"Happy hour Monday all day really good value. Food prepped and seasoned well. Service ok felt like our waitress couldn’t wait to give us the bill and get rid off us. As soon as we finished the last plate she turned our grill off, didn’t check if we’d like to order more food and we asked to order another plate of food, she made a point of switching the grill back on. Again as soon as we finished that she took our plates and handed us the bill. Reluctant to pay the 12.5% service charge but the other waiter who changed our grill was pleasant and friendly."

"I was here a few times and come back with new people who were all as good as me! there is a large selection of vegan options that are all reasonable prices. especially if they order from the 50% off menu at midday. if they are vegan / vegetarian with a meat eater, I would not recommend everything they eat Sushi-deal, as it is less variety, although still good, that is more definitiw for people who eat meat / fish. the personal was always polite and efficient. I never had a problem. it should not be said, but after reading reviews, the only thing I can suggest is treat people (including personal,) as they expect, are treated and I am sure they have a wonderful time. I only had a small problem here (corresponds to all of us) and after talking to a worker, it was quickly, efficiently and politely solved. Just keep in mind what they order, as it can be very easy to be worn away and unfortunately they cannot take any rest after home. I recommend this place and wait to introduce someone else next month!"

"The service wasn't great. No one seemed to know what they were doing. We ate Asian inspired and the salt and chilli chicken was so try it was hard to eat. "I was searching for a restaurant for a pre-theatre meal and a special place to celebrate my husband's birthday. The ambience and authenticity were fantastic, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, we opted for the set menu priced at £35 per person. The quality of the food was outstanding, but we wished there were more dishes and larger portions per person. For example, we ordered the teriyaki salmon and there was only one piece that we had to share. I felt that since we were paying per person, the portions should have been more equal. However, the dessert was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and visit again, but I would be more cautious with my food choices. It is a perfect location for a pre-theatre meal near the Royal Albert Hall."

"SPOILER: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU APPRECIATE GOOD SERVICEAs we were staying at the Grange Hotel at St Paul’s we decided to eat in and chose their Japanese restaurant Benihana. We booked for 7.30pm and were running a little late arriving at 7.45pm. A young lady greeted us, asked if we had booked which we confirmed we had, she then left explaining she would get the manager to attend to us. A couple of minutes passed whilst we observed that the restaurant was hardly busy with perhaps 12 covers. Then another young lady greeted us, again asking had we booked and again we confirmed we had and explained we were being seen to. We then waited another couple of minutes, admittedly by now feeling a little neglected. Just then the manager passed by us carrying two chairs and addressing us over his shoulder saying “I know you are waiting just give me a minute and I will be with you”. Sure enough a minute later the manager appeared, again asking whether we had booked, which we confirmed and then, upon checking the computer turned to us and in a surly tone said “You’re late, you should have been here at 7.30.” We were absolutely stunned, particularly given that a large part of the time lapse had been due to their lack of attention upon our arrival. Quite the most appalling service we have ever had and we had not yet managed to reach the table. Needless to say we walked out and ate at an excellent Japanese restaurant, Uramaya, down the road where we had not booked, and where we were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately this restaurant completely lets down an otherwise excellent hotel."

"First time at Robatary. We were impressed by the service. We had two people in our group that had mobility problems and the seats allocated were not suitable, the staff had no hesitation in setting up and providing an alternative table. The service was attentive and polite without being intrusive. Once we understood how the menu was set out, the food was excellent. A friendly suggestion, the pancakes served with the duck, would be better served flat than packaged in a nice square which made them difficult to separate. We would definitely go there again."

"Somehow the service here is abysmal when we ask if it’s possible for some accommodation for our food intolerance, our waitress just started to give us a hostile attitude, then said she would check n come back to us but never came back. Instead just started serving food for us without letting us know if accommodation can be made so we could dine here safely. Our order was messed up. Many things was taken down wrong and the correct items were not served until we’ve asked again a long time later. Also never informed us of anything on the table that potentially contains food intolerance trigger until we almost finished everything. It’s a very bad dining experience given we’ve ordered 150£ worth of food. Maybe won’t return to this brunch."

"Incredible disappointed as have been to other Benihana’s and had a fantastic experience. We arrived early and weren’t allowed to sit down which was fine as we sat at the hotel bar. When we went back to be seated we were only told then they were short of chefs so no one would be cooking in-front of us... isn’t that why you go there?! There was quite a language barrier between us and the waitress but we soon found out they had NO sushi or sashimi!!! Had they had the courtesy to be honest and tell us beforehand we could’ve booked a different venue instead of wasting our evening which we were meant to be celebrating my boyfriends birthday. We left with no apology and will not be revisiting."

"we had a great evening in their restaurant! we came in without booking, and there were 8 of us at one of the evenings. the spicy margaret was just one of the best cocktails we need to order most. the cocktails taste fabulous! one of my friends has several allergens. it is not good to eat, and most of the food she cannot eat. a blonde lady took our job, and I told her I had several allergens. an Asian lady knows my allergens. she went beyond and beyond to make sure I had something to eat. she almost makes me cry because she cares about my allergens. thanks for a fabulous evening. the Asian dame and all the workers make our evening just as good as her. We will be back for more cocktails. we love this place and you are the best!"

"The restaurant is rather small and soulless: dark plain walls, small tables. Despite booking, the waitress (who was in charge/mother of a small baby in the restaurant during service) had no clue and did not find the booking. Fortunately, we arrived early. I had asked...whether they had gluten-free options when I booked, but on arrival the waitress who did not have a good command of English told me I could only have plain sushi nothing cooked at all and no soy sauce. I felt somewhat misled. The food was very slow in coming out to us. It was better than pre-packed supermarket items, but more cafe than restaurant. in quality. We will not be returning."

"Treated my son, the fish lover, to his first ever trip to Yo Sushi. It has changed since I last visited and I love the new ordering system and traffic light feature. You order by scanning the QR code at your table (need to set up an account to order and pay) and pay for your food in advance, rather than stuff your face and then almost pass out when the bill comes. When the LED light strip in front of you turns amber it means your food is on its way. Then the strip turns green, your food stops in front of you and you grab it (same with drinks too). We went for a spot of lunch and it was really all delicious with plenty of choice, but couldn't find any ramen/soba dishes on the menu, so maybe that's just on the evening menu. Worth booking ahead as quite a few people were turned away when they hear of possibly an hours wait."

"We called ahead yesterday after enjoying a drink, and ended our meal with the delicious bread and butter pudding with custard. My friends had the cheesecake with a unique twist, the scallops, and the lamb kebab. We also discovered the Moroccan mint tea with rose, which is a must-try. "We are just loving this place. Our third visit and we keep coming back for more. In our opinion it is the best place in London right now to get japanese food and believe me we have been to quite a few japanese restaurants. Fabulous food, well cooked and seasoned, extensive menu and the staff could not be more helpful and attentive. We had two orders of edamme as appetisers then moved on to duck chicken gyoza. So difficult to stop eating these delightful dumplings but we forced ourselves and moved onto chicken katsu and salmon teriyaki. Both were absolutely delicious. We finished with creamy chocolate and coffee cocktails. Coupled with heavenly Miles Davis on the airwaves we left walking on air and are currently planning our next visit. With the 50% off we paid £19.60 for the whole meal. Incredible value"
