"My husband and I had an amazing 3 course meal tonight to celebrate my birthday. Portions were generous and lovely to see different things on a menu. The attention to detail and service was lovely. Although pricier than some eateries we felt the meals were worth the money and highly recommend Kirton Cottage. Definitely will visit again. "I had a pleasant experience when I visited this restaurant a few months ago, but after going back yesterday, I have decided it will be my last time. The service for drinks was incredibly slow and we had to pre-order our food from the festive menu. Unfortunately, one of the pre-ordered items was not available, causing a delay in receiving our food. Additionally, one of the waiters accidentally spilled a whole pint of lemonade on two of the guests without much apology. The floor under our table became soaked and sticky, and despite my request for it to be mopped, we were only provided with kitchen roll to clean it ourselves. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience and found the food quality to be lacking."

"This charming restaurant has beautiful soft green decor and the owners, Achilles and Alessandra, were incredibly welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to ensure a delicious meal, which is rare to find nowadays. I ordered the chorizo and rice bowl, filled with fresh veggies, chorizo, and spicy sauces. My son enjoyed the tasty beef burrito. We also indulged in the amazing lemon and poppy muffins with a surprise lemon filling. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Despite traveling from Horwich, it was definitely worth it."
