"had an absolutely beautiful meal here tonight. the restaurant is beautiful, the service of the staff was amazing. the food was first great. However, the owner manager let down the whole evening by asking us to go because one of our party was apparently “ drunk ”. this was after we bottle of moët champagner to buy happy to take our money, then because of the table next to us, the clearly drunk house wine complains after we have ordered each time we have another bottle. we were not drunk, we ate well, we had a nice evening, but it would seem that the restaurant would like to serve them champagner, then they take the opinion of the table next to us. Many thanks for a wonderful meal and compliments to the chef and thank them for their attentive waiting staff. pity about the owner is sad that he only thought it necessary to say something after we had spent our money"

"Good food, terrible coffee that's about it.This is a nice place with good value food. I'd recommend it so long as you don't have the coffee which is foul, and so strong it is undrinkable. I didn't leave a tip since when I said something the waiter told me to ask for a weaker one next time I was in, as if that makes any sense: I'd like a weaker coffee than the one I had last time I was in hmm. Anyway, it stayed on the bill, and in the cup."

"After reading reviews and staying nearby, we decided to make a reservation at Ravello and we were glad we did. The entire experience, from beginning to end, was fantastic. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and all the staff were very friendly. The service was excellent, not rushed at all, and the food and wine selection were impeccable. It's a pity we don't live closer, as this would definitely become a regular spot for us to visit. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others."
"we went here a few days ago, our waiter giuseppe was excellent with us and other customers round, he made the experience unforgettable for all! political, funny and attentive to our needs. eating was amazing, fresh, delicate and full of taste! we sat outside and it was warm, not too hot, no bugs, pleasant, not even noticed street noise! everything was perfect and it was busy inc a huge hen do inside. all in all, I would have to give this restaurant a 10/10 and will definitely return. we spent around £350 for 7 people, meals, puddings and a whole lot of drinks/cocktails/coffees, so I would say good value! thank you."

"3 michelin star lunch at @alainducasseatthedorchester London Thoughts Amuse Bouche The crackers and bread left a lot to be desired but the lobster and apple foam soup looking thing were tangy, refreshing and delicious. STARTERS The pumpkin tart was deconstructed on the plate. Personally I found there was too much pastry for the toppings available. The three way wild mushrooms was definitely the favourite out of the two. There is something about the way a fantastic chef can make mushrooms turn awesome. In terms of experience we were a bit shocked how many times we had been up sold something by this early point. It’s not something we have been accustomed to before unless other establishments are just more suave about it. MAINS The salmon and turnip was incredible as was the duck and celeriac. We were expecting the usual story telling to come in by now that highlighted something special about the food but it didn’t come. DESSERT Apple tarte tartin now I’m a huge apple dessert fan. Like HUGE. So this was suppose to be an easy win. Unfortunately, I found it uninspiring. Give me a @humblecrumblelondon any day of the week. The chestnut Mont Blanc was a lot nicer but once again not great. The freebies we got at the end of the chocolates and little tarts and profiteroles were all exceptional. It was great to know they had a chocolate shop as they were really good. Especially the coconut one. THE EXPERIENCE To me a Michelin star experience is so much more then exceptionally cooked food. It is the story, the art of it. It’s spending hours in a beautiful place sampling a beautiful food story. The venue was stunning, the atmosphere was a bit too pretentious for my liking and between the upsells and lack of narrative. The money couldn’t be justified on this. Delicious food, yes. But, the experience is usually so much more."

"My wife and I have visited all of the Character Inns on the island and in each the staff have been very friendly. The Caulkheads is no exception, though this is our least favourite of the group. Despite being the nearest geographically to where we live on the island. It is perhaps because we have visited at quieter times, in winter, when the pub was still rather cold, that it has seemed less inspiring. Though admittedly, we have been disappointed by the food here too, which arrived slowly and less warm than I would have liked. perhaps again, due to being during colder weather, more difficult to keep hot. We haven't given up on The Caulkheads, we will try another visit sometime, perhaps in the Summer months."

"From the offset trying to make the booking for 16 people online was a bit of a nightmare. Felt as though Luca was not listening to my request which was initially for 20 people and kept going on about deposits which I understand and the link for paying it which by the time it arrived I’d already booked online and paid the deposit as it was less stressful. My calzone was burnt on top which an attempt was made to conceal this by covering it in tomato sauce. We paid a whopping £43 service charge and to be honest the level of service we received did not reflect this. Then I was told we had the table until 8.30pm however just after 8pm we were told there is another booking after us so we were given the bill and practically thrown out onto the street via the fire exit at 8.15pm, one of my friends had literally just finished eating. It felt very rushed. Prior to this I enjoyed coming to this restaurant but I think I’ll be giving it a miss for a while."

"love, love, love this place for so many reasons! friendly and helpful staff. clean and tidy and just love the quirky atmosphere. we had the huge crumb with cheese, which is simply delicious, its what we have set up! beautiful, freshly cooked...crease and tasty cheese, right on the february afternoon. but this place is so much more than a fabulous place to eat. the load to which it is attached is also only an amazing place. If they are looking for an unusual gift, it is quite possible that they find something favorable and unique here."

"Lovely food and great service. The staff were very attentive and food and drinks arrived quickly. We were in at 6.30 on Saturday evening and it was loud, which was the only draw back. By the time dessert arrived it was more like the volume we would have liked throughout. Overall an experience worth repeating. "We started with scallops and black pudding with garlic cheese bread. It was very well presented. For the net we had fish and chips and steak sandwich. The fish was with a beer batter and the chips were freshly made. The Steak sandwich was once again excellent with fresh chips. I didn't see any signs that the food was prepared or cooked in a bag. It looked and tasted freshly prepared. The waiter wanted to make our food experience good and he succeeded. The cook came and had a word with us and I said he needed to annoy the owners to better market the place. It was only a few weeks open, we cancelled a table in the Clarence to try it out and we were not disappointed. If you read this, you might think I have a connection to the restaurant, but I don't. I never liked the bar so much, but Bury had only two ways to eat (automatic) for the city center. Now it has three. Go. On the bottom we were the only diners on a Friday night at 7 p.m. You need advertising for the food was great. A bottom, they only take food orders until 9:00, which is a bit early for some diners. I hope they can meet a balance between a thriving bar / late evening and a culinary experience."

"We dined at this restaurant on a very busy Tuesday evening and had an exceptionally positive experience. I hadn't noticed this place before, but the views of the winter gardens added to the enjoyment of our visit. The food was outstanding. The service was efficient, proactive, and friendly. Our group consisted of over 20 people, and all starters and main courses were served promptly, with everything prepared to a really high standard. The staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We will definitely come back again. Regarding dietary restrictions, there were vegetarian and vegan options available on all menus, and the communication about one of our guest's dietary needs was excellent."
"The waitress who took our order was great. The one who came to take our plates away didn't say anything, smile or make eye contact. I mentioned it to my husband and I think the original waitress overheard as she disappeared and shortly after, the second one came back with a smile and offered the dessert menu. We were the only customers in the restaurant. We couldn't believe it when the staff started to do a deep clean of the furniture, dragging chairs out etc. Surely this should be done when there are no customers? The food was excellent though."

"Tuesday night, completely dead empty. Wondered why, apparently they are only busy on weekends. Fine. Service was quite mediocre, server seemed super bored, lacking knowledge and enthusiasm. Food was ok but lacking a lot of flavours. Cheese bread doughs were nice and crunchy but very plain a touch of Parmesan or cheddar would make a difference. Mocotó broth was rich, good texture and quite filling, but lacking seasoning. Chicken dumplings, coxinha, were the nicest, crunchy, tasty and original. Spicy chicken thighs were crunchy and close to what it should be, but again, lacking seasoning. Lastly our steak, the Uruguayan rib eye was of poor quality and not worth the price. Overall interesting but they need to try harder. Most dishes were lacking spices and seasoning. 12.5% service charge in London is common, but at premium places and with far superior quality and service. Location doesn't help but most people wouldn't mind the 10min walk from Liverpool st for quality food and service."

"Every year we go on holiday to the Peak District and our first meal out is always at The Shalimar. Everything about this restaurant is amazing, they have a real passion for the food they serve, always tasy dishes and generous portions. They are professional, friendly and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is cosy. We can't wait for our holiday next year so that we can come back! Food: 5"

"First time I actually wonder into Luton while waiting for someone to land on the local airport. Found this place on Trip Advisor and tried it for breakfast and was not dissapointed! Realy good food, with a twist and quite varied, they seem to have something for everyone in a medium to small menu. The expresso coffee was good as well and the staff top notch. Nice music, to cheer you up in the morning as well."

"I had high hopes as I am a pizza lover, how wrong could I have been. Greeted by a rude member of staff, so not the best start. The cafe was busy, very busy, the tables are very crammed in together and so much so the back of my chair was being hit by every person and memeber of staff walking past....... While trying to order the member of staff seemed more concerned in talking to people walking through the door and other members of staff, a bit annoyed, we still ordered had we had high hopes of some of the best pizza in Devon..... How wrong we were. My pizza was how to put it..... pretty awful, I've had better supermarket own microwave pizza's...... the toppings didn't reach the edge which was VERY dry so that was left. I paid and left, why I paid I have no idea. Rude staff and below par pizza, just don't bother, you will be better off going to Pizza Hut."

"What a gem. On a father and daughter day I was taken for a lunchtime treat Italian restaurant. Tucked away down an unassuming dead-end side street off the market square. Wasn't obvious a restaurant was there, I said are you sure we are going the right way? Led by my daughter we entered il Girasole. A lovely Italian restaurant. Pleasantly greeted we were shown to our prebooked table. We had our starters breads dipping oils and olives. Three different dipping breads, sesamee twist, tomato bread focaccia. Which later, during our main course, we could see the breads being freshly made and baked. Our main, recommend by my daughter whom had been here a few times before, was breaded king prawn linguine with a creamy mushroom and cherry tomato sauce finished with a sprinkle of red chilli. So nice. There was banter with the owner I think, over the grating of this huge block of parmesan cheese. Interior decor is tired if not authentic, adding to the ambience. I am taken by this restaurant and will definitely be returning very soon. Highly recommend. Afterwards, ice cream in hand, we watched a few bands, musicians and artist perform on the market square. A perfect day. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
