"yakinori sits on a section of the bristol road that is not known for its culinary excellence. it is student center; a stone throw from the university birmingham, where cheap beer and average Indian restaurants go hand-in-hand together, while pissed-up students cavort or do what pissed-up students do these days. I like this part of brum, because I can come with low expectations and not after home disappointed or broken. but eating good? No, that's a myth. or at least it was until yakinori arrived."

"Yakinori has a dedicated Veg Vegan Menu of Japanese fusion food and the restaurant is fun and vibrant. Lots of vegan options and delicious, too. My favourites are the vegan yasai donburi, kabocha pumpkin katsu, vegan yasai ramen, the vegan sushi (especially the inari sweet tofu nigiri) and the vegan yasai gyoza. They do really good vegan bubble teas at Yakinori Bristol, too! The service is always warm and friendly and they also have 2 branches in Birmingham."

"Came here for dinner with my sister who has a lot of food allergies (dairy, nuts, eggs, seafood, sesame seeds, basil, and tropical fruits)."

"I had the tom yum soup, which was fantastic—just what I needed on a cold and dreary day. The highlight for me was the deep-fried wontons; I can't believe how delicious they were—crispy, flavorful, and simply amazing! The grilled dumplings were also very good, even better than the dim sum. I highly recommend trying the food here!"

"I ordered three dishes: Salmon nigiri, takoyaki and chicken katsu curry. The food was good overall although I have a few complaints. They are unaccommodating to customers with dietary restrictions (I cannot have alcohol) and they only stock alcohol based soy sauce according to the staff. I had to have my sushi plain without the soy sauce unfortunately which is a shame. Secondly I don’t particular like the way they serve chicken katsu curry with rice in a small plastic bowl which keeps moving around the table every time I’m trying to scoop out the rice. The katsu chicken was delicious but the katsu curry could do with a bit more seasoning. I wish they have non alcohol based soy sauce alternative otherwise I would return to this restaurant."

"We were thrilled to finally try out this restaurant and it was well worth the wait. We made a reservation in advance because we knew it was a small Japanese restaurant."

"No soap in disabled toilet. This situation has lasted for months. I informed the manager a week ago, and he promised to sort it out. Yesterday there was still no soap. There is soap in the other toilet, and the dispensers are not broken. So it looks like someone constantly forgets to fill the one in the disabled toilet. Very disappointing to say the least. A disabled child has no possibility to follow elementary hygiene rules."

"I've loved Itsu a lot over the years especially their Thai Chicken Curry and Rice.I ate early afternoon. The food was warm but not pipping hot and the salt content was a bit too much. It may be just this store. Will definately eat more of it in the future."

"8£ for a chicken teriyaki which had 5 small pieces of chicken on top and just rice rice rice.. Sushi pieces tasted refrigerated and not fresh 4.39 (eat in) for a chocolate mousse smaller than a standard yoghurt. Tables were disgusting, very sticky and with hairs stuck in.. Service is bad, some items you have to pick up yourself from the shelves , other items we have to wait at the till.. All over the place, not clean and food quality is low Expensive considering other places around, quantities served and quality.. Won 't return Blonde young lady was friendly"

"good restaurant with good price, especially if they are looking for some meals after 20 o'clock where most restaurants are closed. there are many seats and toilets. there are also 50% discount on sushi after 9 o'clock, it is very cheap!"

"Itsu provides simple, yet delicious sushi and other Asian quick foods. It's friendly staff will help with any inquiries you have, and the restaurant is clean and well styled. Seating could feel uncomfortable on the stools for larger backsides, but all in all, a pleasant dining out takeaway experience. Well located for easy access and shopping eat betweens. Recommend the dragon rolls"

"They have quite a few vegan/vegetarian options here, which is pretty great. Had one of the veg sushi sets (with vegetarian gyozas inside). It was pretty decently priced for the amount that you get, and considering sushi in other places would cost you probably twice or three times as much. The sushi pieces were okay, I guess. Nothing amazing, and not the worst sushi you will ever have. But avoid the gyozas! The skin is... not the best. Very, very tough and dry when I had it (doesn't help that they were cold as well) and it completely lacked flavour. Itsu is worth going only if it's after evening when they slash their prices down for their boxes, or if you fancy a quick, relatively cheap eat around the city. The place is pretty nice though, I'll have to say x"

"best seafood dishes I ever tasted, this is another level restaurant where food tastes like nowhere else. the service is also amazing, a service and a treatment that they will not get anywhere in london. a perfect place for romantic dinners, birthday parties or business meetings, it is worth every penny they spend."

"itsu is a fast casual restaurant with a slightly upscale vibe, but still affordable prices. The menu is Asian-inspired, with a focus on Japanese cuisine. The vegan options at itsu have grown significantly over the years, with delicious offerings clearly marked on the menu and packaging. One standout dish is the detox miso noodle soup, which is low in calories but can sometimes be too salty depending on who prepares it. Some new favorites include the veggie dragon roll with vegan mayo, veggie meatball coconut soup, and veggie gyoza noodle bowl. There are other vegan and vegetarian options available that are worth trying, all clearly labeled for convenience. Most staff members are knowledgeable about vegan options, a diet that is increasingly popular in Britain. Overall, itsu is a solid choice for high-quality, healthy food, and I would rate it a 4 out of 5."
"my first visit was certainly not my choice, I'm just randomly with some friends together. I've always avoided going to one of those chain restaurants. what surprised me most was the fresh of eating. I really enjoyed everything I tried. I would decide to go back. actually, I would if I were to take a lunch. this place had a very large dining area in the cellar. not always a fan of cellar, windowless areas."

"Simple yet satisfying lunch options at this restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the generous portion of tuna nigiri and the flavorful chicken wrap with pomegranate and mixed greens. However, I wasn't too impressed with the soup options."
