"Spoilt by a magnificent day, we were able to enjoy our coffee au-dehors and appreciate Howth in the far background and the bustling park in the foreground. Some observations: Accessibility: Steps up to the entrance of Fallon Byrne's have no handrail for the elderly. Sustainability: no recycling is done (at least it's not evident as everything ends up in a bin as pictured below). Food experience: just had a coffee that was hot and creamy. Would have liked a scone, but sadly all were sold out! Some interesting products sold in the shop: e.g., garlic and vinegar-flavoured crisps from Spain the flavour really tickled my taste buds! Place to visit again. Would be a real step forward if Fallon Byrne could at least begin to segregate e.g. their plastic waste, which is actually mushrooming for everyone since the onslaught of . Suggestion: start with some coloured bins (see Ireland's National Waste policy for more detail)."

Set In a lovely park. This is one of the best spots for coffee or for food in Dublin.

I brought my mother to this restaurant last Friday. The service was not great as the employees seemed to be standing around, which upset me. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. I probably wouldn't return for dinner, but maybe for a hot chocolate and a sandwich. It seems more fitting for a lunch spot. I tried two salad starters. The goat cheese salad was not as expected, but the sweet potato salad was delicious.

love the atmosphere of this place, the perfect place after a long walk on the pier. we only did on the last Sunday and then came here for some oysters, a glass blow for me and peel the seafood cahowder. the oysters were of the great variety of carlingford, salty and fresh. the seafood chowder was the classic type and had a lot of fresh fish and after a crispy and crispy walk was pleasant and warm. the ambiente is beautiful and the large windows and the subtle lighting make it the perfect name to enjoy an early fall. the service was impeccable, and their advice to their offered was well received, not only from us, but also from other dinners. the menu is wide and there...read more View menu

This Fallon and Byrne outpost by the seaside is a must for busy city folk in need of rest and respite to take the sea air.The restaurant is bright and airy, with high ceilings and gigantic windows, allowing hungry diners to peer out onto the luscious manicured gardens.Service here leaves much to be obliged unfortunately. Upon entering and informing the host that I had a reservation, I was greeted with a look of abject surprise and a oh, how nice. I disliked the tone. Our sandy haired server for the day needs retraining in the art of looking customers in the eye and being general pleasing to other humans as well as being efficient, the latter being without fault. The food, as...read more

After a walk through the volkspark we decided to eat our Sunday dinner here. I was hungry so I wanted to fill something to be a vegetarian, I decided to be a goat cheese and butternut squash tart (very small options for vegetarian). this came with a side of veg, but the waiter gave me the opportunity to swallow veg on baby cooking....I'm glad I went to cook for the baby! the tart was tiny, so I needed the baby to feel far away full. the tar was light, tasty and had a beautiful balance of aromen, although the goat cheese seemed to have come out of the refrigerator, so that it was hot and cold. my friends had the burger and chips. they both liked it. I had some of their chips as...read more

"I ordered a cake for my husband’s 50th Birthday having perused their website and deciding on a cake in the shape of the number 50 to mark this momentous occasion. The girl that took my order asked for a message and knowing that space would be limited, I decided on a short message. She asked me whether I wanted a photo which I had not considered due to the design of the cake but then decided to add this also. I paid for the cake. I collected the cake today and to my horror it was simply just a square cake with no 50! This was supposed to be presented at a surprise party tomorrow- I was so upset and shaking on the verge of tears after all my planning and more than two weeks notice. The staff only made excuses, like the person who took the order would not get things wrong, they didn’t do digits anymore, and there was not enough bakers, yet this was on their website and I had given clear instructions- a square cake could be ordered from anywhere- I was also told that digit cakes were much more expensive and could cost around £70??? I told them that I was willing to pay the costs- buying a cake for an important occasion was not a price problem- I was offered icing of 5 and 0 to be placed on either side of the photo and some cheap number candles. I told them I already had a topper and sparklers which were supposed to go on each of the digits- really disappointed with the service and poor excuses- The cake was supposed to be the centrepiece at the party but the order was not fulfilled"

"it is all to change again, but thanks to the coffee is ace really top notch, shaded and perfectly roasted. funny enough while we find the rich from latte to macchiato, cappuccino by flat white etc. gibraltar is nowhere to find, not as much as. the customized glass. the personal remains as cheerful as always, despite the fact that their business must be desperate, and their reasonable prices remain the same. it's only here again with another lock-off, but the policy doesn't call it a lock. These people are still paid, they enjoy nominated wage increases (imaginable that they can decide on their own wage increases and who have recently given their support staff (in many cases family members a wage (and associated pension) increase. maya like so many companies have lots of things at a theke near the door to sanitise and here is the thing that the type that makes the coffee I can go, feet stand from him and give him money to pay and take a coffee and change from him. but if he had this machine in his kitchen, I couldn't go for a free coffee in his house. I could work with him all day, but I could not sit for a beer with him in a local bar for half an hour, but we could meet in the local church for an hour service. So look. So they think about how important it is to help small independent, especially in these strange times when the only certain are dead, control and grab money, dishonest politicians."
