"We were in Bury for a few days visiting family and the weather was beautiful , we live on the Wirral and frequently visit Brasco lounge in Liverpool of the same chain , which we love. We actually visited Racconto lounge 3 times on our visit , first time we had a brunch of bacon and egg muffin , which we really enjoyed (although the bacon was very salty) The next day we came back and had a lounge breakfast , and the following day we brought my husbands mum , and drank cups of tea while resting from shopping . We enjoyed all the meals , and its lovely inside , although we ate on the terrace in the sunshine and we found all the staff very pleasant and friendly . But..... we had 2 things let it down for us . Firstly on each occasion , the service was extremely slow, when we had breakfast , it wasn't very busy , but we waited ages , although our tea was brought out well before the food , meaning we then had no drinks to go with the food . The second problem was , after waiting ages , we had to send the breakfast back as it was really cold , and it seemed like it had been sat waiting , almost as long as we had , the bacon on both the breakfast muffin and the breakfast was really , really salty also. None of this would put us off , as we enjoyed the dining experience overall , but if you are in a rush , i really wouldn't recommend eating here , as the wait was alot longer than expected every time ."

"Received Pato’s email featuring the new additions to menu so decided to give Pato Lounge in Orpington another visit as recently we felt it was very disappointing both in the food and staff. So disappointing still! A new menu didn’t change the usual uncleared tables on entering. This was just before 4pm today, Tuesday 10th October. At the bar, I asked for a glass of red wine, a Merlot but told it was out of stock. Decided on a glass of Malbec. This was sloshed into a glass and I had to ask for a napkin (none on the bar) to mop it up from the rim and base of the glass and returned to my table only to see the glass not only ‘dishwasher stained’ but coated in lipstick really ? At £7 a glass????? Food was served by the only floor staff member (who was really pleasant) whilst the rest of the staff, including the barman, sat together noisily chatting at the rear of the restaurant. On going into the ladies toilet, there was no toilet paper in cubicle 2. This was at 5pm and although being assured “the lavatories are checked regularly” no check had taken place since 10am 7 hours previous !!!! Really???? This is not regular in my opinion. The final straw was a man and small child arrived and whilst the man was so busy on his mobile, the child was climbing over the threshold from the restaurant and onto the patio, then allowed to race around the restaurant on his bike!!!! There are too many issues in this one and final visit. This makes me sad that there are too many hygiene, health and safety, and training issues to ever consider returning such a shame. "First time visit. First impressions weren’t great table hadn’t been cleaned and no menus or cutlery. Apparently they were short staffed. When cutlery was delivered, we were one set short. Waitress said she would get an additional set when she next went back downstairs (not sure why cutlery can’t also be stored upstairs for the second tier of the eatery? We ordered via an app, which was straightforward and the food arrived fairly promptly. My drink was only 3/4 full far too much ice to give the illusion of more juice than there actually was. Some of the portion sizes of the food were disappointing the ‘large’ mac cheese certainly wasn’t. We queried whether they had given us the ‘small’ by mistake! Waitress said she would check and get back to us, but she didn’t. Fries and sweet potato fries not good value for money and barely lukewarm. The sundaes were also disappointing for the price mostly cheap vanilla ice cream with sauce and minimal toppings, not worth nearly £7 each. Originally they only had teaspoons for us to eat the sundaes with I pointed out these wouldn’t reach the lower part of the glass and was told they had run out of longer spoons! They did bring one a couple of minutes later, but the initial lack of an appropriately sized spoon was a little irritating. Ambience in the cafe was quite lively at times and there were only two toilets. In general, the food was nice, but lack of attention to detail and issues with portion size/quality dampened the overall meal unfortunately."
