"We don't use Ken's quite as often as we did when we first moved here : so were looking forward to a treat. We weren't disappointed ; hubby was only going to eat half as he had a late lunch he ate the lot in one go! Prawn toast spring roll starters, Beef curry, Szechaun beef, Singapore chow mein, salt pepper chips and always some prawn crackers added to our orders. Delicious as always. Preorder if you want a certain time Ken's very popular! Lovely staff too"

"We visited and ordered 1x Singapore fried rice and 1x Pork Chow Mein. The premises seemed clean. Had some seats for waiting customers inside. Street parking was available directly outside the row of shops. Shop seemed quite popular. Food was tasty, but a little bit greasy for my liking."

"Recently moved to Harborough and were looking for a chinese that delivered. We were not disappointed, the food was amazing. Special Hors D’Oeuvres were nice and crisp, the mains were hot and a complimentary portion of prawn crackers to top it all off. Really happy and will be making this our go to. Delicious Just ordered a second meal a month later and it was just as good as the first. We decided on “starter extravaganza” mixed hot d’oeuvres, chi& salt chicken wings and large dumplings asked for curry sauce instead of sweet and sour) from the Chef’s specialties. Everything was amazing. Hot, crisp and very tasty."

"Gone downhill, sadly. This is our third visit, the previous takeaways we’ve bought exceeded our expectations and were worth the extra distance from our home town. Yes, the crudely constructed covid floor to ceiling barriers together with airlock hatches for making payments and receiving food seem a bit disrespectful of their customers when the pandemic is officially over. Also if you are going to be paranoid in 2023 about covid, why do you accept cash only and are happy to touch it and count it? But that is their personal preference and if they provide a good service I will happily pass my (possibly infected) money through the hatch. Sadly the standard on this visit was a 2 star. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, the previous visits would be 5 star rated. The staff I saw weren’t the same this time so perhaps some key personnel were on holiday or the business has been sold on? If I see the lady from before behind the counter again I’ll give it another try, but on the basis of the last visit I couldn’t recommend it."

"First impressions are good. A cosy, well fitted out restaurant. However, every business needs to train its staff to be pleasant and accommodating to its paying customers just to survive, let alone prosper. I thought the food was OK but the staff didn't have a clue.Food Hygiene Rating was only 2 in May 2019 and has been this low for sometime. No effort apparently has been made to improve hygiene standards. This in itself is a good reason to avoid the place. Completely unacceptable."

"We placed a delivery and was told 1 hour and a half delivery. It had been 1 hour 45 minutes so we phoned and asked where it was and was told it was out for delivery. We live a 15 min drive max and it then reached over 2 hours and phoned once again to be told they couldn’t get hold of the driver but he was out for delivery. We were told we would get a phone call back but never did so we then had to phone again as clearly it was a lie and there was no delivery out. The woman we spoke to was incredibly rude and just spoke over us saying ‘do you want to cancel then?’ Over and over. There is no way they would happily cancel such a big order. So they had totally forgotten about an order that was over £60 and could not care less that they had just left us waiting for over 2 hours for food. We weren’t even offered a discount and then was left hungry and having to go elsewhere. We have ordered from them before and the wait time has always been awful but we have never experienced such disgusting customer service. I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to be left hungry and spoken to with no respect."

"We were in the mood for Chinese food for dinner tonight. Our usual restaurant was closed, so our only option was Yeungs. We called at 8:13pm and were told it would be a 20-minute wait. They did not offer delivery, even though their website states that delivery is available. We arrived at 8:40pm, but our meal was not ready and we had to wait an additional 10 minutes. When we finally got home and opened the barbecue sauce and ribs, which we were looking forward to, we were disappointed to find that they were extremely salty and inedible. We called right away and were told to bring it back for a replacement, as they do not offer refunds. The second meal we received was just as salty, so we insisted on a refund. We will not be ordering from here again, as both the service and the food were very poor."

"We have randomly discovered this place and has been our go-to Chinese food place ever since. The food is absolutely delicious, the meat is always great quality and the service is impeccable. We haven’t ordered in a couple of months and still knew us by name when we called again. They also cook the food quite fast so there aren’t long waiting times either. If you like Chinese cuisine and have been looking for a new place, do give Eastern Choice a go, you won’t be disappointed."

"The most fantastic thing about The New Kee Chinese Takeaway is that they are open for lunchtime business! They are the only Chinese or Indian takeaway in our area open during the day. We usually place a large order in advance and they always have it ready for us on time, with some extra treats thrown in. They don't offer delivery, but we don't mind picking up as we are close by. The menu is traditional and reasonably priced, with some dishes being the best in town. Give it a try for lunch or dinner, and help support this great local spot! We are extremely satisfied customers and will continue to frequent The New Kee."
