"The Last Visit. Many moons ago we were big fans of the Battersea branch and frequent, and always satisfied, visitors. However, last night's experience at the larger Balham branch will be our last to either Gazette. In summary, the food continues to be lardy French and delicious but the service and whole experience left a bitter taste in the mouth. This place has set its stall out and for what you're paying, one would expect more. Booked table for 9.15, only to find that table was given away (without apology, just a we didn't know how long your wife was going to be even though they had been told a couple of mins). When a table did free up we were offered a tiny table right by the glass...read more"

"nice eating, however, somewhat disappointed by the service. ordered an English breakfast tea, brought it to the table, then when we asked for milk, they ran out. return the tee, and wonderfully managed to find milk. not enough waiting staff and had to wait long for any service."

"I have lived in California for 18 years, after 16 years in Europe, every year I want to go back to the old continental. One of the cities I like to visit is london. going through the streets is the best therapy. there are classics where I always discover new places, especially when it comes to healthy living. we met my man English friend for breakfast. they have a very varied menu, their staff is very professional, they inform them about all care about friendly wise. I had the omega 3 breakfast smoky salmon fresh avocado free sortiment eier super seeds tasty and my hubby the English breakfast both with a hot mocha. Make sure that a 12.5% is added to all bills as a service fee, but they can type more when the service is oustanding. I highly recommend this place for a fun healthy meal."

"Visited here whilst in Putney on a Friday lunchtime. Very busy at the tills but staff are efficient. Lots more seating in this branch than it first appears. Other than the initial seating you can see there is a big space at the back of the shop behind the tills as well as on another floor. Despite being busy the tables were being kept clean which is great. Various new flavour wraps and sandwiches on offer in November in preparation for Xmas. I had a new falafel and avocado wrap with chipotle sauce which was good. Really like their seltzers. They are quite bitter so maybe not everyone’s choice but I think they are great as no sugar and great taste. The spelt and oat cookies were lovely."

"let me start with the positive ones. grub makes some creative paninis/sandwiches and plays some great music. at my first visit I had the hammer of thor in a baguette, which was a beautiful large part and super tasted. the service was very fast and also, although I arrived on a busy Monday during the lunchtime. the negative is that the inner is not the most welcoming. it is a bit naked and economical look. could be 5 stars, but just need this additional touch to make the inner more attractive."

"I had a chicken paella. Way too pricey compared to the taste and quality of the food. Should’ve been cooked longer as it was too moist if you know what i mean. It was literally just tomato sauce on chicken. Lower your prices or increase the quality and taste of your meals. Plus, 5pounds for a bottle of coke is crazy. Waitresses were very nice and friendly"

"We stopped by The Natural Kitchen for a Saturday brunch after shopping on Oxford Street. The place was bustling and a bit noisy, but the service was excellent. The waitress, despite the hectic atmosphere, was friendly and incredibly helpful—big thanks to her! As for the food, The Natural Kitchen offers a very healthy menu, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We even indulged in dessert, and both options were fantastic, especially the chocolate torte, which was simply wonderful."

"We visited the Lion Key Hotel before the Ride100 event, and we had heard great things about it. The experience exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, creative, and absolutely fantastic, all at a very reasonable price. The service was personal, friendly, and attentive. The decor was lovely, creating a wonderful atmosphere that helped us relax and calm our nerves before the race. We will definitely come back!"

"Great little restaurant. The menu is extensive and food is delicious. Cuisine is not Greek/Mediterranean as stated on this website, there are a wide range of tasty salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, main meals, desserts and breakfast options. They also serve great coffee, smoothies and their famous ice-blended freezacinos . The staff are friendly and helpful and the environment is child-friendly. I will definitely be returning!"

"Went into the Broadmead Bristol Pret yesterday with a friend. We picked up our sandwiches, crisps and a drink each and placed them on the counter. We were totally ignored while 3 staff members stood behind the counter, one was working the coffee machine, the other two I'm not sure what they were doing. They did not say a word, then a lady walks in to the place, walks right up beside us and she is asked what she would like! Unforgivable in a customer service environment. The server who totally ignored us was taller, dark hair tied back and spoke with a foreign accent. We left our food on the counter top and walked out. Went to Cafe Amore across the street now they have the best customer service and cheaper food so we will go to there from now on."

"We ate a late lunch here as a family of 4 last weekend. We were in a bit of a rush as we had to catch a train, and the food did arrive very quickly. I think to pay £9.95 for a halloumi wrap with salad is a bit on the pricey side and would’ve expected a few fries to be included at that price. The souvlaki salad and grilled chicken mayo sandwich were both really over-seasoned unfortunately. On a positive note, the staff are very polite and helpful."

"Great establishment! Sadly, Rude, and unprofessional staff member who completely ruined our evening (blonde lady/ host). Booked a table before it got busy and returned later, to which she demanded we pay £350 or she would give to someone else because it was now busy. Very embarrassing situation, and very unprofessional behaviour. Her customer service, and attitude on life needs complete realigning. With great displeasure we declined and entered normally. Another staff member (Alicia) later gave us the able (which is a row of seating as you enter), not a booth or anything special or what you would refer to as VIP. In all my years, this was definitely not VIP. We spent £300 with Alicia but would never return again sadly. Can’t help but comment that the blonde lady was under the impression that maybe thought we couldn’t afford it because I was black. Furthermore she is a representative of the venue and should not be rude or talk down to people. There’s definitely more to life. We are business executives despite her demoralising behaviour. Very very sad."

"This restaurant is a nice spot for a quick snack. It could use more seating. The coffee was excellent and the sandwiches and pastries were delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and the baked goods were tasty. I appreciate the option to bring your own cup and receive a discount on your hot drink."

"Mixed experience. Had a booking, restaurant still on a Monday afternoon, took 5 minutes for someone to come to us at the desk, and when she did she barely said hello, just looked at us with a scowl. After that sat at table for 15 minutes waiting for someone to eat over. Eventually got order in, waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. We were there 30 minutes before we actually got a drink. Not really acceptable in a quiet restaurant, that was closing in less than an hour closes early on a Monday. Food was good when it came, and different waitress by now, who was so much better. So a mixed bag. I know staff difficulties at present, but 10 minutes training in fundamentals would help. As would have someone in charge on the floor to ensure paying customers are being looked after. Poor management from what I saw. Pity, as some of the staff were great, others very poor. "Great menu! Very refreshing and different to the usual North Indian cuisine majority of the British Indian restaurants offer. Definitely try their Indian Chinese starters like chilli chicken, salt pepper prawns, veg manchurian and their cocktails! Natak’s menu beats Dishoom for us ; They have a new and excited team of waiters waitresses who take your eating plates away in a rush so a bit of service awareness missing but otherwise they’re all friendly prompt. Cannot wait to return to try their diverse brunch menu which has dosas etc."

"I absolutely love the fact that they serve breakfast all day! I honestly wish more places would do this. I always eat breakfast at different times. Sometimes you feel like eggs or porridge in the afternoon. Good on them! It was quiet on a Tuesday late afternoon early evening. Very hot day. As per most branches, wooden country cottage feel interior. For me, LPQ have always been hit and miss with any branch you visit, be it food quality, service or cleanliness. Branch was clean. Staff were really pleasant and friendly and service was fast (I am guessing this was because they were quiet). Good menu from all day breakfast to tartines, salads, breads, soups, juices, pastries, desserts and more. Vegan's are well catered for. I had the scrambled eggs on toast with roasted portobello mushrooms and a fresh orange juice. The breakfast came with two big slices of toasted bread and a side of butter. The portion size was big which justifies the price. Not cheap at all! Well presented and freshly made. Yes, I could have made this at home. Nothing out of the ordinary but nice. As I said staff were nice and happy for me to use the free wifi and do some work at the same time. I don't often frequent this branch but came by a few months ago as well when were in lockdown C-19 pandemic and got the spinach and pine nut swirl take away which was also good. Filling and tasty and not greasy. They even threw in free chocolates as it was near Easter. Let's be honest, LPQ do well on plain and simple home comforts. Nothing out of the ordinary. Branches have a nice atmosphere and staff are pleasant most of the time. Food and cleanliness are hit and miss."
