"Recommended to come here and eat before attending a concert. Found a table and sat down and after 10mins a waitress came and took our order which was our starters and mains. Starter arrived in good time we had the fireman's sharing board which was really nice and big enough for four people to share and our 2 for 1 cocktails also arrived in good time and were nice. Then after that it went downhill we waited over an hour after we had finished our starter for our mains I asked a waitress to see where our meals were when clearly we knew we had been forgotten about she never came back with an answer so with my patience wearing thin I asked a gentleman with a clip board who was directing people to tables . He said he would look into it and came over after about 5 mins to apologise it was their mistake and our order had been missed and offered us a free drink. My friend and I asked for a vodka and lemonade and another a Disarano and coke and a bottle of water which arrived within 6 minutes. Our vodka and lemonades had never seen vodka you couldn't taste it at all but my friend said he could taste his Disarano. We waited another 10 minutes and our mains arrived three of us had posh finger sandwiches and the other had a steak sandwich which she left as it was dripping in fat and the roll was barely baked. Our posh fish finger sandwiches were also dripping in fat with no taste we asked for extra tartar sauce to be told by a different waitress that its in the sandwich so in other words your not getting anymore. There was barely any in. We all ate them as we were hungry but they were poor. We asked for the bill and paid and went elsewhere for a cuppa. We know it was busy with being a pink concert on at the stadium of light I personally don't think there was enough staff on to cope with the volume of people so our first visit put us off from ever returning."

"I remember that this pub was refurbished a few years ago, and unlike some pubs that claim to have been "refurbished," this one truly made a significant difference. The decor beautifully blends traditional pub aesthetics with modern touches. I also remember that the food here has always been quite good, plus it has a lovely beer garden. We followed the usual routine: ordering drinks, checking out the menu, and finding a seat outside. They even provided a little basket with cutlery, napkins, and a wooden spoon. The first thing to note about the menu at The White Hart is that it’s possibly the best pub menu I’ve seen. They have the usual pub standards, but also some unique offerings, including great vegetarian options. I was particularly intrigued by the sweet potato and stilton fries. One thing that caught my eye was their newly introduced fresh-made pizzas. My dad and I often discussed why more pubs don't serve pizza—everyone loves them, and they’re a huge hit. When it came time to order, Tom and I found it difficult to choose, so I broke one of the unspoken rules of male dining etiquette and suggested we share. I was curious to try their pizza, but I also like to sample as many different dishes as possible, so sharing seemed like a good idea. We finally decided on a BBQ chicken pizza with added pineapple and sweetcorn, as well as a chicken burger with chips, salad, and coleslaw. When the food arrived, we were very excited. The menu didn’t specify the size of the pizza, but we were relieved to find the portions were generous. Dividing the dishes was easier than we expected—the pizza was already sliced, and the burger featured two chicken breasts stacked together. Tom just cut the hefty bun in half, and that was it. As I recalled, the food here is usually good, but this exceeded our expectations. The pizza was fantastic—loaded with toppings and generous amounts of cheese. Now, I know this might offend some people, but I have to say that Domino’s can’t hold a candle to what we had. The king of pizza delivery should pay a visit to The White Hart to see how pizza should really be made. While it may not offer delivery, the quality and price make it well worth the trip—almost half the price of Domino’s and a hundred times better. I’d rather pay £9 for a high-quality pizza than £16 for a mediocre one. The burger was equally impressive in taste and size. It featured a substantial bun with two chicken breasts, cheese, and it was nicely garnished with lettuce. We were both pleased to find there was no tomato, which can sometimes be an unwelcome surprise. At first glance, we thought the prices might be a bit high, but considering the quality and size of the portions, they were quite reasonable. Most main dishes hovered around £11, with pizzas priced between £8 and £9—not bad at all. The White Hart is truly a gem in the Denmead area. It’s a beautifully decorated pub with high-quality food—a great place for drinks or a good meal. This pub has certainly made a strong impression on me, and I wouldn’t hesitate to rank it among the best I’ve visited."
