"It’s been sometime since I last went to the Mark Cross. Had heard there had been a change of hands which is always a risk but I have to say, the food was sublime! Felt a bit fishy today so we had the king prawn tacos and salt and pepper squid!!! Absolutely mouthwatering!! I’m not one for reviews but this is very deserved! GO!! You won’t be disappointed xx"

"amazing place with freshly baked tasty. the smell, taste and visual aspekte are great! I love the coffee that tastes a little more acidic, which is a nice change compared to conventional coffees from other coffeeshops. in addition, it has a great location for students next to the laban building. however not really affordable on regular basis (usually for students), because the price is a little higher. otherwise the place is highly recommended"

"That is not one of the best places, that IS THE BEST place where you can dine in in Edinburgh! You should definitely try the Scallops and shrimp appetisers, for the red meat lovers just go for the Lamb and for the light meat lovers: don’t even wonder SALMON!!! Moreover, I have never tried better olives in my life!!! Staff is super friendly and helpful, you will definitely feel like you have been taken care of and not only, you will walk out happier from there. The cosy interior and the vibe of the city will make you feel like you are on the streets of Paris! Just amazing atmosphere, I loved the table in the corner by the window! Amazing place for dates, very romantic! I highly recommend!!!"

"The place and view were beautiful! The food was not good, unfortunately. An hour later, we received a starter that was uncooked and had raw meat. We sent it back, but the rest of the food came out lukewarm. The chicken wings were undercooked. The main dishes arrived at the same time as the appetizers, and they were not hot either. The portions were not satisfying and lacked flavor. The pizza was cold, and when we complained, the manager offered the meal for free. The service from the waiter and manager was good, but the kitchen staff may need improvement. I would return for drinks, but not for a meal. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant."

"Came with the family for dinner. Smell in the room was so thick and strong of some oil diffuser. While we were waiting for food order a couple walked in and spoiled my mood as they stunk of tobacco and didn’t filter their language. My kids were sitting with ears closed as they were not shy to swear in their dialog. Member of staff didn’t care. My sensitive nose was suffering to breathe as the air in the room wasn’t ventilated and open door didn’t help to suck the smell of cigarette out. Food was very salty. I made a comment for the chef but doubt will be done something. Burgers were ok and very salty as I mentioned. Sweet potato Chips were the best out of all dinner. Member of staff didn’t look like they work there as were dressed casually and not like for work. Floor was sticky but bathroom was clean at least. Just disappointed that my friend highly recommended this place. Won’t be back again."

"Not for Sunday roast, my beef was swimming in gravy which instantly puts me off and the vegetables were totally disappointing cauliflower cheese which had something on top of it which tasted weird, cabbage and boiled carrots. What happened to lovely, tasty roasted carrots and parsnips with a roast?"

"We visited here for breakfast and ordered the acai bowl and smoky beans, scrambled tofu and avocado ssuce on toasted sour dough with a refreshing ginger jack juice. Both breakfast dishes were delicious and set us up nicely for the day ahead. Inside the interior is bright and spacious and there's a nice chilled vibe. Staff are friendly too. "the pret in nottingham has been here for many years. I have always worked in the city and have always found the food and drinks here to be very good. the personal is excellent and always friendly. "We placed our order shortly after we arrived at the restaurant. It was quite busy, but despite the crowds, the staff were very cheerful and welcoming. The food was tasty - we enjoyed the full English breakfast and the ham and cheese toastie. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit outside, which was lovely. The coffee was also delicious; we are coffee lovers and were pleased with the quality here. We want to give a special shoutout to Barbara, our server, who brought our daughter a coloring book and was sweet to her throughout our meal. She was a very kind lady."
