"I had a wonderful experience today! We went for an early meal with the family after our bowling session. I mentioned to the waitress, who I believe was named Kat, that I'm vegan, and she was incredibly helpful. She provided me with a separate vegan menu and recommended some of the best dishes since she’s vegan as well. The food was delicious, and even my picky 8-year-old enjoyed it. Kat was very friendly and kept us updated on how long our food would take. I will definitely be returning!"

"Booked a table on line, which was easy enough. Arrived at the Windmill, the lady logged in to find our booking, which took a little while as the app kept logging her out, and it had ‘the longest ever password’ to log in her words not mine. Took our seats, and ordered our drinks via the app. After about 10 mins, the same lady asked if we were ok, we said we were waiting for drinks, she went back to the bar and retrieved our order and brought our drinks to us. Next round of drinks which again were order via the app arrived promptly. Next we ordered our mains. Medium rare 10oz stake, and a lasagna. Food arrived. Lasagna was very good. Not overpowered with tomato or garlic, very tasty. Hubby’s medium rare stake was overcooked making it a bit dry and lacking taste, but he didn’t want to wait for another to be cooked. Not once did anyone check with us how the meal was. During the meal we ordered another round of drinks, and waited patiently. The lack of drinks made a dry steak even less palatable. We finished the meals (well left half the steak) yet still no drinks. After 25 minutes I went to the bar to cancel the drinks and ask for a refund. After tapping many buttons, hey presto the order was located. There was much confusion over how to do a refund, and at one stage it was suggested that we may have to have cash and the staff member sort it later, but eventually it got sorted as a refund to the card. STILL NO ENQUIRY AS TO HOW THE MEALS WERE!!!!!! As much as I enjoyed the lasagna, I don’t think we will visit again. One member of staff was spending more time having a chat with the locals than checking on things. There were a lot of food orders being collected for delivery, I felt that these were being prioritised above the seated diners. I wish I could say the pub was busy, but it really wasn’t so there was no excuse."

"lovely Italian restaurant, not reminiscent of the chain restaurants, just as i prefer them, authentic. Wonderful food, fab specials board the crab ravioli was sublime and perfectly seasoned. We had a bottle of wonderful Gavi di Gavi and lovely friendly knowledgeable service. Will definitely return, its years since i ate here and its still so good. Highly recommend"

"excellent dining experience” 5 out of 5 stars rated on 15 november 2013 new although it is ideal for a pre-theater menu when they visit the hippodrome, eating in milano is worthy to take over the time because it is very good in the did. the menu offers a great choice regarding the price including a fixed tariff pre-theatre that my partner enjoyed very much. as glutton I could not resist the daily special of lobster linguine and I cannot resist that milano was from a generous amount and high quality; both courses were delicious. the tables are beautifully designed and the service is friendly and attentive. I have absolutely no criticism to make (I didn't like the desserts, but I don't like Italian desserts and can hardly blame them for being authentic! . as a pre-oper menu (especially if the opera is Italian! "visited yesterday (25th) and was welcomed by the manager ian who explained the covid protocols and set us. our waitress was thrown away from her feet as they can imagine (250 covers) greeted us with a smile and friendliness. we got our drinks and salate; and in time our main courses arrived. tash was just too happy to change things on our order and make our meal perfect. Fortunately, there was a table next to us that complained and laughed at the personal (inappropriate.) it irritated me that they did not know that the restaurant was full to the braut, but ian placed it excellent. the staff was torn by the feet, but nothing was too much annoyed and they went beyond and beyond to make sure that we had a beautiful meal in the Christmas season. we will definitely book again for next year. thanks to all at harvester bassetts pole."

"We ordered 3 pizzas and some chicken wings with a delivery time of 25-40 minutes. However, the food arrived over an hour later, as the driver claimed to have gotten lost. The pizzas were not as hot or fresh as we had hoped, with cold and soggy cheese. The service was disappointing for a Monday evening when the restaurant was not as busy. Whether it was Herbies or Just Eat at fault, improvements are needed to avoid losing customers in the future."

"Came here as I'd heard the food was good and they have a good offer. Yes the main course was a good price, but when you factor in starters, garlic breads, desserts and wine it all evens out and your bill is still what it is. The interior is a little looking but it's the food that counts. My risotto was really good I'd come back just to have this again!! Our desserts were chocolate fudge cake served with very poor quality custard (I couldn't eat it, plus it was so gloopy it was stuck in the jug) and cheap ice cream. The cake was standard costco type cake, so they couldve given us a bigger slice considering it was £6 or so. We asked for the cake to be warm but was one was cold the other very very slightly warmed like it had only had 10 seconds in the microwave. Service is reasonably friendly very casual e.g. waiter in jeans, waitress in leggings and trainers."

"First time ever at a Miller and Carter for me and my Dad, who's birthday it was, and it was a lovely experience! The food was gorgeous and the banoffee pie I had for dessert was my fave yet!! The steaks were really good but...what made it a great experience for me was our server Danielle. She was really knowledgeable about the steak and the menu in general and was really friendly and smiley. Good service makes all the difference. Thank you! Definitely a treat. "I found the service poor and the food pricey. I arrived yesterday 23 October with three cycling friends; I had a coffee and cinnamon whirl £8.44. When the waitress tended our table I asked what the odd 44p was all about as it was an odd amount and she told me it was for the discretionary service charge and she went on to tell me that there was a sign up that this was charged. All four of us failed to see any sign and would have declined such a charge given the choice as the prices are so expensive anyway it would be ridiculous to add on a service charge. The normal method I have seen is when paying an option is given to add a service charge but this did not happen. I have no idea how much the service charge is but we were not offered a refund even after one of us protested that this was very unfair. We did not press the issue but I did note that when we left and I gave my customary goodbye this fell on deaf ears. I should also add that my cinnamon whirl was heated and yet I prefer tham cold but was not given an option so this too was very bad"

"We visited the restaurant for the first time for my partner's birthday meal, and we absolutely loved it. Our son, who is usually quite fussy, really enjoyed his burger and was the first to finish! My steak was cooked to perfection, and the meat juices were simply amazing. If only Miller & Carter served a few slices of crusty bread to soak up those delicious juices, I would have been exceptionally happy! I must admit, I didn't quite understand the point of the wedge of salad, and to be honest, I could have done without that. Our waiter was very attentive, though I regret that I can't remember his name."

"Ordered at 4pm (hardly a busy time) and it arrived 2.5 hour later despite us calling them several times to chase them and repeatedly being asured it was on its way and shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes more..an hour and a half later we were til waiting. When it eventually turned up, the driver offered no apology and the food was cold. We gave them a very reasonable discount in light of the poor food and service and politely said good bye. The driver called my wife and threatened her. Simply awful..avoid like the plague!"

"Visited today with a friend, he had been to the other restaurant they have on Allerton Road and enjoyed it. So we were keen to see what the one on Hardman Street was like. Our visits was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We were seated quickly, the server gave us the option of where we sat. We were given menus and a glass bottle of ice cold water was given to us. We soon ordered our drinks, a Diet Coke and beer and went for a version of a mixed grill they do for 2. This contained chicken and pork kebabs, sliced chicken, lamb chop, chips, coldslaw, pitta and a spicy gravy. The table was prepared for this and the food was out in 15-20 minutes. The food was excellent, the kebabs and sliced chicken were well cooked and everything had a unique flavour. We are hungry guys but this tray of food filled us easily. The servers was attentive but not overly fussing. They regularly checked all was okay and the food was nice. When we finished. Our table was cleared and much to my surprise we were brought 2 brownies with cream, on the house. These were really nice and although small, it perfectly capped the meal. We were in there roughly 1 and a half hours, and the whole experience was pleasant. The restaurants decor is traditional and clean. The bill came and for the meal for 2 and the drinks only came to £38. Absolute bargain. Highly recommend, we will be back."

"I made a reservation at a new Mexican restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife and son. I called ahead to let them know we would be running late and the person on the phone was kind and understanding. When we arrived, the waitress was friendly and even made a special effort to accommodate our 7-year-old son. The bartender and other waitresses were also attentive and friendly. Our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious, with generous portions. I ordered the chicken burrito with roasted beans and my wife had the fajitas. Overall, we all had a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. Just a heads up - the smell of the food can linger on your clothes, so it's best to leave your coat in the car."

"Me and my friend went for dinner last Monday,the waiter was so far not interested to do his job,or he might not know how to do it,He just damp my cuttleries on the table when there was a table napkin for this purpose.We both had prawns as a main and garlic bread which was amazing, and cannolo so called siciliano(but only the shape would remind you of that) which was soggy an tasteless,and trust me I know what I'm saying about cannolo being sicilian.Later my husband join us and he ordered spaghetti carbonara which was made with bacon,no black pepper....and again his cuttleries was damped on the table without even being wiped after we had dinner and was some sauces .When we asked for the bill they told me they can't give me a printed bill,just an old fashioned hand written bill on 2024.I gave the 3 stars o ly for the amazing prawns and garlic bread taste,nothing else."

"Having dined previously at Michelin Star restaurants we were very much looking forward to our reservation at the Gavroche . We were a party of three and ordered the menu exceptional vegetarian , the menu exceptional and one meal from the a la carte menu . Both menu exceptionals were disappointing , the only memorable course of both being the cheese soufflé , the cheese board offered a good selection but these are bought in and not made at the Gavroche , it’s also not the best idea to cut slices of different cheese using the same knives ! My wife who had chosen the a la carte menu enjoyed the cheese soufflé starter , the steak tournedos main and sticky toffee pudding dessert which interestingly wasn’t anything like sticky toffee pudding ! Perhaps it would be best to stay away from the menu exceptionals although this should not be the case ! Generally there was a lack of fine detail to the dining experience , a lack of enthusiasm from the staff other than the sommelier who was well worthy of a 2 Michelin star restaurant . Sadly we felt the whole experience was underwhelming and disappointing , perhaps tainted as a result of its upcoming closure ."

"I was at Little Georgia Islington today, at table 8. The experience was fantastic: from the moment we walked in, they welcomed us warmly, even though the restaurant was full and there were no bookings. The food is delicious: everything is prepared in the restaurant including the bread. The seasoning is excellent, it makes you leave London straight for Georgia. Authentic food, extremely friendly staff, restaurant decorated with posters of classic Georgian films. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to savour authentic Georgian cuisine. The wine list is vast, but I opted for a Georgian beer to get to know it. It was my first time here and it certainly won't be my last. The prices are fair for the quality, service and atmosphere."

"We went to this restaurant for a birthday lunch and decided to order from the happy hour lunch menu. For starters, we had the pate with salad, which was very tasty. The salad dressing was delicious and everything tasted freshly made. For the main course, we chose the chorizo chicken pasta, which had plenty of chicken chunks mixed in with the pasta. The sauce was creamy and had a nice kick of spice. All of the dishes were freshly made and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back to try the two steaks for £35 deal, as the couple at the table next to us had it and it looked amazing."
