"Made plans to come here for lunch after a morning visit to Camera Obscura which is just a little way up the mile. Been here before years ago loved it…love it still! Great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food all hot, fresh and tasty. Large portions too! I can definitely recommend the haggis bites they’re delicious. Shout out to our sever Sophie who was lovely; welcoming, friendly efficient. Love this place will return."

"from beginning to end, this can only be described as one of my worst restaurants experiences. we were a little early on our table so we were invited to stand at the bar to wait for our table. we waited and waited and waited for twenty minutes to serve and there was only one person in front of us. We were totally ignored while the two people behind the bar took care of the table orders. eating ordered and when it came, it was wrong so that the food of my wife had to go back. another order was also wrong and they promised to bring the fritten asap. they came when we all finished our eating. the food of my wife came back right, but the plate was full of fat and pommes was microwave. eating all looked completely inconspicuous. the manager took the cost for the meal of my wife from the bill and the riders who never arrived but nothing for our experience or offered more drinks. unnecessary to say that we never go back. it felt as if they really did not deal with the volume of people."

"Had lunch here yesterday. What a gem. Please book, always busy by the looks of it we were in Chester for the day. Staff where very friendly the interior is quirky and lovely. Had the vegetarian breakfast was delicious, was also great that tea is served in a pot with china cups and you get more than one cup out of the pot. Had a delicious dessert too and an espresso Martini with a shot of hazelnut. Delicious the best I have had. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chester to eat here was lovely. Will definitely be returning again."

"I used to eat here a lot but the food has dropped in standard the double bacon cheese burger had salad which consisted of only lettuce and very little of that the mayonnaise looked like it had been scraped on with a butter knife to give you the least amount possible the burgers were pretty low quality and the bacon was overcooked it look nothing like the picture on the menu. My wife had the pasta which although she ate it all made her feel queasy for the rest of the night so Unless things improve drastically I won’t be eating there ever again it’s a shame because it used to be such a great place and the staff are really nice"

"absolutely horrific from beginning to end. we had our 2 year old son with us, which means that meal times in the regular are made quite fast as we get the food at once and he eats quickly. not this time! we were there about 2 hours because of the shocking service. it wasn't busy and it seemed to be more employees than customers, so there was simply no excuse. highlights included: the woman asked for a j20, was brought quite another drink. small child received a color leaf and then said there were no crayons to use. he asked that all foods (beginners and main things) be brought out at the same time, we got the adult starter after about 20mins. no sign of the rest of the food. the adult starter was then deleted, and 20mins later the rest of the food arrived, including the child starter?! margherita pizza had practically no cheese on it and was flat cold, took a bite and sent him back what I have never done before! the replacement had a little more beeping, but still quite naked. had to remind the waiter several times to get cute. to dessert we ordered a coffee and an ice cream. nothing came up for over 20 minutes, we chased it up. then they brought the ice and ice. No sign of coffee at the place where we 'd finish the other desserts. I went in and canceled so we could go. the only plus point was when I asked to pay so that we could go, the waiter tried to serve the cashier and "pressed the wrong taste '. he went to another, until with a colleague, after 5mins of the head scratches, he then gave me a bill for. £9.70! Not bad for a three cursor meal for three of us with drinks. I paid and went, thought they had something for the terrible service, but about the reflexion and no one said everything I think they just messed up the bill. probably the worst culinary experience I've ever had, pathetic simply because we had a nice day and the sun seemed."

"Went on the off chance of getting a table around 5:45pm on a Saturday. We did and the waiter was very helpful. I had a groupon offer showing but he said that it takes around 6 hours to get the offer come through. My partner has the Taste app/card which gives 2-4-1 so we was allowed to use that. We had three courses each. Two soft drinks for just over £32! We had lovely service. Hot food. Quick service and lovely atmosphere with clean establishment. Well done Gloucester! Thank you so much. "We took our granddaughter to the movies over the weekend and decided to treat ourselves to dinner as well. This restaurant is conveniently located just 100 meters from the cinema with plenty of parking available in the evening at The Crumbles. We hadn't dined here in a few years, but decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation for a table after the movie and were warmly greeted upon our return. Despite being busy, we were seated promptly and presented with the menu. Our drinks took a little while to arrive, but we were not forgotten, as the staff was attentive and friendly. Our granddaughter enjoyed her child's meal, especially the free squishy toy that came with it. Our burgers were delicious and well-prepared, served with fresh fries and high-quality burger sauce on brioche rolls. The restaurant was clean and well-furnished, with friendly staff who checked on us multiple times during our meal. The toilets were also very clean and accessible. With ample parking and easy access for disabled patrons, this restaurant is a great choice for those visiting the cinema, harbour, or nearby shops. We would definitely dine here again."

"had a nice late lunch, early dinner at frankie benny in gunwharf quays. harrison took care of us. very friendly and gave us additional time if I could not decide what to order. the best part was that he didn't come by and looked after us when we had full the month. that always brings me. Our server was Ellen and she just couldn't do enough for us and very helpful with the girls choice of menu, nothing was a bother for her with 3 very excited girls. "Sadly Frankie Bennys is no longer a go to place for us. 10 years ago, the decor was much nicer as it tried to ape the old school Italian American restaurants of the 1950 's, but today 's decor is bland and uninteresting. The wait for food was well over an hour, not remotely enough kitchen staff to cope, glad we didn 't have the starters as that would have dragged the night on even further. The menu? A shadow of what it used to be, and £17.90 for a double burger and fries is Steak prices. £3.90 for a large Coke is beyond ridiculous, cheaper to drink alcohol. The food was simply OK, there isn 't the choice their used to be, no more Little Italy Mussels, the pizza whilst freshly made wasn 't exactly filling, not very large and thin. I wouldn 't mind so much, but in the past it was quite expensive to eat there but then they had a much broader menu, today, not nearly as much and yet for four of us and a small child, our bill exceeded £100, and that was no starters and no desserts. The problem for me is I don 't see Frankie Bennys justified in charging that much anymore, it all feels very corporate chain, certainly not the same as a small independent restaurant that could charge that much, it feels like a slightly posher experience than Burger King or McDonalds. End of the road for us, our last time."

"I called twice after booking through the open table and every time they said I had no booking. it was for my daughter's birthday and even on the day when we told the manager we had not booked and then we said we had a book for 5 o'clock. my notification from my app proved it was for lunch. they have taken care of us, but really bad attitude. the waiter was great and eating was good."
