"Nothing special or spectacular. Service was decent staff were friendly and attentive enough. Food was average but have had better. Chicken wings were small. Breads could do with tapenade or balsamic for dipping in rather than butter (which was in the little packs; wasn’t even presented nicely). Steak was fatty. Burger was nice but dry/overdone. The actual restaurant itself is quite cool, with the bar in the middle and gives a very modern feel. What ruined it was the choice of seats we were given at the kitchen door with staff running in and out or the front door with customers loitering around waiting to be seated I understand restaurants want to squeeze people in to make more money but I’m not sure either of those spots are the place to have a table."

"I love seafood, and love watching foodie channels and programmes. For so long now, we've wanted to eat at a place that blew our minds. Howth is great but I have never had the pleasure of a seafood platter like at Matts. We ate it as mains for 2 and it could have been enjoyed by 4 but don't you da4e make it smaller Matt. Just out of this world. I'm not lying when I say I woke up the next day and it was the first thing I thought of, haha its that good. We are booking again."

"Had the wings for my mains, plenty of meat of them which I like. Peope rant rave about the wings I have had better, there was nothing wrong with them I was just expecting a lot more because of that. I was expecting these to blow me away like something I’ve never had before because of what I’ve heard about them which made me have higher expectations but that’s on their end. Massive portion which I couldn’t finish lovely buffalo type sauce. Had the fish tacos for starters and although they’re a starter I would like them to be slightly bigger or have more prawn on them. Big fan of these 10/10, would usually be something I’d turn my nose at but since having ate them I’ve ordered them while eating out since."

"Farmer browns used to be one of my favourite places to eat when I lived in the neighbourhood. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a couple of years when I booked in over the weekend. I was really disappointed. The decor has gone really shabby, and the restaurant felt grubby. There was different music playing inside and outside on the terrace, and with the door open, that became really distracting. We were the only people sitting inside the restaurant, and it was really quiet outside two, with just a couple of tables filled. Despite this, the table next to us remained stacked with plates and food left from previous diners for 20 minutes. When our starters arrived, one of the waitstaff started hovering next to us. Our drinks came warm. The starter of chicken wings was nice, but that was the highlight of the meal. Service was extremely slow we waited about 45 minutes between our starters and main. My partner's order was wrong, and my salad had no dressing on it. Despite all of this, it was pricey. It's a shame to see a once famous eatery lose its charm. I hope it will regain it."

"Spoilt by a magnificent day, we were able to enjoy our coffee au-dehors and appreciate Howth in the far background and the bustling park in the foreground. Some observations: Accessibility: Steps up to the entrance of Fallon Byrne's have no handrail for the elderly. Sustainability: no recycling is done (at least it's not evident as everything ends up in a bin as pictured below). Food experience: just had a coffee that was hot and creamy. Would have liked a scone, but sadly all were sold out! Some interesting products sold in the shop: e.g., garlic and vinegar-flavoured crisps from Spain the flavour really tickled my taste buds! Place to visit again. Would be a real step forward if Fallon Byrne could at least begin to segregate e.g. their plastic waste, which is actually mushrooming for everyone since the onslaught of . Suggestion: start with some coloured bins (see Ireland's National Waste policy for more detail)."

"I was disappointed with my latest visit to this restaurant. I have had great experiences here before, but this time was not as enjoyable. I made a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night and was surprised to find no one to greet us at the door. The restaurant was nearly empty, aside from a large family group who had been there before us. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, I was unimpressed. It's a shame because this restaurant had so much potential when it first opened."

"I've been lucky to be able to photograph for 2 weddings at the Anglers Rest now and both times have been amazing. The guys are so accomadating and Agi is worth her weight in gold she's a superstar. Lovely venue, lovely staff and even better food highly recommended for any couple who wants that intimate and more personal alternative to the big hotels. Hopefully I'll see you guys soon Andy @forgedinlovephotography"

"Absolute find on our staycation.. The food was just Devine, getting the 100% approval from 2 fussy teenagers. We had breakfast there the first day of our staycation and ended up having dinner that evening and breakfast and dinner the following day there it was that good. The breakfast pancakes were a massive hit with the children and the omelettes were just delicious. For dinner the pizza was outstanding, we couldn’t finish it so we brought it back to our hotel later. The bacon and cheese burger was second to none. My husband had the mixed grill and he said it was divine. All the staff were exceptionally efficient, friendly and we felt perfectly safe and protected while dining there. All in all an absolute must if you visit Dublin... you won’t be disappointed."

"Have visited previously albeit a few years ago Used to be more of a gastro pub but now seems more of a drinkers pub with grub Old table service been replaced with order at the bar or scan and use your phone . However food prices are still high and the quality is simply not there any more We had beef lamb and chicken Sunday dinner priced at £21.95 a head The food was not seasoned and very bland . Definitely reheated frozen catering food nothing on the plate required any actual Cooking The lamb was very poor and actually crunchy ! The pigs in blankets extremely poor and dried out I have added a photo for reference I did air my complaints whilst there and the young manager did not refute my comment that it was all frozen although the pigs in blankets were apparently a bad batch therefore they shouldn’t have even been brought to the table The place was very quiet while we were there with just a few other tables occupied and a few having a drink in the garden . This is somewhere to go if you want a burger or fish and chips and a pint , not a nice meal with family . Cutlery wrapped in paper napkins , sarsons vinegar and Heinz ketchup bottles on the table and a cheap fake flower stuck into a dusty glass holder doesn’t work for the prices they charge"

"We came in for afternoon tea and had a great time. The tea, cakes and prosecco were really nice. We enjoyed every single part and time we spent there. The cost is perfect for what you get and very enjoyable. Recommend this place for a nice tea time for a special occasion."

"I treated my mother to a birthday brunch at Two Sisters restaurant last Sunday. We were warmly welcomed and given the rundown of brunch options, including buffet or specials, and the ability to make substitutions like turkey bacon instead of pork. This is a perfect spot for a leisurely brunch, especially for a mother-daughter outing. The food and service were excellent. We used a Groupon for our visit, but we'll definitely be back even without it. It was definitely worth it."

"Service was excellent.Wide menu choice on a Sunday, we went for the Sunday roast option and all had roast beef the meat was cooked beautifully. If you like big portions possibly won’t fill you up so would need to order some extra sides. Will definitely be going back. We have tried most restaurants in ealing this is definitely one of the best, highly recommend"

"Every time I visit Benedict's, I find myself questioning why I don't come here more often. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Despite being located above a popular city center bar with live music, the restaurant exceeds expectations with its comfortable and convenient setting. The decor is both solid and stylish, and the warm welcome from the staff has remained consistent over the years. While some may be swayed by a more elaborate menu or higher prices at other restaurants, I am perfectly satisfied with the tasty and affordable dishes at Benedict's. I appreciate the relaxed and high-quality experience, and have a special fondness for the welcoming staff."

"The Sussex is a really nice little restaurant just outside the centre of Dublin. Appeared to have a nice range of beer and a tasty menu. Portions were quite small for the price (but the shepherds pie I had was delicious). Staff friendly and very helpful."

"Today, 8 of us visited for lunch and had a great experience. The staff were pleasant, the service was excellent, and there was a great selection on the menu. The prices were very affordable and the restaurant was clean. We can't wait to come back and try the evening menu. Best wishes to Ray, Ciaran, and the whole team. We highly recommend this restaurant and think it is a great addition to the craft village in Derry city centre. We will definitely be back soon!"

"Awful… avoid, don’t waste your money! Visited the pub to sit in the pub garden to view the chapel but we’re greeted instead with a poor badly neglected area they called a terrace/garden. Nothing like the photos we saw on TA which were from 2014, obviously under different management who have let it deteriorate to a shocking level of disrepair. The outdoor wooden furniture was rotten, falling apart, nails protruding on benches, an absolute H&S nightmare. Disused equipment, dumpsters, old petrol cans, shopping baskets, rubbish strewn around making it uncomfortable to sit in and to look at. We found a table, rotten with used cigarette butts and to our left a dead mouse, our right a pile of dog mess.. dead flowers in rotten wooden planters, dead trees, broken umbrellas, no staff clearing up.. so disappointing, what could be a beautiful country pub in an idyllic village has been left to slowly rot away with management who obviously don’t care about the pub or their customers.. absolutely shameful"

"I haven't been able to visit lower Charminster for a couple of years or so. I was very hungry early evening on Tuesday 17th August 2021 and I went that way to order a favourite of mine, which is a chicken korma curry at the...Curry Master. I was disappointed to find it closed. This turned into a lucky day! Roxy's Bistro Bar was open. I went in and I was overjoyed to see Roxy herself on duty. Years ago I was a regular at Roxy's and virtually every time I went in Roxy was often working alone. I always enjoyed the food and a few pints of Becks. I mentioned to Roxy that my favourite pint is a Guinness. Much to my delight Roxy took note and announced on my next visit that canned Guinness with a widget inside was now on the drinks menu. It was delicious surprise from a can. Roxy has upstaged this can since then. Now another type of can is available. The Guinness is first poured into a glass and then placed on what appears to be an ultrasonic plate for a period of time. The result is as if it was poured from the traditional nitrogen gas hand pump. It's so close, it's not worth mentioning the subtle difference. I mentioned to Roxy I was starving and I would like to see the menu. Bless Roxy for remembering my preference for meat and fries. I went for Roxy's suggestion of a Today's Special of BBQ ribs with fries. The fries were unlike any I have had before, they were not out of fat frier for sure. They were delicious! The meat on the ribs was succulent and melted in my mouth with a wonderful tasting glazed sauce as a compliment. I enjoyed the fries even more when I dipped them in a pot of sauce which accompanied the me. No surprises for getting a great drink and a meal. What was really great is to find Roxy is back in her Bistro after taking a break from the restaurant to bring two lovely girls into the world. I recommended the Bistro years ago and I endorse the Bistro today. Do pop in and see for yourself. If you have a favourite and it's not on the menu mention it to Roxy and perhaps you'll find it available next time you visit? WELCOME BACK ROXY!"

"we had an early-book dinner in the restaurant la caverns on Thursday night. I booked it on the basis of reviews and was not disappointed good choice of appetizers and main on the very reasonable early booking menu, the four of us found something on it and all enjoyed mentioning the food, the calamari, since it was especially good we had also a bottle of white and red wine, both very nice and two whispering that was very nice to look back, but I was very sure to be"
