"This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. Staff were very friendly and the service was very good."

"I have been working at the red rose for over 2 years, both as a driver and as a waiter. I know the restaurant and the food to be clean and look. after 25 years there is the same boss. he flaps over and panic when it starts to be too busy, but this is because he cares about 110% to get the food to the customers, and he knows what he does! the same as for the rest of the staff. they are regular long-term employees who are well-trained and qualified, and always go from there to make their visit as beautiful as possible. the personal is always for a laugh and sweat. they are very professional, but from them they crack a sweat with them, they will join and will not ignore it they are good fun and fun to work. Currently there are only alcohol-free drinks on the menu starting in October 2021."

"This is my favourite Indian restaurant in London so far. I've eaten in and had take away from here and have enjoyed it every time. My regular order is a chicken korma with extras such as naan bread and onion bhajis. What I like most about this Indian restaurant over others I've tried is the way they make the chicken korma. They're generous with the chicken and the sauce is creamy and the best I've tasted. Eating at the restaurant is a pleasant experience. The staff are attentive and polite and you don't have to wait too long for your food. The music, lighting and atmosphere is relaxing and the tables are located around the the large window looking out onto the street so it feels very open, yet cosy at the same time. Overall, a lovely eating experience."

"I visit regularly,So I thought I'll invite a few a my Taxi driver friends to try this fantastic place out. Wel! they were very impressed with how fresh and tasty the food is, We didn't wait long and there was nothing left on the plates. We ordered breakfasts, burgers and chicken dishes. Unfortunately we was enjoying it so much we forgot to take photos but rest assured Shirley Cafe is worth a visit. My Taxi friends will be make it a goto place for great fresh quality reasonably priced food. As usual the staff are very friendly great hygiene very clean toilets."

"Special night at gandhi. There was a power cut at restaurant and in vicinity just after we ordered our food. They made us very welcome providing popadoms by candlelight and wine until the power returned. They then provided our order despite it being quite late for them. Excellent food and great service. "The signature dishes at this restaurant are truly incredible and some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The chef is very talented. However, I am deducting 1 star because the man at the counter is rude and unprofessional with customers. Whenever I order through JustEat, he scolds me like I'm a misbehaving child and insists I should order directly from the restaurant because it would be cheaper (which is not true, the prices are the same or even higher when I call in). He is visibly frustrated by JustEat and takes it out on the customers. His behavior is unacceptable and I am considering not returning."

"I recently ordered takeout from Palace Spice. Despite not being a confrontational person, the experience left me feeling extremely frustrated. I ordered my usual Indian dishes - chicken biryani, chicken jalfrezi, rice, and naan bread. The estimated delivery time was between 40 minutes to an hour, but it ended up being an hour and 20 minutes. When I called to inquire about my order, they offered a 10% discount on my next order as an apology. After waiting a bit longer, I called again angrily demanding an update. When the food finally arrived after more waiting, I was livid and refused to accept the late delivery. The driver called me to say they were on their way, but I was already done with Palace Spice. Needless to say, this experience ruined my Saturday night. Avoid ordering from this restaurant at all costs."

"It's unfortunate that this restaurant has potential with its tasty food, but the service is severely lacking. In the five times we've ordered, our food was delivered incorrectly each time. The first time I arranged for collection, they hadn't even checked their online orders. The second collection went smoothly, but the third time, our order was wrong again. The premises appear unhygienic, and the staff do not seem to be taking any precautions for COVID-19, such as wearing masks or gloves. Unfortunately, despite the good food, the lack of proper hygiene standards and accuracy in orders make it unlikely that we will return. Out of the eight times we've visited, we've only had a satisfactory experience once."

"This used to be my favourite Indian restaurant, which I would highly recommend to friends/family, not any more! Ordered a chicken madras, arrived swimming in oil, onion bhagis with mint sauce, onion salad and popadoms. The onion bhagis arrived but no mint sauce, onion salad or popadoms! I rang the restautant to kindly tell them they had not been delivered to be rudely told its not there fault, it was the Deliveroo drivers fault . I had paid for these items and they WOULD NOT deliver them to me or apologise. The whole meal went in the bin. I will NEVER order from this restaurant again, the staff used to be so lovely, but whether or not they have changed staff, they seriously need to look at their customer service skills!"

"Finally I've found a worthy curry house I can be happy regularly since my previous favorite, massala, burned a year or so before. great service and eat that well presented and especially delicious! I had a tikka madras and it had only the right amount of heat was still full of taste. the shami kebab starter was great and the naan was probably one of the best I ever had. my only smaller negatiw is that in contrast to most curry houses it is quite brightly lit, which means that it loses a little of the atmosphere that they normally expect in an Indian restaurant. but if there was a choice between great food and atmospheric lighting, it will win every time!"
