"We visited yesterday, at the end of a day 's work. I bought a bottle of wine from Majestic, a block or so up the road, while my wife ordered food. I had fish pakora, freshly prepared, followed by Lamb and rice. My wife has a veggie main course (potato and something! followed by barfi. We were there early (just as they opened at 6 so the place wasn 't busy to begin with, but quite a few people ordered carry out curry boxes, and by the time we left quite a few seats were full. They prepare 'batches ' of most of the main courses (e.g Chicken, beef, lamb, the veg of the day which is good because it means less waiting time. We 're regulars, and we 've got to know quite a few of the ladies who run the show. So we had a chat where we all complained about the redevelopment plans which will mean demolition and a rebuild, and the restaurant closing in its current location some time next year I think. No one 's quite sure if that means closure for a while or a move to a nearby location. We also heard about PJ taking part in the foodie festival this weekend at EICC. This is good but cheap food. It 's also worth supporting because behind it is Sikh Sanjog, a charity that supports women, whether that 's integration, education or careers."
