"Seriously, don't order from this place unless you want your money, time and consume terrible food. It's just one of the worst fish and chips and kebabs I've ever eaten. The fish and chips were boiled and the amount of oil and fat on it was laid by this world. The Kebab Special was atrocious!. I never had a kebab covered with cheese sauce and had such a high quality and tasteless meat that was on the edge of the finish. the chili sauce tasted strange. More than 75 percent of the entire meal went into the container"

"I used to frequent this restaurant because their delivery service was terrible, but it has improved significantly now. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the 2-piece fish dinner which is incredibly worth it. The staff are fantastic and I have been a loyal customer since I was young. "Last nights pizza was the last straw for this place. Always loved papa johns pizza ever since we had our first at the Holburn street store. The great northern road franchise is not a patch on its sister store. Ordered an XXL pizza, jalapeño bites, a Pepsi and 5 dips (SOUR CREAM)! Pizza was cold, jalapeño bites were freezing and the dips that came were the horrible garlic ones. The fact they are charging 50p a dip these days means it's a major kick in the face when you deliver the wrong ones. On top of that, I called to mention the dips (before realising my pizza was cold) and asked for my sour cream ones to be sent instead! I was told he would ask the driver and then hung up before I could confirm he knew what address to go to.....low and behold no dips turned up!! I've had many other problems with this place so I won't be back! You've lost a loyal customer Papa J's....you need to sort out these franchises that are ruining your name. A picture on the box saying you guarantee quality does nothing when your pizzas are always cold and taste like ****!"

"I watched one staff member hand-tossing dough, then answer the phone and return to hand-tossing dough without washing his hands. Meanwhile, another employee was putting dough onto a pizza dish and coughed without covering his mouth. Another employee entered the store. As he walked past, there was a very strong stretch of body odor. He dunked his hands in what appeared to be be a bowl of water, wiped his hands dry on his T-shirt and went to work rolling out and hand-tossing dough. No one was wearing masks, gloves, or hair nets. This particular facility has a #2 health rating. I'd hate to see a #3. And the pizza? Meh."

"Avoid this takeout as they are extremely unprofessional and blatant liars. This has happened twice to us and we have been left extremely disappointed with their service. Our pizza was not delivered even after hours and while we phoned the takeout to inquire about the status they confirmed the delivery was on the way. They lied to us about the delivery on separate phone calls we made to them and their lies were only caught when I insisted to speak to their manager about my refund. The store manager then confirmed that due to some technical issue our order was never placed on their system. When I asked about the their lies, the manager was only able to offer apology for they were extremely busy on the evening. This is not acceptable. If a store is busy they should advise the customers of the wait times, at least the customer can choose to go ahead with the order or not. Also being lied to feels like being cheated. I have requested my refund and manager confirmed it was processed but I still haven't received any money in my account. Papa Johns should really choose better franchise owners."

"Simply do not bother ordering from this PH branch. First incident: delivery was delayed by 30+ minutes. Rude staff on the phone when enquiring. 3 hours after our order arrived, a second copy of the exact same order was delivered to our house, which we rejected. Clearly nobody is running that branch with any common sense or management skill. We received a £10 gift voucher for our complaint which we used today. This brings us to incident 2: food was collected in good time but all dough on the pizzas and the sides was hardly cooked at all. Inedible. Absolute shambles of a food restaurant . Save yourselves the time, money and disappointment order from literally anywhere else. F joke."
