"3 michelin star lunch at @alainducasseatthedorchester London Thoughts Amuse Bouche The crackers and bread left a lot to be desired but the lobster and apple foam soup looking thing were tangy, refreshing and delicious. STARTERS The pumpkin tart was deconstructed on the plate. Personally I found there was too much pastry for the toppings available. The three way wild mushrooms was definitely the favourite out of the two. There is something about the way a fantastic chef can make mushrooms turn awesome. In terms of experience we were a bit shocked how many times we had been up sold something by this early point. It’s not something we have been accustomed to before unless other establishments are just more suave about it. MAINS The salmon and turnip was incredible as was the duck and celeriac. We were expecting the usual story telling to come in by now that highlighted something special about the food but it didn’t come. DESSERT Apple tarte tartin now I’m a huge apple dessert fan. Like HUGE. So this was suppose to be an easy win. Unfortunately, I found it uninspiring. Give me a @humblecrumblelondon any day of the week. The chestnut Mont Blanc was a lot nicer but once again not great. The freebies we got at the end of the chocolates and little tarts and profiteroles were all exceptional. It was great to know they had a chocolate shop as they were really good. Especially the coconut one. THE EXPERIENCE To me a Michelin star experience is so much more then exceptionally cooked food. It is the story, the art of it. It’s spending hours in a beautiful place sampling a beautiful food story. The venue was stunning, the atmosphere was a bit too pretentious for my liking and between the upsells and lack of narrative. The money couldn’t be justified on this. Delicious food, yes. But, the experience is usually so much more."

Amazing food. Wide range. The decor is so lovely. Feels like you are in China. The customer service is one of the best. Very attentive and understanding. Very good quality food.

Tea time at china tang, the experience was ok but the chocolate dim sum tasted really bad. It feels like the outside of the dimsum was raw dough. The sweet part were also not very tasty.

The service in the restaurant from Mr Cheng was the best service I've ever had. Hygienic and followed every rule in the service handbook, ie never reach over the patron, never reach over the shoulder of the customer from behind. Simply excellent. View menu

Dumplings are great, specially the steak option, sesame toast was a disappointment. Ginger lobster was terrible and waste of £150. Had to throw the entire dish away. Would only visit this place for the dumplings and a drink. Halal options available.

Food was fresh and very delicious, enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Portions were decent and staff were very attentive and friendly. Drink weren't amazing apart from one cocktail I had which yummy but had a HUGE block of ice in it which meant I paid £18 for a quarter of a drink as the large ice block took up the rest of the glass as you can see in the video. Other than that the restaurant, food and staff were amazing.

Very good French restaurant. Reservation far in advance is a must. The service is very attentive and polite. The interion is stylish and restrained, which is common in expensive restaurants nowerdays. The food: I loved asparagus and watercress dish! I generally not a fan of vegetarian dishes but this one was just out of this world. I also loved the dessert. Some other dishes were good, but not that original, at least not to my taste. And, did I mention that this place is not cheap at all? View menu

Visited for Valentine’s Day, I have been to his restaurant in Paris also I had nothing but high expectations. The service was unorganised, they forgot to bring cutlery and necessary glassware. The food was good, nothing special it was quite bland. It was very disappointing to say the least. I made a formal complaint and the manager got in touch and refunded me service charge, I would have preferred to have been invited back for a dinner that I possibly may have enjoyed more than this dinner. Absolutely stunning setting. Will only visit Alan’s in Paris from now on.

Although the cheapest of all my three-star visits so far, there was an inspiring kitchen that missed the high moments. And even though I had already decided à la Carte for the signature dishes COOKPOT of seasonal vegetables and fruit, HALIBUT, oyster and seaweed as well as the BABA like in Monte Carlo. Only the Baba au Rhum (for this with a lot, sometimes too much rum) could keep the level. In total, I would think here more than 2 stars than 3 stars are appropriate. However, the kitchen was subordinated by the service, which did not correspond to the offered 3 star house with French pride: Forgotten wines to the main courses, including excuses of misunderstandings (because we were never aske...
