"The New Anand is how I remember Indian restaurants the decor is a mixture of Rennie Macintosh and a minimalist scheme executed by the set designers of Barbie after a night on the razz. The exterior resembles the typical Victorian ferry buildings you find on the end of a pier walking through the door is like stepping into your silver Delorean to find yourself emerging into the late 70 's early 80 's ... the menu is wonderfull with at least 2 versions of every curry you can name, they still give you popadoms and spicy onions to munch on as you attempt to navigate/decode a menu which would confound Alan Turing and the team at Bletchley Park however the food itself is utterly divine. Tandoori tikka mix is arrives sizzling and its big chunks of succulent fizzling chicken reeking of fresh herbs and spices. The korma ordered arrived as a hot dish of creamy brown heaven, medium sized chunks of chicken cooked perfectly in a smooth sweet coconut and spice sauce not one single drop was left by the end. The fried rice was as full of flavor as it was colourful, and moist, despite a search no one single dry chunks stuck together could be found. Portions outrageously generous, there is a buffet option (bain marie) which was gorgeously aromatic, fragrant and piping hot numerous plates passed by bulging with an impressive mixture of utterly delicious helpings. The drinks were decent and affordable, from rose wine to a perfunctory range of spirits for beer aficionados they do have the amber stuff chilled on draught. Visit often, enjoy the food, savour the moment, you will find New Anand a rare drama free oasis of calm no loud people on phones taking plate pictures for their TikTok/Instagram/Meta followers here. Curry fans are strongly encouraged to take a trip Back to the Future before it is, one day, lost to the past. 5 Marty McFly stars Update just as brilliant as Doc Brown 's design for the flux capacitor, the dishes are as fresh as if they had just been delivered by a kid on hover board. Starter platter for two is highly recommended, as is any of the delicious vegetarian curries best described as simple and superb. Update 4/24 reads exactly as above 5 Groundhog Day stars"

"Your semi A okay place for food, Pizza I ate which is tasty, just the chips tastes as they been refried/frozen again, nothing more than a bland taste thats probably only a 2 star standard tradition for what they served up. Staff are okay, times speaking another language which have no concern over, just when speaking the loud machines make it hard to understand anything without a rumble going on, would give this place a 3/5 it's not the best, yet its still better than the most out there! : Do not reuse the same cooked chips again, can taste how bland they become via cooking oils used, after they been cooked once, twice they become mush and bland, hence a food critics job, overall: Pizza is delicious, that's 4/5 to a 5/5 standard. Burgers are a 3.5/5, again tastes frozen-ish, they a okay for the time being. Chips.... this is an easy 2/5, they taste extreamly bland, other than oil used in cooking and freezing processes, it does not have any grease, just still they taste frozen and unfrozen multiple times, this strips strip tastes down and makes something that's been edible to something questionable. Overall verdict is a 3 out of 5 stars, tried the food first time, only positive was hardly any grease on the food, other than that, frozen food/cooked goods shouldn't be reused again and again, this ruined the taste, said it before and saying it now, please keep an eye on the food you refreeze, often times you can taste the 1st free then 2nd and 3rd ruins texture, this becomes disappointing too in terms of tastes. Not able to finish the chips, pizza was tasty, just the rest had questionable aspects at best."

"Use to be a lovely atmosphere with great staff and food however since the new owners have come in the standards have dropped and they don’t seem to care. Visited with a friend for a quick bite to eat for lunch, place was quiet, not like before when it use to be bustling. Asked for a panini meal and specifically asked if the spicy chicken was marinated where they lady behind the till confirmed it was. I am quite picky with my food and if the member of staff confirms something then you expect it to arrive like you expect. When it arrived I could immediately see that the chicken was not marinated, instead there were 2 pieces of chicken, and I’m not lying when I say they must have been each the size of two 50p pieces and super thin, plain and not marinated, the chilly came via some chilly sauce out of a bottle topped on the chicken. The panini was accompanied with a minuscule amount of chips and salad on the side, more suitable for a kiddy’s meal. When questioning the person behind the till who confirmed it was marinated originally replied with “no that’s how it come”, obviously I was slightly irate as it’s not what I expected, and to top it off my bottle of water that I paid £1.50 was Costco’s very own 330ml Kirkland brand. Overall I will not be returning to this place. The food has gone down hill and the owners don’t care. Maybe I was just unlucky and it was and off day but I won’t go again. Food was below average and definitely not value for money."
