"Unfortunately I think we must have gone on a very busy day. The whole experience just felt very unorganised. We only ordered drinks you only get a 1 hour slot in the café, but it took 40 minutes for a coffee, a bottle of Diet Coke, some tea a milkshake to arrive. Ordered a strawberry milkshake, got chocolate. Took another 5 minutes to get the new milkshake. Diet Coke was a glass bottle and they didn’t take the lid off. Had to ask staff twice for a bottle opener. At the end trying to pay, there were 4 members of staff around the tills. Only 1 staff member serving people. Others were just staring off into the distance or staring at the long queue of customers forming. There was an old lady trying to get into the café that clearly couldn’t open the door as it was too heavy for her, as well as a walker in front of her. Staff looked at her but didn’t think to help. So I had to open the door for her and prevent the cats around her from getting out. More disappointingly there was a customer who clearly had some mental disabilities, who was talking to her server. Server just stared and walked away. No polite conversation or anything. Really horrible to watch. I understand that of course when it’s busy these little things are time-consuming but they make or break a customers day, especially if they are physically or mentally unable to do things. Overall a very disappointing experience and we won’t be returning. (The cats however, were very cute and all looked very well looked after)"

"Have been here many times most is good experiences, have seen it slip down hill the last few times! My second to last visit the owner was sat on his phone at a table no greeting when we walked in no nothing! I then asked for a high chair for him to turn and look at us and shrugged his shoulders and said got none it broke then walked away! Put it down to maybe a bad day for him! Visit today yet again cafe empty him sat on his phone at a table walked in no greeting other than him staring at us! No other staff members there, for my sister to ask for something and him say no not got it then hurried her to for something else. Placed our plates on the table and walked off! Our order was wrong when we went to tell him he was outside smoking half way up the road! Considering no other staff members were in there just me and my sister! Who leaves their cafe unattended with customers!! For him to come back about 15 minutes later I told him the order was wrong he laughed in our face and said you only telling me now!! Told him yes because you’d been up the road smoking for 15 minutes while having customers in your cafe!!! He was the rudest most unwelcoming person I’ve ever met!! So moody and customer service skills! Safe to say we won’t ever be returning and it seems no one else does anymore as the cafe is always empty when it use to be full!! Says a lot."

"Probably the most miserable cafe I have ever frequented. We entered what appeared to be a nice cosy establishment, sat down and waited... and waited. We eventually got the menu we had to request, a crumpled, well used, dirty A4 sheet. The menu looked fairly promising so we forgave their reuse of dirty paper. Ordering, we eventually discovered was by walking up to the counter full of tempting looking cakes and attempting to attract the attention of customer avoidant staff, zero eye contact and the personification of misery, however, I forged ahead and asked if I could order. The waitress silently turned behind the counter and walked to the far end and stood at the cash register, apparently I was supposed to follow. Order placed and paid for I sat down. First the coffee arrived, nicely presented and fairly good, a pity about the ugly chipped metal spoon on the side. Then the main event, 1 fry up and 1 eggs benedict. The fry up: half the plate was filled with a chorizo style greasy sausage, a couple of shreds of fried mushroom and the remaining mediocre fry, and the other half of the plate was inexplicably taken up by a horridly bitter mismatching drizzle of balsamic vingear? Why? The eggs benedict, again half a plate taken up by a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, the other half a small slice of white loaf with two over cooked dry yolked eggs and a watery yellow teaspoon of sauce. Sadly after that nothing could tempt me to stay and try one of the cakes that drew me in the door. Verdict: The most miserable, avoidant staff I have ever seen, not just one staff member but every single one including the chef. And a greasy fry, overcooked dry eggs, a lack of sauce and inexplicably half of every plate reserved for a zig-zag drizzle of bitter balsamic vingear. My advice: Avoid! Overpriced, over cooked, and customers over looked."
