"I stopped here on Saturday night for a late night feed with my other half. I 'd had a massive lunch so wasn 't actually that hungry, but the S.O. was starving and suggested Taco Mazama as a nice alternative to a greasy takeaway! I 'd been in the Taco Mazama inside Central Station before but was left a bit unimpressed by the standard of service I 'd received, although the food was nice. I 'm happy to say the Renfield St shop was different! I opted for a small quesadilla filled with chipotle shredded tofu, cheddar cheese (duh), caramelised onions and jalapenos which came to £4.50. S.O. got the fajita filled with beef and chorizo chilli and it was the more enormous thing I 've ever seen! The server ripped the first tortilla because it was packed so full! We took away and ate once we were home and I loved it. S.O. said his fajita was too beany but he 's a notorious fusspot! I got the roast tomato and chipotle salsa to dip my quesadilla in and it was nice and spicy! I think next time though I 'll ask for a side order of sour cream because my mouth was on fire by the time I was finished! The staff were super nice in the store. I asked the server to talk me through using the Swipii machine because I hadn 't used my Swipii card before. Turns out she hadn 't either but was kind enough to stand and go through it with me. I really liked the vibe in the shop and liked that they have the allergens menu on the wall for you to look at. I hadn 't realised how many veggie options were on offer before, and I think I 'll definitely be back for more. There 's not many seats in the shop, but I 'd like to sit in on my next visit also. I 'd like to add I got a quesadilla once from Pinto (a place I actually really liked) and it was such a disappointment. I honestly was devastated by how terrible it was because I 'd been looking forward to it all day, and I 've not been back to Pinto since! I think Taco Mazama will be my go to place for fast mexifood now!"

This is not a good taco restaurant. The tortillas chips and hard tacos were stale. The BBQ sauce seemed like a good idea at the time I was ordering, but it was sticky sweet and was zero Mexican. The guacamole was way too puréed. The cheese was not right. Nothing was right. The UK should recruit some entrepreneurial Mexicans who are good at cooking.

There was a time when I used to look forward to gently removing the tin foil to gaze at my taco mazama burrito, in anticipation of the joy it would bring, like peering at my first born in a blanket. Sadly, not the same TLC goes into producing these little Mexican bundles of joy anymore. I can imagine making 100+ every day could be pretty soul destroying for the staff, but the burritos are a pretty soggy affair nowadays. However, I don't believe pinto are great either. The Glasgow burrito crown is still their for the taking. I am looking forward to assessing the next challenger.

Okay, maybe I have irrationally high expectations, being from the US, but seriously, anyone looking for anything resembling Mexican food (or even a US burrito chain a la Chipotle/Qdoba) should probably tick this one off the list without even bothering. Two stars because it tasted okay and it didn't make me sick. But barbecue pork with *sweet* sauce and cheese warmed in a toaster oven does not a decent taco make. Not to mention that the place has all the warmth of a student dive, really. I guess it's an effort towards accessible Mexican food, but it's not even really Glaswegian, just half-hearted.

We only went to this place because we wanted a quick snack before our train ride (it's right outside the Central station). It was good for a snack since we were hungry, but I've had tacos that are 10x better than here. If you're desperate for a taco and this is the only place around for a mile or something, then sure, get it. But if you have other options, I wouldn't come here...The tacos have the smallest amount of meat (I got the vegetarian jackfruit and it was still small). Toppings were typical (not authentic) toppings. One of the salsas (habenero I believe) was actually spicy and had flavor, but other than that, I was not impressed.

I'm a girl who loves a takeaway, but I'm always dissapointed when I only have Indian or Chinese to choose from. I was pleased when Taco Mazama opened in Glasgow's Renfield Street, being a massive fan of Mexican, and an even bigger fan of a munch in front of the telly. We took advantage of the restaurants on-line ordering service, which was brilliant! My friend lives in the Merchant City, so, armed with a menu and the laptop, we got set to order. I decided on the Beef and Chorizo chilli Burrito. It gave you the options to have it vegetarian or with chicken, with a few different variations, and with as much or as little chili as you want. It was only £4.99 which was pretty reasonable. My frien...

I decided upon suggesting meeting the boyfriend for lunch that I wanted a burrito. I've heard things about Mezcal Mole which is Taco Mazama's new tequila bar, so I decided to go check out this particular location. I regret not going to any other location. I had serious flashbacks to when Taco Mazama was new and their food dry and bland. This particular location was dark and dirty and the girls fixing the food looked just as dirty as though they had just rolled out of bed. The food was set up in the most bizarre way like it was a pop up shop buckets all around, no rhyme or reason to anything at all. I probably should have walked out, but I decided to go with the lunch deal: £4.50 for a small...

I love Mexican food, I really do, and when I needed food on Saturday evening after work promptly, I went to Taco Mazama due to it's proximity to Central Station and the taxi rank. One thing I'll say about Taco Mazama is that it has a better variety of foods than Pinto, I do prefer Fajitas and Quesadillas to Burritos because I'm not a big fan of rice so I had a Fajita. The ordering system is a lot simpler aswell for people who don't often go to Apart from the variety of foodstuffs they have, I don't think Taco Mazama has a lot going for it at all. My fajita ended up going soggy because the chicken had this weird juice stuff coming out of it. There was just something lacking in it, I could bar...

I really like Taco Mazama, I 've only been 3 or 4 times but I 've always had a good experience. I am delighted they have a very prominent sign displayed about options for vegetarians and vegans. I am delighted they have started 'Vegan Tuesdays ' (even if sounds like there 's a bit of faffing around online to get the deal). I am delighted they sell beer. On to today I 'd spotted on Twitter them advertising a £4.50 lunch deal (12pm 5pm) which included a small burrito, drink (not including beer), and either a small bag of tortilla chips or fruit. They have a list of different fillings you can have in your burrito, with some meat options and 2 veggie options.... maybe 3, I think you can also hav...

Popped in here a few weeks ago before going to the cinema with the other half, I was absolutely CRAVING Mexican food and didn 't mind trekking down here from where I 'd parked near the cinema to get some. The aforementioned other half used to work near here and being a total grubber, got food from them quite a lot so much so that the managers still say hi to him when he comes in! We decided to take advantage of the burrito and a beer for £8, which in my opinion really is such a great deal! It was exactly what I was after and I wasn 't disappointed. I went for the barbacoa beef, with sour cream and mild salsa because as I 've probably mentioned at least three other times on here, I don 't do...
