"We absolutely love Orchid Lane, when the ‘good chef’ is on. The meals are fresh, plentiful and packed full of flavour. However, it pains me to say that I am not sure I will continue to get deliveries from here, as we are unsure when...the ‘bad chef’ is on and it’s completely ruining our dining experience from Orchid Lane. On a handful of occasions now, including last night, we have purchased a takeaway and it was tasteless, lacking salt and chilli (which for salt and chilli wings and salt and chilli chips this is worrying), the chips weren’t cooked properly, the fried rice was stodgy and the Singapore chow mein had next to no chicken in it. It left me feeling queasy after consuming the food. I am really fed up with paying the same amount of money for what feels like a lucky dip not knowing whether it will be a delight or substandard quality food. Orchid Lane, please get rid of whichever chef it is that was on shift on Sunday, January. They provide disgusting food and I’m sure we won’t be the only loyal customers you lose from their poor efforts at Chinese cuisine."
