"Nouvelle Spice is a wonderful Indian restaurant located in New Cross. Their friendly service, large portions, and affordable prices make it a great dining spot. The food is delicious, with the chicken korma being sweet and creamy without being too rich, and the lamb dansak perfectly tangy. The peshwari naan is especially excellent, with a thick, doughy texture and a delicious golden filling topped with toasted sesame seeds. The prawn palak and bhindi bhaji dishes were also tasty, although the pilau rice was nothing special."

"We plan to have take away food and thought to get in Tulasi but for takeaway restaurant the price is equal to dine in. Prices for Nan and paratha they are charging 3.40 which is very expensive and size is not so big and average chapati size. We spent 18 one curry and three bread-kemma paratha . I believe if they revised the prices they will get more customers because definitely I will not got second time to buy the food it is not worth to spend. We order lamb tikka rogan, Curry is average taste and lamb is not soft and not cooked well. To be honest we felt the it taste like onion and tomato curry. My rating for this restaurant 3/5"

"I've been a couple of times and it really made an impression as I particularly wanted to return when I happened to be staying in Leeds with my family. The atmosphere is lovely with live piano music, spectacular views over the canal and large high ceilings and chandeliers. The service is a little chaotic with someone offering us drinks and as they leave the table someone else approaching us from another angle to offer us more drinks. "Was staying in Portsmouth for a few days. Went to Purple mango Indian restaurant. Arrived a little early but that did not matter.Was shown to r table which was clean. Had a nice bottle of wine. Which was nice chilled. Good poppadoms a great selection of dips. For are starters we had mussels in lemon garlic also meat samosas they came lovely hot. For are mains we had king prawn masala ,garlic naan, sag aloo, chicken tikka masala, all very good lovely hot also had water at the table. Nice chilled. Had dessert chocolate mousse , strawberry dessert .very nice .to round of the evening coffee .very nice. Also Baileys on the house. Nice touch. Big shout out to are waiter Ali nothing to much trouble for him .All the waiting staff are very well dressed clean tidy.The restaurant is a lovely setting. Nice for couples or big groups of people.The owner Raji is lovely asked if are food was ok. At the end of the night he even called us a taxi back to are hotel. Which was very good him .would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Portsmouth area. Lovely clean restaurant . Lovely friendly waiting staff. Food amazing.best Indian in town. Raji should be very proud of his team in Purple mango they all was working very hard Friday night."

"I have made a hühnertikka while I came back, all can see the picture what is dirty that we have made a order of one thing and they will send others to them. I've tried to call her again and again to change it and take her box away, but they haven't picked up my phone. very bad customer service. a month ago we had pizza of very poor quality from this restaurant. will never order from this restaurant, everyone tries to avoid it as far as possible."

"I haven't been here for quite a while so it was nice to see that the standards are still high. We had the buffet and found there was plenty of choice to suit most people although another rice alternative would have been nice. Certainly lots of starters and a fair variety of sweets. The staff were attentive without being over the top but I could have done without the guy sweeping up around the tables during service."

"a few weeks ago with my partner visited to dinner and has a brilliant visit from beginning to end. service was fantastic that we sat immediately and our drinks within one minute or two and our eating about 10 minutes after. Once we finished a drink, the employees were ready to take over the next order. the selection of drinks was fantastic (we had a few of the handicraft lice each) and the selection of food was amazing. we had the garnels for the starter to share, and for the net I had the soya keema and my partner had the herbal curry, both with a side of chili cheese naan and bhaajis. the whole food was beautiful and tasted incredible. unbeatable prices all the above mentioned food and 4 pints of al for £ 50 is an absolute bargain. will come back 100%!"
