"I had the most amazing chicken masala here recently. I didn't even know this place existed. I had a business meeting in the restaurant and I am very impressed with the food. definitiw one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. they were looking forward to going back there, they also had a nice pinot grigio I forgot to get the name. the person with whom I had pasta and was also very impressed by their meal. as they can see from the photos, it was also beautifully presented."

"The pizza at this restaurant is your typical takeout style - a basic bread base with a variety of toppings. While nothing special, it is still much better quality compared to some other big chains. The curries could use some improvement, as the basic sauce is tasty but the portion sizes are on the small side. The dessert was a bit overcooked and lacking in quantity. Additionally, there was no warning about the meat used in the dishes. On the positive side, there is no additional cost for rice or chapatis. As of the time of this review, the restaurant has received a hygiene rating of 5, which is reassuring."

"We happened upon this little shop whilst perusing Harrogate and brought a selection of Cheeses to take to family that evening. The two ladies working were fantastic in helping us choose a lovely Brie with Truffle, Smoked Cheddar and a strong Blue. With a little taster of each we were soon agreed and the three cheeses were nicely wrapped up in paper.Our hosts loved them that evening and being local themselves have plans to pop in and see the array on offer for themselves."

"We have used the Balti Express for good Indian take-away food for a long time and often, but during September 2019 we had a terrible meal. We ordered a delivery that took just short of two hours to arrive, and then the food was very bland, flavourless and under spiced. It was horrible. The food has always been good before, but this time it was shockingly bad. After many years of this being our take-away, I think it's time for a change. It was terrible. Very sad."

"On walking in we were shown to the bar and told it would be a short wait for our table, it turned out to be seconds rather than minutes, the staff were very pleasent and helpful and patient. The food and drinks arrived at just the right timing and both the food and drinks were spot on. I would recommend Bellini's to all, mywife asked a waiter if he could take a photo of our party and he did so with no complaint at all. All the staff were polite and friendly."

"We have eaten at Olivo on several occasions and had a lovely lunch. However, how anyone gets a table now is beyond me! We put in an online request and a reply came back saying our request was 'pending '. As there was no reply after a few days I rang the restaurant . My name and email was taken and they confirmed they would look into this and get back to me that day. Nothing! We rang again. Apparently as the manager wasn 't in no one else could help, but someone would ring back. Again no phone call. We sent a follow up email asking what was going on and still no reply. We have now booked our party elsewhere and will not be repeating this experience! Olivo you need to sort out both your online booking service and your customer service as both appear to be a total failure!"

"I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. We booked a table for 7:30. We stood at the entrance for over 10 minutes and were not acknowledged all. A waitress marched in front of us countless times in a dismissive manner. I saw another person talk to a delivery driver in an appalling manner. The kitchen staff showed a horrible attitude to each other. We waited a little longer. Even my partner, who is the most patient person I have ever met, said let's go. So we ended up turning around and eating dinner somewhere else. Pizza express did not deserve the business. If someone had said hi, or “we will be with you” we would have understood. But to behave as though we were not there was unacceptable. If you want to have a dinner at Pizza Express go to the Bisboos Stortford one."

"Hats off to the management and staff of Cantinetta for truly earning this one-star review from me. It was a team effort that I felt deserved recognition. We had guests from out of town and it was up to us to pick a restaurant that showcased the best of Crosby (according to Google reviews). We were a party of 10 who had reserved a table for Saturday evening with plenty of time to prepare and even pre-order if needed. Upon arrival, we were seated and given the drink menu. Unfortunately, the staff took 40 minutes before taking our drink orders, despite reminders. They seemed to make excuses rather than fulfill their duties. We should have probably left at that point, but we stayed. The food that was eventually served was inedible, particularly the Bruschettas which were popular choices for starters. There were delays in serving the main dishes as well, with some younger guests jokingly starting to eat the table. Thankfully, the main meals were of decent quality once served, but the service lacked any apologies or acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction. When we spoke to the manager about our experience, he seemed indifferent. This lack of care or apologies for a subpar experience on their part is the reason for this one-star review. "Ordered a late night snack of just eat, ordered spicy rice, a chicken thing in a pita bread, and a quarter pounder with cheese chips. The rice is absolutely vile I’ve had one spoonful and literally made me gag. It’s literally some pilau rice absolutely drenched in paprika chilli flakes or whatever poison is used, no flavour too it at all and now I can’t taste whatever is in this pitta bread (probably a good thing) because my mouth is burning. Absolutely 0 flavour the only thing it actually resembles is what I think would be the taste of petrol. If I’d have known I would of just gone downstairs microwaved some rice and shoved a whole pot of chilli flakes on, and spared myself £2.50. The bread on my boyfriends burger was almost stale, and chips were soggy and cold. Fortunately for you I can’t comment on this thing that looks like a piece of leather in some bread because I can’t ****** taste it. If you’re going to run a takeaway you should atleast make sure you can make decent food. Oh and always check the hygiene rating, but let’s leave that for another day."

"I’ve been to Giovanni’s three times in the space of three days only because the Capricciosa Pizza was SO delicious, and I wanted to have it again!! On the third night I had the parmigiana di melanzane, and it was fabulous as well. My partner had the minestrone soup and spaghetti bolognese, and he was equally impressed. The food is really very good, and the service is impressive. Especially if you’re lucky enough to have Izzy as your waitress, you’re in luck! She will look after you and make sure that you have the most delightful dining experience. Whenever I return to Knutsford, I will ensure to eat here again!! "A diner-style cafe full of great Italian flavours. And that's just the staff to start with! Highly recommended. The menu is vast at very reasonable prices. Close to the city centre this cafe is very convenient for locals and tourists alike. Always a great vibe and the staff are so friendly. I regularly pop in for brunch and have also tried some of the pasta options much to my satisfaction. The coffee is Italian and uplifting. You can also try the evening fare with drinks ready for a jolly night out or trip to the nearby theatre. Aways delicious in a simple yet elegant manner."

"This is mine and my mum’s absolute go to restaurant before a show in Edinburgh. Without fail this is where we end up at the start of our night. Great prices, food and staff – I cannot recommend this place enough. Last time we had the pre theatre menu and everything was delicious and served very promptly. I started off with the fried Camembert which was delicious and just melted in my mouth while my mum had the mushroom in the white wine sauce. For main course; one of my favourite Italian dishes is meatballs and pasta which luckily was on the menu – it had lots of garlic through it which is just the way I like it. My mum went for the lasagna which was lovely but extremely hot when it was delivered to the table. As if I hadn't eaten enough I had apple pie for dessert while my mum had a coffee. Everything was delicious and we were out in plenty of time for our show. I’ll definitely be back again."

"The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was disappointing and the service was slow. We went for a quick lunch during our lunch hour, but ended up waiting 20 minutes just for our drinks, leaving us with only 15 minutes to eat our meal. "The restaurant downstairs is cute but small, with only 24 seats where you are very close to your neighbor's table. The service was nice, starting with a bottle of cold water and good fresh bread. Unfortunately, the wine selection was limited to varietal with no mention of producer or vintage year, which was disappointing for serious wine drinkers. The pizza margarita was good, although it could have had more flavor. We were not impressed with the linguine vongole as the clams were not in the shell, making it difficult to discern their freshness. The clams did not taste fresh and the sauce was overly oily with little clam juice or flavor. Prices were fair, but we are unlikely to return based on our experience."

"Told to sit outdoors as restaurant was having refurb which we hadn't been told . I had phoned and booked a few days earlier. It was cold and late September but they had patio heaters on. During the meal the heaters went off and the food was tepid when it arrived. The power had been switched off for a while during work indoors. My 60th birthday with a large group including my one year old granddaughter. No apology given . Staff was busy on her phone . Shame I've been going for years and it's a 45 drive. Won't be going back."
