"0 stars. This was our favourite Mexican restaurant but we ordered food from here and experienced the worst food poisoning we’ve ever had to the point a paramedic had to visit the house. We tried to email to handle this privately but they took no accountability, they only denied that their food was the cause and told us it was wrong to accuse them and they have done an investigation to conclude they couldn’t have given us food poisoning. How can you know this? You don’t have the food we ate to test this if it was contaminated? This was the only food me and my partner shared and half an hour after eating it we felt a bit weird but didn’t think much of it until we woke up throughout the night with stomach cramps and the full effects of food poisoning started the next morning. They even said via email as we had eaten there before how could they have given us food poisoning? That’s not how food poisoning works… all you had to do was take accountability and apologise but you have failed to do so. We will not be visiting or recommending this restaurant again."

"I stopped here on Saturday night for a late night feed with my other half. I 'd had a massive lunch so wasn 't actually that hungry, but the S.O. was starving and suggested Taco Mazama as a nice alternative to a greasy takeaway! I 'd been in the Taco Mazama inside Central Station before but was left a bit unimpressed by the standard of service I 'd received, although the food was nice. I 'm happy to say the Renfield St shop was different! I opted for a small quesadilla filled with chipotle shredded tofu, cheddar cheese (duh), caramelised onions and jalapenos which came to £4.50. S.O. got the fajita filled with beef and chorizo chilli and it was the more enormous thing I 've ever seen! The server ripped the first tortilla because it was packed so full! We took away and ate once we were home and I loved it. S.O. said his fajita was too beany but he 's a notorious fusspot! I got the roast tomato and chipotle salsa to dip my quesadilla in and it was nice and spicy! I think next time though I 'll ask for a side order of sour cream because my mouth was on fire by the time I was finished! The staff were super nice in the store. I asked the server to talk me through using the Swipii machine because I hadn 't used my Swipii card before. Turns out she hadn 't either but was kind enough to stand and go through it with me. I really liked the vibe in the shop and liked that they have the allergens menu on the wall for you to look at. I hadn 't realised how many veggie options were on offer before, and I think I 'll definitely be back for more. There 's not many seats in the shop, but I 'd like to sit in on my next visit also. I 'd like to add I got a quesadilla once from Pinto (a place I actually really liked) and it was such a disappointment. I honestly was devastated by how terrible it was because I 'd been looking forward to it all day, and I 've not been back to Pinto since! I think Taco Mazama will be my go to place for fast mexifood now!"

"the day that I get tired of treating my palate to the sensational combination of lime, salt, bor, chili, cheese, mais and coriander will be the day that I am tired of living. there are some other kitchens that animate me as, or can boast the same amount of vibration and energy in their directed. they bring me with a note that a good Mexican could have opened in my neck of the forest, and I will be there before they hardly switched on the gas. it's something that london lacks, I feel. enough good Mexican restaurants. lupita and mestizo are certainly decent. I have given several chances on wahaca and are mostly underwhelmed, but with a game book of chili seeds leave silver lining. I am...read more"

"I visited this restaurant on Saturday (27/10/18) for brunch with my partner. We were very excited as the reviews were quite good. Overall the food was ok, but not amazing, and there were barely any options for people who do not like spicy food. The real problem came when I ordered a coffee and found a hair, floating in it. This was incredibly off putting. I realise that things like this happen but, although, the staff were apologetic, I was given a replacement coffee which I then still had to pay for. I think that good customer service would have taken the coffee off the bill or would have at least offered to do so. There are too many brunch places in London to risk going to this one and not being offered proper customer service. I have had lesser issues at other venues and have been treated much better. Not worth the money."

"Our first visit here, very busy but food and service were fantastic, recommend they don’t try and remember our orders but right them down. We were charged for a few items we didn’t receive and didn’t get some items we ordered. Food was excellent, we booked for 6.30pm on a Saturday and had to stand around for 10 mins before getting a table. Would definitely go here again. Recommend they have someone to meet and greet customers as they arrive, lots of people standing around waiting for their table or to be told fully booked. Music is on one minute then off, prefer on all the time."
