"Farmer browns used to be one of my favourite places to eat when I lived in the neighbourhood. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a couple of years when I booked in over the weekend. I was really disappointed. The decor has gone really shabby, and the restaurant felt grubby. There was different music playing inside and outside on the terrace, and with the door open, that became really distracting. We were the only people sitting inside the restaurant, and it was really quiet outside two, with just a couple of tables filled. Despite this, the table next to us remained stacked with plates and food left from previous diners for 20 minutes. When our starters arrived, one of the waitstaff started hovering next to us. Our drinks came warm. The starter of chicken wings was nice, but that was the highlight of the meal. Service was extremely slow we waited about 45 minutes between our starters and main. My partner's order was wrong, and my salad had no dressing on it. Despite all of this, it was pricey. It's a shame to see a once famous eatery lose its charm. I hope it will regain it."

Staff were really friendly and the meal was top notch. Got awesome ribs and the blond beer that accompanied the meal was A1. Fair play.

The food was decent, but the service was a little slow. The prices were high for the portion sizes. However, the lemonade was delicious.

One of the best burgers I've ever had! We're staying in a hotel down the road and almost walked past this little place, so glad we didn't. Lovely staff and great decor! View menu

Can't say enough about this place. Happened on it randomly while staying up in Rathmines. Loved everything about it. Friendly helpful staff, great menu and even greater food. Nice relaxed atmosphere for a busy place. I would highly recommend and definitely return.

Was here on Sunday for brunch. Amazing as the one on Bath Avenue. Friendliest staff, incredible food! Very friendly owner was going around making sure everyone was well looked after too. Hadn't been in a while (just due to the queues and Sunday reminded me why Farmer Browns is my fave brunch spot! :

We had our second visit to Farmer Brown's Rathmines . Mybwifecand I brought her sister who is visiting from the US. We had a wonderful time. We are from the early bird menu and the food was delicious!! I had the second best wings starter I ever had(my son's are chefs and my son Peter makes the best chicken wings in the world!! The pork tacos were fantastic and the fish and chips out of this world!! The batter was the best ever!. And the staff caterered for my very fussy plain eater wife, she had a ball. We were so impressed by the paintings on the wall , we bought one as a house warming gift for my daughter!! Thank you for a great meal! We hope to become regulars. Phillip OBrien Gleeson View menu

Edit: the fries debacle was handled so well and we were able to treat our hangry mouths with some replacement parmesan truffle fries. Thanks Todd for sorting it all out and having a great sense of humour about it! We're looking forward to coming back again and trying even more of the delicious food Very delicious food but we paid extra to upgrade our chips to the parmesan/truffle ones and then when we got our leftovers packed up they didn't put the chips in...which we didn't realize until we got home because we didn't think we would have to check to make sure all our food was in the container. So basically eat all your food or risk extreme disappointment when you think you have a treat for l...

This was the first time we 've stayed over night in Dublin. We where there for an event in vicar street. I was told that dinning out in the city was always expensive. We came out of our hotel for a bite to eat thinking that there would be a burger place close by. Then we came across this place. After a quick look at the menu myself and my wife look at each other and said 'we 'll have some of that '. We got in just in time for the early bird, but in saying that we 'd probably still have gone in anyway. The food we got was just absolutely amazing. My wife is a picky eater at the best of times, but both her plates starter and main where wiped clean. We even managed a slice of lemon meringue bet...
