"Despite a mix up with the booking on what appeared to be an exceptionally busy evening, we were treated to some delicious food and good service. The restaurant staff went out of their way to make up for the booking error and we will certainly head back to sample the fantastic food, perhaps at a quieter time, if there is one for this clearly very popular local restaurant."

"Bedford and Strand is a hidden gem. You'd never realise it was there, until someone in the know takes you. It's well-located, at the foot of Covent Garden, close to the theatres in the Strand and Charing Cross station. It's lively (positively noisy at times), with interesting food: good choices between bar snacks and full meals, and a nice winelist."

"The chairs were old and dirty, and the toilets, while modern, were not well-maintained. The restaurant could benefit from an upgrade. The starters were tasty, but the main courses were overly salty. The chef apologized and prepared a new main course that was much improved. We received a discount on the bill as a gesture of goodwill. The service was friendly."

"My husband and I came here after passing it on the way home and after visiting many years ago decided try again. The service was brilliant, very friendly staff. Food was fresh and tasty, best onion bhajis I've ever tasted!! and the peshwari Naan was particularly yummy. They Don't serve alcohol but we didn't mind at all as you can bring your own if you wish, we ordered a couple of cokes which were a bargain at £1 a can! We ordered from there special offer which was a 3 course for £11.95, what a bargain! Also FREE popadums, so what more can you ask for?? We will definitely be returning and be bringing our friends... :"

"I visited Milan Indian Cuisine with friends on Friday evening (14 July 2023), as we were staying nearby in the City, for the T20 Cricket Finals Day at Edgbaston. It was new to me, but somewhere my friends had visited before and had praise for and now I can see why! I have a nut allergy, and although my options on Indian menu’s are limited, I have to be extremely careful. I made the staff aware of this as we took to our table, and from the start they were hugely accommodating, helping me with what was nut free, they stayed with me until I had made my order. Really was exceptional! I had a starter of Grilled Salmon, which was very nice, and then a main of Lamb Rogan Josh, with Pilau Rice and a garlic naan. A dish I usually go for to be safe, it was one of the best I’ve had! Full of meat and flavour! A huge thanks, particularly to Nico, who’s service was fantastic! We shall be visiting next year for the Cricket finals!"

"I was a bit apprehensive since my friend struggles with social anxiety, and it took a lot to persuade her to join us. Luckily, we were the only diners that day, which made her feel more at ease. The food was delicious; it was honestly the best Indian cuisine I've had in a long time. We will definitely be returning! "The presentation and packaging of the food is excellent, probably one of the best I’ve seen. However the quality and taste of the food is very bad not authentic at all. I ordered the fish madras and fish masala. The fish madras tasted very tomatoey like they just poured a whole tin of tomatoes with no spice or flavour, tasted more like a stew. The fish masala was basically like eating a desert, basically a ton of sugar and thick creamy coconut. I think they cater to a certain type of demographic"

"the food tasted good, had arrived hot and on time. not complaining. I felt, however, that the person I spoke to on the phone had no customer knowledge. I asked for a substitution, and the answer was a quick no, it doesn't come as that I reacted to that I am aware, but I'm requesting a substitution of the same value; not a complete part of something else. what is the problem if you make this type of change exactly? but that was answered with a simple ok, this time, but not next time and when I asked again why the one problem was essentially the person not to wake up and hang up. overall not the best ordering experience. it would have been good to receive a reasonable answer, in particular one that proves that they take care of what their customers want."

"I've been a couple of times and it really made an impression as I particularly wanted to return when I happened to be staying in Leeds with my family. The atmosphere is lovely with live piano music, spectacular views over the canal and large high ceilings and chandeliers. The service is a little chaotic with someone offering us drinks and as they leave the table someone else approaching us from another angle to offer us more drinks. The food is very good and the drinks (all non alcoholic) offer a fair amount of variety but don't assume the lack of alcohol will reduce your bill! Soft drinks are five pound each. "Many moons ago when I worked in Slough a work colleague introduced me to this place. And there begun our love of the biryani and vegetable samosa. Ate here last night and although the vegetable samosa was excellent the biryani wasn't as good as normal. Rice looked like a longer grain but the flavour was also different. Please bring back the old biryani! This isn't the most conformable place. Designed to eat and go. More cafe style.....service is always OK. Don't go expecting Michelin starred food. It's also not like the high street Indian restaurants. This is traditional food.Will definitely return with high hopes of their 5 star biryani returning!"

"Had food here and the carvery was fine. Bar staff were sharp and nice. the place is very big but I have never been in there late. Loads of ex footballers come to the pub for events so it has a been football following and live music. Not sure if it felt like my kinda evening venue so I never tried. Its the same sort of thing as the Bell and the Carpenter. They all start to blend one into the other with styling, menus and target markets. If its your thing go for it."
