"Been here numerous times to buy food (sandwich etc) for flights. I usually visit in the mornings and they are open early, are generally efficient at the tills and well stocked in the mornings. Food is normal Pret sandwiches and salads of the same standard as other Pret stores. On the last visit I was very pleased they are serving again the baguette of brie, tomato and mozzarella which I still can’t get at my local Pret. My baguette was lovely and fresh and my husband had the bacon/egg baguette, which he enjoyed. I also had a mango/lime pot and a dark chocolate and almond cookie (these are lovely). One disappointment if coming for breakfast is that Pret has stopped making porridge with non-dairy milk (no idea why as plant eating is on the increase). Although there is seating in this store it is quite cramped as it is always busy with people queuing and the seats are around the queue/entrance so not the most relaxing places to sit and eat and wait but great for take-away."

"I've been here twice. It's clearly popular with queues outside. The food is nice enough for the price. I've only had the breakfast items. Staff reception is so so. Some of the waitresses are very nice and friendly, others are so so. I was told off today that no laptops allowed at the weekend. I'm surprised they didnt tell me I couldn't look at my phone. I was on my own looking for some food and to do some holiday planning not allowed. An hour limit would have been a much nicer compromise and given thier slow service I could have got what I needed done on my laptop before the food arrived rather than using my phone and notebook. Probably won't be coming back again."

"This is a wonderful spot to relax. Enjoy a delicious crepe and a cup of coffee. I tried the "I'll have what she's having" crepe, filled with strawberries, cream, and Nutella or chocolate."

"We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday brunch lunch time and happened to walk past Quay Street Diner. Not hugely hungry just yet, we booked a table for 2 at 1.30pm. Getting there a little early, our table was ready in the busy restaurant so we sat down and ordered our drinks. Drinks (a pint and a tea) came out pretty quickly and our food order was taken. We then waited. And waited. For 45 minutes. My partner went up to order another a drink (as no-one came to the table) and enquire about food. Our 2nd round of drinks came 5 minutes later and the food 5 minutes after that. 55 minutes waiting for fish tacos and a Phillycheese Steak sub which were nice but not almost an hour wait nice. The server apologised when our 2nd round if drinks were brought over and when we went to pay they were also apologetic. I was looking forward to ordering a dessert (which sounded amazing) but didn't want to risk another massive wait. We left fairly quickly after finishing food."

"We absolutely adore Cinnabar - it's our go-to spot for lunch. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the food is always delicious and reasonably priced. They are always willing to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I highly recommend trying their Mac and Cheese Burger. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5. The average price per person is between £20-£30 for lunch."

"Ethos food is an amazing place to have a quick lunch or take away. They have all kind of foods: dairy free, gluten free, sugar free, vegetarian and vegan! For this plate I paid 15 and I was really full afterwards, so it’s defenitially worth the money! The waiters are very sweet and helpfull. They keep on refilling the food all the time, so when they’re running out you don’t have to wait very very long, till they get more of the food again."

"Poor service. Guests who needed a quick lunch weren’t allowed to sit at our table with take away food from the same restaurant. It would have been simple to put this on a plate and have them join us. Service was slow and unattentive. Not worth it given the cost of eating here."

"We were a party of 10 women for breakfast at 10:30. I had read lots of good reviews about York's so decided to give it a try. I thought the decor and ambience of the place was lovely and there was plenty of space for us and around us, so we didn't feel squashed in. The food was great. The only thing I would say is that the service was very very slow. Some of the party were a little disgruntled as it even took quite a while just to take our orders. The restaurant didn't feel that full either. Maybe there was a reason for this and maybe it's not the norm for York's, and therefore I have still given a good score. Personally, it didn't matter to me that it took so long as I was enjoying myself just being with my friends in a lovely place anyway."

"came to pret to do my writing work. because of the government campaign eat out, all invaders were 50% off. this worked well and the sale was reduced by my bill without request. good, spacious seating area for people who want to do something work. seats were slightly creepy and scattered in a way that made the place look less stylish than it could have been. otherwise the cappuccino and baguette I had were excellent."

"Le Bistrot is tucked away just a few yards from the tourist trappings of the Royal Mile, but feels almost like another world. Calm, relaxed, and authentically French. The service is prompt and professional, the food is good without being especially memorable, and it is a very nice place to spend an hour or two. The choices of desserts is slightly lacking (cakes, ice cream, or cheese), but overall, it is a very pleasant experience, and I’m sure we will return."

"Absolutely delicious baklava and a really nice friendly guy behind the counter. Asked him to choose five for me that he would recommend and I was glad I did, they were brill and he was kind enough to add in an extra one. Would definitely recommend."

"We went there for brunch on a nice sunny day. They let us sit in for because we didn’t have any reservations, which was nice. I guess. However, the food was a disappointment. Our waiter was not approachable, and every time he came he banged everything on the table. The food was mediocre served cold."

"Love Vicki's. Whatever they put in the sesame coconut rice, it's amazing and you cannot stop eating it. Or any of the other salads, for that matter. Or the butternut squash. With friends, colleagues or even with your children, although it's tiny, it's excellent."

"I should have realised when I saw that only one table inside was occupied yesterday evening and 2 separate tables outside with 2 at each that only ordered beer. Outside on the top ine of a menu placard was 'stuffed vine leaves '. I like dolmades (as known) so ordered them for takeaway asking for then NOT TO BE HEATED as usually served cool.. One would have expected them to fresh and readily available as a special.2nd mistake. 20 minutes later still the one only table which had drinks only, I was handed a bag with a sealed polystyrene carton and exuding heat. 20 mins later after walking home there was still heat and same when I opened the carton. It was blatantly obvious they had been microwaved from the freezer. and NOT FRESH. in the carton were, golf bell sized rounds and a hard dark brown outer with dark dry stale rice and a hefty addition of middle eastern spices. Inedible and disgusting. Not fit for consumption. There was only the one person working and he was wearing a stained grubby T shirt. He needs to check a recipe for genuine Dolmades. They should be wrapped in FRESH green vine leaves with a herb (mint or similar) fresh rice and rolled into sausage shapes rolls and boiled until TENDER not solid, dark brown dried out vine leaves (if that was they were, though impossible to tell. This establishment needs a visit from an inspector to check the kitchen, its contents and hygiene.. r"

"Have been there several times for breakfast, but this was the worst. Arrived at 8am. Had to wait 35 min for a green tea. Food came after 45 min and one of the platters was wrong (ordered Omega 3 breakfast twice but got only one and one plate with only sourdough toast). I asked them to remove the 12.5% service charge."

"Came especially for the vegan menu (I’m vegetarian as I heard good things about it. Drove from Lisburn all the way to Parkgate and had 2 very enjoyable nights. First night I had the cauliflower popcorn (bit too salty for my liking and the sweet potato roulade (amazing! . My husband had the soup of the day (very nice and the risotto (little bit stodgy, looked as if cooked too quick . For dessert I had the apple/berry crumble which was very nice and husband had sticky toffee (also gorgeous! . Decaf oat latte’s at the end sealed the deal. Just delighted to be able to order a good decaf coffee! Next evening returned with a friend. I had the salted chilli stir fry (verrry salty, but that’s what it says on the tin and the cauliflower pie. The pie was a bit of a let down. The gravy was overbearing, essentially, the whole dish tasted of gravy. I would have preferred to get it in a dish on the side (like with the roulade to add the amount I prefer myself. Same desserts again this evening, both again very nice. Service was ok, young girls mainly and you could tell some were a bit inexperienced but that really didn’t impact us. Food came out super quick! I will def be back, altho I won’t be ordering the pie again and I hope next time I will be able to try the “scallops” as they were sold out both nights (sat 6pm and sun 7.30pm and they just sounded amazing! If your hesitating to go for the vegan menu, don’t!! It’s the best vegan offering I have encountered to date. I really hope they keep it up."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."
