"a hidden gem in the heart of the covent garden, directly opposite st martin’s hotel. I can't recommend this place enough. it has a very relaxed but charming feeling, it with a spacious sitting area in the open. I'm so glad we stumbled over this place. The...menu is all with a variety and excellent food quality. I had a delicious burger with cheese, avocado and all the circumcisions. the bark tasted so fresh and juicy. my partner had the chicken taouk and really enjoyed it. I also loved their selection of fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes. in particular I loved her Sicilian style limonade with a twist of honey and mint, it was so refreshing. this place has good quality eating and we will definitely be back. many thanks for a beautiful Thursday evening in the heart of the covent garden."

"We all decided to go to the new American Burger restaurant in Clapham as we'd all heard great reviews The restaurant is decorated in a vert typical American way, their portions are rather big and their milkshakes bigger! I found the staff really friendly and engaging, they all got us to try their extra hot sauce (it was like fire in my mouth! and were all really chatty with us which was lovely I opted for the Ribs and Brisket with a banana and peanut butter milkshake (soooo much food! and although i enjoyed the meal i did feel as if the meat had a bit too much salt for my taste which meant i couldn't finish it as it made me feel a bit sick, though bear in mind salt is a personal...read more"

"The food was decent, but the waiter was quite abrupt and overly persistent when taking our order. He seemed unhappy and, when explaining the appetizer to my friend, spoke to me in a condescending manner. As a 30-year-old woman, I found it inappropriate for him to suggest that he could stop talking because he was explaining it to my friend. Overall, the vibe was off, and I won't be returning."

"Lovey setting with high ceilings, sunshine through the large windows and greenery hanging from the ceilings. Staff friendly and a nice continental spread. Unfortunately the staff don’t seem to communicate and we had at least four different people dealing with us. We ordered hot food and, having seen others who arrived after us getting theres, enquired after ours. Half an hour after ordering we received our eggs Benedict and eggs with avocado but both of us had one solid, overcooked poached egg. I complained and they bought another set but both still over cooked. Very disappointing."

"We visited on Saturday, the night before the marathon. We booked a table. Came in, seen it was busy, so thought this is going to be good. We were seated late which was fine, no problem. We sat next to another couple, (tables were close) we ordered some drinks then our meal. Drinks arrived on our table, weren’t ours, it was the next table. We waited an hour for our starters, tables were coming in and getting served. A table of 6/8 came in and got their starter and mains before us. There was a lot of cross words at the boy in the hair band which I thought he was doing all the work and was very kind if I am honest. Garlic bread came was so dry. They kept going by saying have you eaten? Have you ordered? Have you had mains? Our mains came out an hour later and they didn’t know who it was for. The table next to us actually had to point out it was our food they heard our order. Being a restaurant manager I would like to say… 1. Don’t argue or talk to staff badly, anywhere, but especially not on the floor, I actually think it was maybe husband and wife, it’s not good in front of customers and I know it’s hard and frustrating work, but I don’t even think any of the customers were being rude, the people I heard ask where food was were all being polite. 2. We understand it was busy and every business needs money but don’t take in more people than you should. 3. When you sneeze please do it into your arm and not your hands then don’t wash them, I genuinely couldn’t believe it, hygiene is huge, especially in catering. I’m genuinely shocked I still ate my food after the person touched my plate later on. as they didn’t go anywhere near a sink or a sanitizer. Our mains were lovely. I hope the famous athlete who was in the restaurant at the same time got his food on time and amazing service. But, I do genuinely believe on a normal busy night this restaurant would be fine, just a few tweaks needed. 2 stars lost due to my hygiene comment and how they were openly arguing with one another."

"Just over the road from Marylebone station, on the corner, this is a very small cafe in the traditional English style. The service however is anything but traditional, it is fast and efficient, even to the point of little order tickets. I ordered the breakfast special, at a fiver and fifty including tea or coffee it was the perfect medium breakfast. Bigger eaters will want to add a few extras to get the full English but regardless the prices are very reasonable for this part of London. The food is not fancy but it is good honest fare. You can't beat a good English breakfast on a winter morning and this cafe gives you that, without the hassle of places like Wetherspoons or the blandness of McDonalds. It is not the place for a quiet brunch but there is a comforting bussiness here."

"We booked for a birthday brunch on a Sunday for 6. The place was full and we had to wait 10 mins for the table we had booked at 11. Once seated it was another 15 mins until our order was taken. 15 mins then until our drinks arrived and another 5 until the food showed up. Clearly massively understaffed and delays were not the staff’s fault although when we asked for something some fresh boiling water for the teapot and some more maple syrup we had to remind twice until they arrived. The bill took a full 15 minutes. Why do owners put staff and customers under stress only allow booking where your staff can cope? I was minded to remove the obligatory service charge but did not want to make a scene. As we had booked for brunch, we were expecting the normal things you would find on a brunch menu. There they were on the menu .. so we ordered only to be told: no sausages, no black pudding, no avocado, no French toast and, very strangely, no fried eggs but we could have poached or scrambled eggs! The food was OK except the bacon which was flabby, fatty streaky bacon that was only just cooked and not good quality. Guests at every table had left theirs on the side of the plate. For a restaurant claiming to serve an American style brunch, this was massively underwhelming. In short, we will not return and I strongly recommend that all reading this give this place a miss. There are plenty of much better places in Notting Hill."

"I enjoyed a delightful and tasty pre-theater dinner. The food was delicious, although the portions were a bit on the smaller side—except for the enormous sorbet, which was a fantastic treat. Overall, it was good value with a very pleasant atmosphere and excellent service."

"I went to the Sports Bar Grill as it was my birthday and I chose it specifically for its food aspect and with the added bonus of screens for the football. I ordered a burger and a Knronebourg and my wife had the cod and chips and a vodka and coke. We arrived as the match was just ending but that wasn't a problem, after the football finished they put on rock music and I think it was a tad too loud as trying to have a conversation wit my wife was quite difficult The food was really good and the waiter/waitresses were always in attendance, my wife ordered more cokes which came in tumblers rather than half or quarter sized glasses I booked using the tastecard and the bill was only so I added tip and paid and left. After we left I checked how much we saved using the tastecard and it was but I was a bit taken aback when I saw the prices of the cokes which were each which was a bit steep for a tumbler of coke as a vodka and coke was so for another my wife could have had a shot of vodka in her cokes Overall apart from the rip off soft drinks and the slightly noisy atmosphere it was enjoyable hour or so."

"We were a group of 12 and this was one of the few places that could accommodate us and reserved our table as well. Staff were very polite, professional, well mannered and not pushy in trying to get us to order more than we needed. Food was made quickly, presented well, was hot and tasted delicious too. The lighting is a bit dim, but sufficient for the atmosphere I believe. Staff were also considerate and ensured all sauces, plates, cutlery etc were on the table before the food and they got a few extra plates for us as we had said that we would be sharing some of the dishes. Overall really impressed. Also, the toilet was clean and well maintained. I really loved the table as it looked like it was made from the truck of a tree! Keep up the good work."

"I met a few friends for lunch today whom I hadn't seen in ages. As soon as we walked through the door, we were warmly greeted by the staff. They gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. I ordered the brisket with colby chips and gravy, and it was delicious— the brisket just melted in my mouth, and the chips were fantastic. We ended up sitting there for almost three hours. It was a wonderful experience in a beautiful setting."

"This was my first time back at Luppolo in almost a year and we were extremely disappointed. We requested 2 highchairs on our booking and again when we arrived. We were only ever given 1. We waited 10 minutes to be given menus. After placing our order 2 people came over to check elements of it. Our drinks order was wrong and then our food order was wrong. When the corrected item was brought out the waitress said plain pasta and we said no, we ordered pasta and meatballs and another waiter said yeah. Yeah the meatballs are there . There were no meatballs but we were eating with two toddlers who were very hungry so we didn 't want to wait for the order to be remade a 2nd time. The toilets were not very clean and none of the toilets had toilet paper in. This was 5pm on a Saturday so not yet busy in the restaurant"
