 6 other Birthday parties celebrating there, which was unusual to experience so many, . . just shows what a popular Italian Restaurant this really is. Thank You to all the staff chefs Fiume Italian Bar Restaurant, for making my Birthday celebrations an evening to remember. We'll definitely be back very soon."
