"my friend and I came before our walk to the botanical gardens and were not disappointed. the atmosphere was beautiful, the staff so friendly and the eating was delicious. both the prices and the portions were great, we were not disappointed. I managed to get some curry on my white dress and was so worried it was stained, so I asked for a wet serviette but the dame went to get stain remover and helped me get rid of the spot - there is no mark at all! we enjoyed our stay, the time flew by and the owner made it a pleasant experience."

"Generally, the food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty—always hot and full of aroma. I typically dine here once a month and usually get takeout, but it has always been a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there used to be a whole section offering the mains with jackfruit or vegan meat alternatives, but now there are no other options for vegans apart from the generic vegetable curry, which not many of us enjoy. However, the paneer was excellent for vegetarians. I hope they bring back the previous options as I used to enjoy dining here before they removed them."

Having been back, they have an off licence next door which in fact works out cheaper. Courteous and friendly staff and I'm very happy with the food quality. "brighton has a series of good Indian restaurants, but for all round service, quality of food and general experience is therefore still our favorite and we have been here for over 15 years. the chicken ktikka Bhuna-Jal was warm with fresh spices and chili with a beautiful taste. complimented by pilaureis and a keema nan was a top end of the evening after the cinema. large selection on menu and we often have deliveries. definitely worth more than one visit and recommend the shahi thoroughly."

"We visited here with friends. We had not been here for a while . Since then there has been a complete refurbishment. This is to a very high standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was beautiful and there was plenty of it. We only had Poppadams as a start which we were we were glad of as the main meal was more than sufficient. We all said that the price was good also working out at about £80 per couple which included a few drinks each. We definitely have plans to come back again."

"Got a takeaway today, the portion sizes are a joke for the price ,I’ve never felt more ripped off by a takeaway. To make things worse, I actually saw the delivery driver pinching chips behind the bar with his bare hands. Completely unhygienic. When I was handed my mixed donner kebab, it wasn’t even properly wrapped just flimsily thrown together like an afterthought. "I've been here longer than I remember and never had a bad experience. from my young family to ask at the table naan, and countless creepy dinners with my school friends, when the place looked like a transportcafé but had the best curry in french, I am always amazed that it was so easy to get a table. we made sure that it was so good if we first tried his new iteration, that the workers remembered what two of my party pests had eaten at a previous visit! we should rest soon. it is still the best, and whenever friends and family visits from all over the country, if they ask where they want to eat always say: “Can we go to adil?” despite the fact that there are probably fifty good curry houses between my house and stoney lane. but it is always worth making the wall for the best quality. and remarkable it is also not expensive. but don't tell anyone, I still want to get one table next time."
