"absolutely loved our yings kidnapping where we ordered the veg tempura, tofu jungle curry, tofu masaman curry, jasmin rice and homemade chips. the veg tempura was delicious with a beautiful teig, while the masaman curry was aromatic, rich and extremely tasteful. the jungle curry is not for the weak heart; personally I loved the spicy and deep of taste. both dishes also had a large selection of fresh vegetables and juicy tofu. the homemade chips were also a tasty bite. I can't wait to visit again."

"Utterly dreadful. We had the rare beef salad (inedible, meat from cheap cut), two pad krapow (measly portions merely bigger than a starter) and one chicken curry soup (had hardly any chicken in and arrived after the other three diners had fully finished their meals). Chef clearly out of his depth, serving staff apologetic but really really disappointing experience. I’ve seen this before, it’s the beginning of the end for a restaurant that was good in the past but just isn’t worth it anymore. Wagamamas is a step up from this garbage."

"I used the takeaway service for my birthday dinner, having chosen this restaurant because it claims to be the only Thai place in Salisbury that offers home delivery. However, that is not true, and I had to ask my guests to pick up the meal instead! While the food was delicious (even if it wasn't very hot) and ready for collection at the scheduled time, this was not the relaxed family dinner I had envisioned. I would kindly suggest updating your website or actually providing delivery services!"

"Disappointing first visit to the restaurant! Heard lots of good things so decided to give it a try! Booked for and arrives on time! Table was ready so we sat and ordered a drink and looked at the menu! Place was near to capacity! Big party of around people which should have made the alarm bells ring! Prawn crackers were brought after we'd ordered our starters! Starters arrived about then more prawn crackers! We were told that the mains would be delayed as the big party would need to be served! We were kept updated but when it got to and we were told the mains would be another half an hour we paid for what we had and left! The front of house staff were lovely but there was clearly a problem in the kitchen! Such a shame as was looking forward to it! May give it another go but it'll be a while!"

"I used to come here as a teenager with my family but haven 't been for about 5/6 years, I returned last night and the owner not only remembered who I was but also remembered my severe food allergies without prompt. He knows exactly what 's in his food and will adapt things (within reason) to what you need, he even brought us out an extra dish he thought we would like, made especially. It gets busy so you need to book, but its worth it. Wonderful, unique food and service, a definite 'sweet spot ' for the area. But best of all, comfort with my food allergies (ask for Rashan). I will be returning much sooner than I have in all these years!"

"I went to this cafe for the first time today was rather surprised at their attitude. The food was well prepared the service was efficient polite there were plenty of other customers eating but when I asked for a coffee I was told that there was no milk. As this establishment is a cafe customers will expect milk with their teas coffees this shows that management do not put themselves out for their paying customers so I won't be returning on a regular basis. They took their 10% anyway. I regularly eat out when other cafes run out of milk they go to the shops buy more which makes the paying customer valued but obviously this is not so with this cafe. I have given a 5 star rating so that management can read this hopefully change their attitude."

"Excellent food, and always has been. The default spice level is mild, but Thai spicy upon request. Sea bass, salmon or scallops are available on the menu (as are meats such as lamb or duck, which I don 't eat) they seem pricey at a glance, but are actually good value in terms of size, flavour and comparison with other restaurants (e.g. Italian). Great lunchtime special offer is worth checking out. A soup starter, then a curry (several different types available) with steamed rice, plus a soft drink, for a tenner. Food was fabulous and portions more than adequate! However, they may be temporarily closing soon due to the crisis . Hope they re open soon see you then."

"Wow. I have eaten at 30+ Thai restaurants in the UK and this is now my absolute favourite. My husband and I lived in Bangkok for a number of years, so finding “authentic” Thai food is a way to stay connected to that time in our life. Not only is the food outstanding, but the owners are true restaurateurs. They glide around that place, giving everyone little bits of personal attention, which makes the whole experience perfect. It is no wonder they ask you to book weeks in advance. Star highlights for me after our first visit: Moo grawbp crispy pork with the most delicious sweet/sour dip. Pad see eew they actually use fresh wide rice noodles (no pad Thai rice sticks or mama noodles in sight). They also managed when it was busy, to cook a “Thai egg” (Kai daow) to go on top. On a weekend they even do Kanom Thuay which are delicious little bowls of coconutty pandaan goodness. I feel so lucky to live within driving distance of ZenThai. Cannot wait to go back. Side note the loos are pristine which always makes me feel happy. "Me and my family used to love Thai Lemon. It is one of our favourite local restaurants. We would visit at least 1-2 x a month. The previous owners were amazing and always offered a great service with their food and hospitality. The owners have changed and we visited once a few months back and did not meet our expectations. We decided to give them another chance today and can safely and sadly say will NEVER be visiting Thai Lemon again. Unfortunately the food is just not worth eating out. Maybe we are just so used to the amazing food we used to have by the previous owners but this just does not compare all. Prices have also increased which ok is understandable but they have also added a service charge to their bills. £240 bill and the duck pancakes were mouldy (wish I had taken a photo, large area of mould). When pointed out to the waitress she did not even apologise and simply said ‘I will get you a new one’. We were put off and didn't continue eating it. The duck was VERY dry and clearly old. Spring rolls full of oil inside. Drinks were not even cold from the fridge. Offered at room temperature with no ice in 32 degrees weather? Tom yum appaling, extremely salty and mushrooms very old. We did not finish these. Barely any meat in the sweet n sour chicken and oyster beef. No flavour in any dish whatsoever, thai food is meant to be very flavoursome. Really not worth £240 very disappointing. They didnt even offer to reduce the bill or remove service charge after the mouldy pancakes. Very unprofessional and food is not up to restaurant standard. Can tell they dont have a proper chef."

"This is by far the best and most authentic Thai food I have experienced in the UK! My wife is half Thai and has lived there and even she was amazed at some of the dishes available here that we haven't found anywhere else except Thailand itself. Its a BYOB, which we didn't mind at all. There is a corkage fee but it wasn't over the top by any means. The staff were lovely and were very quick to accommodate anything we asked for, including things like providing small bowls so we could share a larger soup like a starter and other random requests. If you are a fan of Asian food or especially Thai food and can get over to this restaurant I cannot recommend it enough! The venue is small, however, so it's best to book in advance as there's no guarantee you could get a table otherwise."

"We had a takeaway collection meal yesterday evening. Overall we have had numerous takeaways, one delivery and have eaten in on a few occasions over the last couple of years. Yesterday’s meal was as good as we’ve always found it tasty, authentic, and plentiful....However, there was a misunderstanding about the katsu dish which I’d ordered for a vegetarian but came with chicken. I’d wrongly assumed that it had defaulted to tofu as it did not use the word ‘chicken’ anywhere in the name or description of the dish. I am very pleased to see that they have already amended the menu which clearly now states it’s a chicken dish. What I did not appreciate, though, was being told patronisingly by the male member of staff that ‘katsu’ means chicken implying that I should have known this. A very quick google search would have informed him that ‘katsu’ refers to the cooking process, and can therefore be applied to whatever meat, fish or veggie ingredient which features in the dish. The fact that the menu has been updated suggests that he now realises this. So, would have been five stars for the delicious food but I have reduced to four stars for the slightly officious manner with which the male staff member approached the issue, which I do acknowledge was at least partially caused by my erroneous assumption."
