"Generally, the food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty—always hot and full of aroma. I typically dine here once a month and usually get takeout, but it has always been a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there used to be a whole section offering the mains with jackfruit or vegan meat alternatives, but now there are no other options for vegans apart from the generic vegetable curry, which not many of us enjoy. However, the paneer was excellent for vegetarians. I hope they bring back the previous options as I used to enjoy dining here before they removed them."

"Got some chips with curry sauce just now on my way home from work. The curry sauce is more like a spicy, warming butternut squash soup. On chips it's a bit weird tho, not really what I expected, and they didn't really go well together. I'd totally pay for this as soup with some flatbread on the side, I think it would easily be a hit at a posh café, so do keep it on the menu"

"We ordered from this place 3/4 times, all good no complains with curries and burgers. We made an order the other day weekday at 10pm) and when they brought the food there was a portion of chips missing, the pizza crust was completely black and burned, and after a slice I found a black hair between the pizza base and the cheese, so i'm sure is NOT mine! We called to get another pizza and our chips, but whoever answered the phone was very rude, saying that they are all bold at the restaurant and it was not possible! And after 10 min arguing he finally agreed to bring a new pizza, but only if we could show to the delivery guy the hair... After all that mean arguing i did not want any food from them, who know they could have spit on my new pizza... Never again!"

"The first time I ordered from Kismet, the vindaloo was amazing, the prawn biryani was excellent. I was a little disappointed that I ordered chili naan and received plain instead, and I ordered 4 pickles (wobble lime, red sauce, mango) but only got 2 (mint lime and wobble). "Worst curry I have ever had!!!! The veggie Madras was a watery potato stew with a chilli thrown in for good luck and my partner’s chicken masala had no flavour with a lot of water! Even the saag aloo had no taste and way too much spinach; should have used some of the potatoes from the Madras to even it out! Don’t bother wasting your time or money wasn’t cheap and nowhere near value for money! What we didn’t eat (and there was a lot) has been thrown in the bin!!"

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious! I only tried it because someone insisted that their biryani was the best they had ever had, and they were right. The exterior may be unassuming and the decor questionable, but the service and food more than make up for it. I tried the mixed grill and the lamb biryani, both of which were amazing. "Since we last visited some years ago the Everest has made a real effort with their décor including a new beer garden out front. Lighting inside is decorative and colourful but overall ambience is a little too bright maybe? Our food was very disappointing, we ordered Everest Special Mismas and Mixed Grill Masala as mains. Both were higher priced dishes that were supposed to include prawns but there were none in either dish. The Mismas didn 't look anything like the menu photo but in fairness they do state Photos are for suggestion only: Actual Platters may appear DIFFERENT . The Masala grill was described as medium sauce but our dish was very mild with no trace of chilli heat. The stuffed paratha was undercooked and greasy. Pilau rice and vegetable bhuna side however were both very good. Kingfisher and Cobra are served on draft but both were charged 30p a pint more than the printed menu price it 's gone up was the explanation. Prices overall are fair but I was hoping for authentic tasty food that at least lived up to the menu descriptions."

"This Indian restaurant is always fantastic and one of my favorites in the area. The staff is very friendly and attentive, ensuring that your glass is never empty for long. I had the deluxe platter with a wide variety of chicken and lamb dishes, accompanied by a generous portion of rice. This is perfect for those who like to try different curries or have trouble deciding on a dish. The chicken curry was beautifully flavored and the meat was very tender. We prefer our food on the spicy side, and the staff was happy to accommodate our request for extra chili. The naan bread was always served hot and soft, with just the right amount of butter. The portions are generous and I appreciate how knowledgeable and patient the waiters are in helping me navigate the menu. We have dined here with family, friends, as a couple, and even hosted a private banquet and birthday party in the side area without any issues. The prices are average and on par with similar restaurants. The thali we ordered was one of the more expensive items at around £17, but the selection was well worth it. We even had leftovers to take home the next day. Overall, the dining experience is consistently excellent here."
