"A cheap food for Pakistani cuisine. Will not recommend the whole menu, but their chicken biryani, chicken curry offers are good and worth the price. The chicken biryani is mixed with good biryani recipe not like rice with curry types. They are also quite fresh as they sell well daily. Taste is very much house style nothing like a restaurant preparation. You can literally cook the same food at home. £3 for Biryani and £4.50 for Curry plus 2 Roti."

"I've can't remember tasting such delicious, fresh and wonderfully spiced food. As another review on here says, I honestly can't wait to go back. The service is friendly and relaxed, we stayed chatting for a while after finishing our meal and were not hurried out. I went with 2 friends and we all ordered a vegetarian curry although we are not all vegetarian. We chose a coconut flavoured curry, coconut rice, pilau rice, tomato and black bean curry, and an aubergine based curry. I wanted to know the ingredients and made a note of the Indian names of the curries although not listing here. We all commented on the exceptional quality."

"Makan cafe was a recommendation and wasn’t a disappointment, on portobello road on the outskirts of the street market, this place is a must try….. we were there for the Malaysian food but they also do chimes food, Indian snacks and treats… samosas, kebabs, cakes, desserts…. There’s plenty of choices…. The Roti Canai is very good, flaky and crisp Roti, flavoursome curry…. Top 3 in London….mee hoon goreng seafood…. Vermicelli noodles with seafood and egg…. Mouthwatering good, right amount of spice, very authentic in taste, fresh seafood… washed down with iced teh tarik, correct amount of sweetness and flavour….. take away banana cake which thoroughly enjoyed on train home…. Amazing recommendation and you’ll struggle to find a better cafe that caters for many cuisines…."

"Located on the Royal Mile, Hidden on The Pakora Bar offers a great atmosphere and delicious food in a beautiful location near the Parliament side of the street. The butter chicken and rice were delicious, as was the aubergine pakora. The Punjabi and mint yogurt sauces paired well with the dishes and were recommended to us. I washed it all down with a nice beer. I recommend stopping by for a meal or drink when in the area, as it is definitely worth it."

"Disgusting... Ordered pepperoni pizza and burger via UberEats. Pizza arrived squashed to one side of the box (when the delivery guy saw it, he took another pizza from his bag and used his dirty hands to move it back saying that he doesn't want another client to see it like that.. The pepperoni' smelled like homeless person's feet and tasted sour. Burger tasted like old, dirty pan with a mountain of salt (trying to cover something and mayo, all between soggy, disintegrated bun. Both not edible"

"Today I purchased some samosas and chicken rolls, as well as hulwa puri, from this restaurant. Unfortunately, all the food had a bad smell. I had to return everything because it was not fresh. When I returned the food, the staff was very rude and mentioned that every shop sells food from the previous day or a couple of days old. They admitted that none of the food is fresh. I have recorded their statement and will be filing a complaint with the health council. They did not even offer an apology. I will not be returning to this restaurant again."
