"it was good, the dives for the popadoms are great no are flavored and all are very delicious! I had mango chicken ktikka with garlic cheese nan, and cooked rice the nan was a ok size for 2, if I had it again I would exchange the rice as not as good and the portion size of rice is small. I would have the Mango-Curry again!"

"Nouvelle Spice is a wonderful Indian restaurant located in New Cross. Their friendly service, large portions, and affordable prices make it a great dining spot. The food is delicious, with the chicken korma being sweet and creamy without being too rich, and the lamb dansak perfectly tangy. The peshwari naan is especially excellent, with a thick, doughy texture and a delicious golden filling topped with toasted sesame seeds. The prawn palak and bhindi bhaji dishes were also tasty, although the pilau rice was nothing special."

"Unfortunately our delivery took almost 2 hours to arrive last night despite being ordered at 18.50. They should have been honest and said they could not full fill the order as they were busy. The offer of a free popadom does not suffice. Very disappointing as it disrupted our evening. It’s great you’re busy however please look after your customers. I had paid in advance over the phone so not a lot I could do."

"I've been a couple of times and it really made an impression as I particularly wanted to return when I happened to be staying in Leeds with my family. The atmosphere is lovely with live piano music, spectacular views over the canal and large high ceilings and chandeliers. The service is a little chaotic with someone offering us drinks and as they leave the table someone else approaching us from another angle to offer us more drinks. "Was staying in Portsmouth for a few days. Went to Purple mango Indian restaurant. Arrived a little early but that did not matter.Was shown to r table which was clean. Had a nice bottle of wine. Which was nice chilled. Good poppadoms a great selection of dips. For are starters we had mussels in lemon garlic also meat samosas they came lovely hot. For are mains we had king prawn masala ,garlic naan, sag aloo, chicken tikka masala, all very good lovely hot also had water at the table. Nice chilled. Had dessert chocolate mousse , strawberry dessert .very nice .to round of the evening coffee .very nice. Also Baileys on the house. Nice touch. Big shout out to are waiter Ali nothing to much trouble for him .All the waiting staff are very well dressed clean tidy.The restaurant is a lovely setting. Nice for couples or big groups of people.The owner Raji is lovely asked if are food was ok. At the end of the night he even called us a taxi back to are hotel. Which was very good him .would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Portsmouth area. Lovely clean restaurant . Lovely friendly waiting staff. Food amazing.best Indian in town. "Looked online at the menu and this place seemed like a jack of all trades. Doner kebabs to korma 's, pizzas to Peshawar naan........I ordered from there as its a stones throw away from my mums. Thought what the hell and ordered. Phoned them and asked how long it would be, told 20 mins. Went to collect food and guy couldn 't see order. Spoke to his pal and then found a note pad with my order. 7 minutes later the food arrives for me. My naan bread was more like a garlic pizza bread which was crispier than a deep fried won ton. My mum said her chips were hard, more hard than a slab of concrete. Overall, very disappointed in the quality."

"There is a vegan section and on the menu hoped that the order would be easy. Allergens are also listed, so it is also quite easy to see what is vegan from other bits of the menu, like sunflowers . Most of the staff who had to be embarrassed had no idea what vegan meant, I had to explain it. There is a big buffet, but I was recommended not to use it, as serving utensils could be accidentally exchanged by other dishes. Good enough. After ordering from the menu, I was then sent a message from the kitchen that says dishes were not labeled with vegan!? and had to show them to the menu and explain everything again.... When the food showed up, it was delicious and the Chapattis were excellent, but small portions. The salad might not have been vegan!?"

"a few weeks ago with my partner visited to dinner and has a brilliant visit from beginning to end. service was fantastic that we sat immediately and our drinks within one minute or two and our eating about 10 minutes after. Once we finished a drink, the employees were ready to take over the next order. the selection of drinks was fantastic (we had a few of the handicraft lice each) and the selection of food was amazing. we had the garnels for the starter to share, and for the net I had the soya keema and my partner had the herbal curry, both with a side of chili cheese naan and bhaajis. the whole food was beautiful and tasted incredible. unbeatable prices all the above mentioned food and 4 pints of al for £ 50 is an absolute bargain. will come back 100%!"
