Unlike other pubs in the area that are owned by larger companies and lack character, The Gardeners stands out for its freshly prepared menu that rivals local restaurants in taste and variety. "Location was amazing with the most beautiful views. The food was fine, hit and miss for our large table and the kids food wasn't great. The service was a bit challenging as well, they seemed a bit annoyed with our large table and honestly we seemed like a it of an inconvenience. We were a large table so maybe that was why Shame as the location and setting is spectacular Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5"

"I like good food, but I'm not particularly demanding either. This food is by far the worst I've ever tasted in Birmingham since the last 10 years or so. I ordered 2 kebabs (pita chicken) and a cheese burger. I was hungry yet I couldn't eat any of them. The burger meated tastes like polystyrene or something. Kebab meat was greasy beyond imagination. There are many kinds of quality in kebab meat, this one is clearly the bottom one. It was also full of these cheap chili and mayo sauce. The overall impression is that every single ingredient of this food is the cheapest existing on the market. Don't expect to enjoy this food, except if you are accustomed to extremely low standards."

"Where do I start We stayed over in our campervan and we were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived by Wendy and the team Absolutely nothing was too much trouble We had food twice that was freshly prepared and absolutely beautiful we were lucky enough to have been there while there was live entertainment baldy Holly fantastic and a great night was enjoyed by all Wendy has only just had this place for a month and the locals have nothing but praise and we can see why I read a couple of reviews complaining about hand written menus etc get a grip your not eating the **** menu opening a new business takes time All I can say is that this is a hidden gem of a pub and we will definitely be back thanks for making our stay so enjoyable and we will see you very soon Lisa and Jimmy"

"Ideal for a quick family dinner when having a little get together. The food we ordered was very nice, the cheese had a lovely flavour compared to other pizza chains like dominoes etc. It wasn't overly greasy. The chicken wings were a hit enjoyed by all. We had a two different varieties of pizza, one vegetarian one meat both delicious. The stuff crust in particular was yummy, the dough was really soft. We used one of the offers. Fed 4 of is happily for £30 we had loads left. We opted for delivery it was quick, food arrived hot. Delivery man was very nice"

"we went to my birthday lunch, my sisters, and I went all to order their amazing plate of tweeper rings, bbq wing, grilled mushrooms with cheese, garlic brot. ok it's a lot! then the steaks with beautiful kartoffels with garlic layers with cheese upstairs I had thought this mac and cheese) and a mushroom sauce! the drinks were ok would not say amazing except the skyberry soda was nice would not go for the earthy or mango. in serious had no room for dessert, that was disappointing as it all saw amazing! then the service was good/very clean and spacious. was my first time that it would be happy to go back with my girls."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The place was extremely clean and the food was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I was happy to see that they serve Coke Zero in cans, or you can also have unlimited refills from the soda fountain. The pakoras were not left in a bain marie, so they were not soggy like at some buffet places. I had low expectations going in, but I left very impressed. I will definitely be returning. I only tried the Indian food and a small slice of pizza, as nothing from the Chinese selection caught my eye. They also had pasta dishes and Thai curry, so there is something for everyone."

"Disgusting location. Took payment 3 times for a pizza I didn 't even get. Clearly website technical issues. I called up to get help. He couldn 't even understand anything I was saying. I explained multiple times I 've been charged 3 times and the pizza hasn 't even gone through. He kept saying £3 for a pizza? So I asked if I could please speak to someone else. I got a manager who got very annoyed with me, shouted what do you want me to do about it ? Disgraceful. He acted like he was the aggrieved in this situation. I called a few days after and got Darren who is always polite and can understand me. He said he can 't help and to get a refund from my bank. I called my bank and they said they can 't do anything until 15 works days have passed. I don 't believe that Papa John 's couldn 't have helped me get a refund. If I was rude and impolite I could understand the reluctance to help me but I was understanding and polite. I 'm now annoyed as I 've been charged near £60 for a pizza I didn 't receive and have to wait weeks to even get my money back. Most can 't go without that amount of money in the current climate. And I find it awful they just don 't care about their customers or circumstances. I 've been a customer for years, I don 't feel valued and won 't order again."

"Been a client for 3+years now and the quality of the food, the service and overall experience is getting worse and worse with every order. Ordered through the app for collection and paid, got confirmation email that is being processed and there was no issues. 15 mins later went to collect the order no one said anything to us so we left. The moment we got home i got a very rude phone call why i have collected without paying and i should go back and pay. First the order won’t go through them if it haven’t been paid, second even if it did why no one said anything on collection and third the order was messed up. Had the bank statement ready as they said they will have to call again and investigate?? Never again, also the pizzas have been so greasy lately, garlic bread burnt, cold sides.. The quality is not worth the prices."

"I called the St Albans store to ask for help with ordering. I have the student free personal pizza deal on my app and when I’m trying to order it says coupon is no longer valid. It says it’s valid until the 31st October. I called up the store to ask for help and the man kept on interrupting me. He said he can’t do anything to help and it’s all online and to contact the customer service. I said the customer service line is closed and he told me to try again tomorrow. I asked to speak to a manager and he informed me that he was the manager. I tried to explain the issue again and ask for help and the man continued to cut me off, I asked him to let me continue speaking multiple times and he refused, then hung up the phone call on me. I am horrified at the ‘customer service’ from this man who is supposed to be a manager."

"Not what you'd expect for £28 for 2 pizzas on a deal! Called to complain, first guy I spoke to was great. He said he'd replace the food now or next time. I said I'd do it next time as Papa John's was my go to, maybe it was just a 1 off. Next time I called to claim said pizzas I was told I wasn't aloud to claim now and it was a different manager. She wouldn't give me her name but she sounded young and of Indian accent (only way to describe her). Her customer service skills were awful. Ended up taking it further with the complaint.. no reply as of yet. So £28 down as it stands, hopefully il get a reply, who knows. Never again!"

"we were in the opposite and the new inn was our local. Wednesday to Sunday, I thought the new inn could not be much or very special, as it was closed for the first two days of our visit. I was very wrong. at our first visit, the server could not be more helpful, we wanted to sit outside, but they asked us if we would rather sit on comfortable, even though we had a little dog that was more than welcome to sit under our table. the staff could not have been more attentive or friendly. the drinks came very fast, like eating. the new inn has its own pizza oven, you can simply wander and order a takeaway pizza! because we decided to sit, we could see that one of our partys pizza is cooked and prepared with care. the prices are reasonable, eating was generous in portions and all tasted good quality. our second visit meant that we had a separate server that was more than friendly again. none of our party is disappointed about both visits, different meal times and gloom all polished and service with smiles round, what more can they ask? Well done if we ever are in the opposite, we would definitely be very recommended to come back!"

"Sometimes I crave a bold, indulgent treat, and Papa John's Leith Walk fits the bill. I decided to build my own pizza, choosing a mix of meats, red peppers, and green paprika. While these weren't the exact toppings I initially imagined, they matched my cravings at the time. To complete the meal, I added a side of Jalapeño Poppers and chicken bites, bringing the total to just under £15. It felt a bit pricey for what I got, but it was what I wanted, so no complaints. The poppers were a bit soggy and lacked their usual crisp pop, oozing instead. The chicken bites were decent and quite tasty, though also a little soggy. Overall, a satisfying if slightly messy meal."
