"I booked for Father's Day at the last minute having no idea what to expect and being a little surprised that there was still room. Two of us travelled by train, and it was next to the station. The five of us were all delighted and ate too much. The soup was nice and spiky, there was a massive choice for the help yourself second course, the mains were all as we wanted, and the desserts suitably fattening. Service was excellent and I, as dad, was given a little bag of goodies at the end. Really charming. We'll be back. Well done."
