"The Last Visit. Many moons ago we were big fans of the Battersea branch and frequent, and always satisfied, visitors. However, last night's experience at the larger Balham branch will be our last to either Gazette. In summary, the food continues to be lardy French and delicious but the service and whole experience left a bitter taste in the mouth. This place has set its stall out and for what you're paying, one would expect more. Booked table for 9.15, only to find that table was given away (without apology, just a we didn't know how long your wife was going to be even though they had been told a couple of mins). When a table did free up we were offered a tiny table right by the glass...read more"

"Harrods is a must do experience if you are visiting London. It is an awesome shop to look around and its huge. It’s window displays change frequently and are spectacular. It will take a few hours to have a proper look around but even looking around the ground floor you can browse a huge range of designer high-end handbags, jewellery, make-up and at the back of the shop the amazing food hall. Even if you have no intention of buying you will be pleased you visited. Upstairs the furniture areas are spectacular, and the shop is full of small cafes and bars to take a rest stop. You won’t find any bargains here and certainly you will probably pay a small amount extra for the same item v elsewhere but Harrods is about the spectacular shopping and browsing experience. This visit I only visited on this visit was the ground floor (as per photos) but I love all the floors here and often stop near the toy department at the frozen yogurt counter for a chill (and that place is nearly always fairly quiet and you can get a seat)."

"I have lived in California for 18 years, after 16 years in Europe, every year I want to go back to the old continental. One of the cities I like to visit is london. going through the streets is the best therapy. there are classics where I always discover new places, especially when it comes to healthy living. we met my man English friend for breakfast. they have a very varied menu, their staff is very professional, they inform them about all care about friendly wise. I had the omega 3 breakfast smoky salmon fresh avocado free sortiment eier super seeds tasty and my hubby the English breakfast both with a hot mocha. Make sure that a 12.5% is added to all bills as a service fee, but they can type more when the service is oustanding. I highly recommend this place for a fun healthy meal."

"let me start with the positive ones. grub makes some creative paninis/sandwiches and plays some great music. at my first visit I had the hammer of thor in a baguette, which was a beautiful large part and super tasted. the service was very fast and also, although I arrived on a busy Monday during the lunchtime. the negative is that the inner is not the most welcoming. it is a bit naked and economical look. could be 5 stars, but just need this additional touch to make the inner more attractive."

"a hidden gem in the heart of the covent garden, directly opposite st martin’s hotel. I can't recommend this place enough. it has a very relaxed but charming feeling, it with a spacious sitting area in the open. I'm so glad we stumbled over this place. The...menu is all with a variety and excellent food quality. I had a delicious burger with cheese, avocado and all the circumcisions. the bark tasted so fresh and juicy. my partner had the chicken taouk and really enjoyed it. I also loved their selection of fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes. in particular I loved her Sicilian style limonade with a twist of honey and mint, it was so refreshing. this place has good quality eating and we will definitely be back. many thanks for a beautiful Thursday evening in the heart of the covent garden."

"this place is a huge load, almost a food hall, scratched with delicious natural foods. five stars seemed a bit exaggerated for a casual lunch, but it makes all my hopes and dreams true. Low key, but with a menu that pays exactly to the quality of the ingredients for lunch, it had a nice mix of suppening, salads, sandwiches and played entree as well as baked things. had vegan suppe, which with two beautiful plates of multigrain and sun dried tomatenbrot, as well as a large salat. salat was big with a plentiful supply of new cartolls, quinoa with napkins, tomatoes/tocchini/mozzarella and rocket leaves- if not the sky then I don't know what it is!!! I would like to weigh for the brote alone again, was insane. the terrace series had some mouth-watering delicacies like vanilla cheesecake. everything is wonderfully fresh and firm for the eyes. they have made a large juice bar both ready and 'choose their own ingredient'. a perfect place for the healthy, who also desire a hearty meal."

"We visited the Lion Key Hotel before the Ride100 event, and we had heard great things about it. The experience exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, creative, and absolutely fantastic, all at a very reasonable price. The service was personal, friendly, and attentive. The decor was lovely, creating a wonderful atmosphere that helped us relax and calm our nerves before the race. We will definitely come back!"

"Probably one of the best English breakfast the capital has to offer. The quality of ingredients, skill of the cook and the presentation are at its best here. Served in a relaxing atmosphere, even the decor of this place is fun and comfortable. Well done. OK I'm posting again on the 15/08/17 because I've just eaten possibly the best marinated chicken burger you can get. Absolutely delicious. Served up with fantastic onion rings and fries. The service here is also top notch. Be warned this place gets busy."

"Visited here whilst in Putney on a Friday lunchtime. Very busy at the tills but staff are efficient. Lots more seating in this branch than it first appears. Other than the initial seating you can see there is a big space at the back of the shop behind the tills as well as on another floor. Despite being busy the tables were being kept clean which is great. Various new flavour wraps and sandwiches on offer in November in preparation for Xmas. I had a new falafel and avocado wrap with chipotle sauce which was good. Really like their seltzers. They are quite bitter so maybe not everyone’s choice but I think they are great as no sugar and great taste. The spelt and oat cookies were lovely."

"We called in here by chance and were not disappointed. A relaxed vibe, tasty food and friendly staff. We were asked if we wanted breakfast or brunch and we chose brunch. My husband had the Breakfast bun and I had the wild mushrooms served on toasted bread. Both were so tasty! We were offered water for the table, tea was served in a pot and I had the Elderflower fizz, which took a while to arrive but our waiter who originally took the order swiftly chased it up. The vibe is cool, relaxed and the decor quirky. Large glass windows allow you to people watch as you eat. Prices are reasonable for London with two meals, a tea and a drink coming in at £43. Seating can accommodate larger groups and also couples."

"The Waitresses and staff don’t shower. They come into work unshowered. I don’t like my food handled by unshowered staff members. How do I know? You know a person is umshowered when you look at them. They look stale. They touch their faces. Scratch their faces. Rub all the matter from their eyes. Never wash their hands and serve hot drinks, juices and food. I pin pointed it to the girl and she said oh she washed her hands after rubbing her eyes. But I was seated in front of her and she didn’t. She spied to the rest of beverage makers behind the counter. One by one stared at me, trying to be discreet. And starred at them hard, to make it known I was being gossiped about. That is my go to place to unwind and relax. Only if the waitresses shower before showing up for work."

"This restaurant is a nice spot for a quick snack. It could use more seating. The coffee was excellent and the sandwiches and pastries were delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and the baked goods were tasty. I appreciate the option to bring your own cup and receive a discount on your hot drink."

"Where to begin!!!! Let's start with the suspicious cash only entry fee of £10 pound after 10pm which isn't mentioned on the websites when booking a table... or the said table that was booked wasn't actually available as it had been given to other people despite the booking clearly being on the system.. or maybe the very rude bar staff who looked like she wanted to kill someone because we ordered 2 pornstar martinis, she didn't say a word...not when taking the order or taking my money.... there is one upside. The hostess was very friendly. When she realised she had given our table away. She worked hard to rectify it. However the staff seem to lack from there. Nobody working, just standing around talking giving people dirty looks. I'll stick to elsewhere in future"

"Great menu! Very refreshing and different to the usual North Indian cuisine majority of the British Indian restaurants offer. Definitely try their Indian Chinese starters like chilli chicken, salt pepper prawns, veg manchurian and their cocktails! Natak’s menu beats Dishoom for us ; They have a new and excited team of waiters waitresses who take your eating plates away in a rush so a bit of service awareness missing but otherwise they’re all friendly prompt. Cannot wait to return to try their diverse brunch menu which has dosas etc."

"Had a nice time at Lantana Cafe, but not sure it’ll be my go to spot. The food was good every dish tasted fresh and the portions were generous enough; the coffee was also good. The fair is standard Australian brunch, i.e., corn fritters or a hip take on the full English. Service was somewhat lacking our table wasn’t ready when we arrived for our booking and we had to wait. The staff was not particularly enthusiastic, but at least didn’t hover. And we were given our check without asking for it well in advance closing time. In short, while the food was good and the place nicely designed, it lacks the hospitality I’d want to give it the full five stars. It is, however, a reliable brunch spot where we were able to get a table not too long in advance, and in London that counts for something."

"The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is clean and pleasant. It's quiet enough to sit with your computer and they offer healthy options for breakfast, lunch, and more. They have a variety of items like salads, sandwiches, and fruits in the refrigerator, as well as soups. If you enjoy eating healthy, give it a try. It may be a bit expensive, but I think it's worth it."

"Bad communication from dismissive staff, despite poorly made drinks. On arrival, a waitor stopped the pair in front of us like a bouncer, told them to return to the queue in a shooing tone, only for the maitre d 'hotel to sit them down where they were about to sit anyway. Wherever the adminastative need is here, it is coming with inefficiency and rudeness to a pair of people who were waiting for a couple of minutes prior for no good reason, so to sit in a quiet cafe. Food and drinks were ordered exclusively online, through a slow web app my vodaphone signal struggled. £5.50 for an Iced Matcha Late. I ordered regular dairy as I 'm a cheap git, despite my preference for coconut, and was made to suffer under the waitor 's misunderstanding. I was brought fresh milk, which was clearly less fresh than anticipated as it leant an unforgivable sourness and chunkiness to the drink. The maitre d did not allow me to conclude my request that the milk seems a bit off before dimissing it and dashing off I really should have been offered a replacement, or ideally a refund based on my partner 's drink. Said partner got an iced chai, apparently sub par to the sam drink at Gails and (apparently) Starbucks. Nice ambiance, indeed ruining the experience for me. I think people know about this place from instagram, so it 's just groomed, vain 20 somethings, couples and mother daughter pairs, and unfortunately the former were the most present."

"Mixed experience. Had a booking, restaurant still on a Monday afternoon, took 5 minutes for someone to come to us at the desk, and when she did she barely said hello, just looked at us with a scowl. After that sat at table for 15 minutes waiting for someone to eat over. Eventually got order in, waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. We were there 30 minutes before we actually got a drink. Not really acceptable in a quiet restaurant, that was closing in less than an hour closes early on a Monday. Food was good when it came, and different waitress by now, who was so much better. So a mixed bag. I know staff difficulties at present, but 10 minutes training in fundamentals would help. As would have someone in charge on the floor to ensure paying customers are being looked after. Poor management from what I saw. Pity, as some of the staff were great, others very poor.
