"We went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday celebration and ordered the GF options from the sharing menu. The staff member was fantastic, explaining everything to me and even added an extra GF item from the main menu so we didn't just have a double serving of a starter. They also allowed my partner to order a non-GF starter for free. The food was delicious and all the staff were aware of my dietary requirements. It was a really positive experience and we will definitely be returning."

"The customer service at this restaurant is terrible, especially from the manager who is very rude and lacks knowledge about customer service. When I complained about the burnt pizza, he became aggressive and started making excuses. How would I know the taste of the pizza if I didn't eat it? After returning the pizzas that were picked up by the driver, the manager refused to refund my money because we had eaten some slices. Despite ordering 2 large pizzas and a side for 4 people, we only ate a few slices as everyone agreed that the pizza tasted burnt. I am extremely disappointed with both the customer service and the quality of the pizza. I strongly advise against ordering from Islington Pizza Hut as they are rude and the taste of the pizza is awful. I lost £20 and I don't want others to lose their money too."

"We came to dine at Dim T before going to the theatre. We arrived at 5.30pm and there was only one other group in the restaurant. It took the waitress 20 minutes before coming to take our drinks order and we then had to call her over to take our food order. The starters and mains all came out together, which was not made clear to us when we placed the order. We were not provided with cutlery. My wife’s vegetarian Katsu curry was awful, with the sweet potato being raw. No apology and when we left the restaurant, not even a bye or thank you from the waitress. Shocking service and will never come again"

"The food at this restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend trying the garlic bread with cheese, it was absolutely delicious. However, the service was a bit slow as we had to wait about 15/20 minutes to place our order. There was also a slight confusion with payment, as we had already paid when another person asked us if we were paying with cash or card. Despite this, the staff were very polite. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 5. I would consider this place for a dine-in dinner option, with prices ranging from £10-20 per person."

"Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. "Had a fab time at Ullysses on a Saturday evening. We were booked in for a 6.30 sitting. We got there and there was a wedding reception in full swing. Very refreshing to see something like this in a place like that. That spoke volumes to us to say that someone thought so highly of the place, that they chose to have their first meal as a married couple there with all their nearest and dearest. The food was exceptional. Could not fault it! I've had Greek plenty of times, home and abroad. This was up there with the best of them. Value for money was excellent, although we did think the drinks were a little pricey, but for the standard of the food, we didnt mind all that much. We sampled a cocktail each. The same cocktail but 2 very different tastes unfortunately. As for the restaurant itself, the staff were thoughtful, helpful and attentive. Our surroundings were pleasing and comfortable. Quite noisy and a couple of boisterous children, but they belonged to the wedding party. We didnt mind, as it was a one off. The music was fab too. When we visit Birmingham again, we will absolutely be returning to Ullysses. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend."

"The service at this restaurant was lacking, but the food was outstanding. We placed an order online for a mixed grill with house fries, a kebab with garlic sauce, and king prawns with rice. Unfortunately, the mixed grill was missing chips, the prawns didn't come with rice, and the kebab was sauce-less. When we called to address the issue, we were met with rudeness from a staff member who claimed we had ordered from the wrong menu. The manager eventually clarified the confusion caused by two different menus on Just Eat and their website, and offered a small gesture to apologize for the mistake. Despite the disappointing service, the food we did receive was exceptional. If they can improve their service and menu consistency, this restaurant has the potential to excel in terms of food quality."

"This is not a glamorous restaurant it is a small, family run affair, a bit too brightly lit and in need of a few decorative flourishes, but the reviews are so good because despite the less than perfect surrounding the food is genuinely outstanding....I have eaten a lot of Greek food in Athens and the Islands, have many Greek friends and have visited the country over times. This food is exactly like what I have eaten there and in my friends homes. Tasty, rich without being overbearing, comforting, not greasy and totally fresh: and perfectly cooked. It's also reasonably priced. In my opinion it is much better than many way more expensive and celebrated Greek restaurants that serve greasy and tasteless Greek specialities I took my partner and our two kids and they all loved it. We had perfect deep fried calamari that is possibly the best I've ever had thick rings, fresh and tasty, just the right amount of light batter not those stringy thin frozen things sold in most places; spanakopita (spinach and feta fried pies) that were the perfect consistency and ratio of cheese to spinach; taramasalata that was not too creamy (but perhaps could have had a bit more lemon) and then the mains! A delicious chicken souvlaki and whole seabass, both grilled perfectly plainly fresh as can be and delicately seasoned; and a vegetarian Moussaka that was so authentic it took me right back to Greece, again, avoiding the over-greasy bland offerings of so many Greek places light, fluffy and gorgeous. All in all the meal was excellent I took what we didn't eat home and we had a second dinner tonight and it was just as good second time. I highly recommend this restaurant and have only not given it stars because, quite easily, they could make some significant improvements to the interior (dim the lighting for one) and possibly improve the wine list a little. But for Greek food I now know where I am going, everytime. I should point out that this is the first time I've been moved to write a review.."

"Sunday lunch takeaway is outstanding absolutely gorgeous we both got turkey and the meat, vegetables, roast potatoes, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding and gravy all cooked to perfection and the portion size was spot on! We also ordered the dessert box and my eyes lite up with delight there’s strawberry cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake all with cream and custard. Highly recommend this place for the food and the time slot and service was impeccable thank you."

"Picked up a flyer menu from outside the premises. This offered free delivery within 1.5mile radius, though when phoning our order there is no longer free delivery anywhere! Food was ready quickly. Only 4 dips available, the fifth one shown is no longer available... Chips...were some of the soggiest I've ever had. We had to put them in the oven at home to finish cooking them. Rest of the food was ok."

"We love visiting Zorbas, its a real taste of Greece for anyone hankering for a small reminder of those days sitting in a Taverna enjoying the food of that great country. Like all businesses, Zorbas has had to make some changes to survive the pandemic. They have changed the layout of the restaurant as well as a small part of the menu. Sadley, there was no live music when we visited, although the air was filled with a pleasant background of traditional Greek melodies. Our meal came out very quickly from our order, this was far faster than before. People in our party had meat balls, Saganaki cheese for starter. A couple of Lamb Kleftico's, Xirino Souvlaki and Kotopoulo Souvlaki followed as our main course. The standard was great, a fresh taste, akin to what I have had in the best of Tavena's in Rhodes, Zante, Athens etc. For us, the usual party feeling of live music was missing. Although, the staff said they hope to have a new Greek musician soon, so our next visit will see my wife getting up and dancing with the staff. We cannot recommend Zorba's enough. I find you need to book to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table,"

"our evaluation reflects an important thema we have experienced with eating. the beginning of the day dish (lemon sole) was served very underoccupied (e.g. at places). the chef had left the restaurant in the time, this became evident that the waiting staff to complete the cooking of the fish. they did their best, but it was burned on one side. when they had returned the court to our table, all the other members of the party had finished their meal. for a specialized fish restaurant to serve uncooked fish is unpredictable. we had also expected a warm welcome from the chef (owner) as the restaurant has its compact size and interactive culinary experience. the chef hasn't told anyone a word, even when he ran through the restaurant when he went early. there can be good reasons why this was the case, but no one has explained something to us. there was no desserts or coffee available and we left the feeling, the entire meal was an inconvenience for the owner. the waiting staff did their best and was certainly not to blame for what was a bad overall eating experience. a low price reduction was offered, but this was not a cheap meal."

"I visited this restaurant with my fiancée, and we enjoyed a lovely meal. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the interior is spacious, making it easy to accommodate large groups. We started with the cuddly and octopus as appetizers, followed by lobster and Dover sole for our main courses. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The desserts were also lovely, all made in-house. The prices are very reasonable for a seafood restaurant. For those who want something different, there are kebabs and steaks on the menu as well. The owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent. It was quite quiet when we were there, but I sincerely hope this place thrives. It’s a wonderful addition to Southgate!"
