"This restaurant in the midlands serves the best gyros, no doubt about it. They generously fill it with chicken or pork, along with what can only be described as Wetherspoons-style chips. Just be sure to request it with tzatziki, as they have mistakenly used mustard in the past. While some reviews mention friendly staff, I did not have the same experience. Regardless, the tasty wrap makes up for it."

"a warm, friendly welcome and a warm, traditional Greek restaurant with some of the most beautiful homemade foods I had! Even after eating the massive meze between us 3 we left us satisfied but not hard. and the price is criminally low for such amazing food. make sure to tap these youngs well with what they save as it is worth! the kalamari was crispy and light, instead of chewing. the dives were fresh as if they were handmade this morning. the lame fell from the bone. they offer meat round and the halloumi was really not gumy. even the wee was beautiful. five stars of all of us!"

"We had a reservation for a birthday party with 7 people on a Saturday evening. We ordered a set menu but the food was disappointing. It was heavy and lacked flavor, with an overuse of cumin spice. Most of the dishes seemed like ready-made takeout and fried food. The main course consisted of only two plates for 7 people, with an insufficient amount of meatballs and falafel, which were left uneaten due to the overpowering cumin taste. It seemed like the oil hadn't been changed for a long time. We were only given 3 35cl raki and tap water for the table, without any Salgam, tea, or coffee service. Despite paying £80 per person for the set menu, we were only served Turkish mezes followed by a disappointing stuffed meatball. Although they claimed there were 3 main courses in the set menu, dessert was not provided when requested. We spent nearly £500 for 7 people and felt that it was not worth it. The set menu offered no choice and the portions were small and lacking in quality and taste. There was no entertainment, just a generic Turkish Spotify playlist. Overall, I cannot recommend this place for a celebration on a Saturday evening."

"My friend and I were looking for vegetarian dim sum, and she found this gem of a place online. What a fantastic find. We had gyozo, mixed veg dim sum, I had a lovely Korean fried chicken dish, with rice, and peanut brownie dessert, which was more of an ice cream sundae. My friend had the vegan katsu, I tried a bit and it was awesome, she had the mochi dessert. All delicious service was excellent, staff were very friendly and attentive. This place has a really good vibe. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars , but would happily give more. You must try this lovely place."

"We went to this restaurant for a birthday lunch and decided to order from the happy hour lunch menu. For starters, we had the pate with salad, which was very tasty. The salad dressing was delicious and everything tasted freshly made. For the main course, we chose the chorizo chicken pasta, which had plenty of chicken chunks mixed in with the pasta. The sauce was creamy and had a nice kick of spice. All of the dishes were freshly made and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back to try the two steaks for £35 deal, as the couple at the table next to us had it and it looked amazing."

"Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. "Had a really great Xmas party here with a group of friends. Considering their captive audience I'd expect to pay less than £4 for a pint of lemonade. The hosts were lovely, a little frazzled as you can imagine with a full restaurant. The lady felt the need to check the presents I'd given out (ltr bottles of booze) to friends to see they weren't opened. I brushed this off but felt annoyed she picked up the bag herself and didn't ask to be shown. I didn't check if any other table had been treated the same. Like I say, frazzled. "Managed to get a table at late notice which was good. Table was small for 4 persons and dogs were allowed in which sadly for daughter was not great as she’s terrified of them. Service was fine and meal arrived quickly. The menu online is not the menu offered on a Sunday as prices are more expensive than online. (Said £6.95/7.95 and upward online) Still for £9.95 not a bad Sunday lunch price however you really don’t get a lot of food. We got one bowl of veg between 4 plenty carrots, cauliflower and cabbage but not a lot of turnip 3 spoons and it was gone. A separate bowl of mushy peas. We did not get a lot of meat and one person had only a few shredded pieces on their plate and small spoonful of mash/roasts. One large Yorkshire. Food tasted nice just don’t expect a huge portion. Desert menu was plentiful priced around £5 each. We enjoyed deserts and quite filling. Drinks reasonably priced also."

"I feel I need something more than the generic response I received after my scathing review , perhaps I wasn't clear , the food was inedible , despite being ravenous after a long road trip neither me or my friend ate more than a few mouthfuls , it was so disappointing if I had been in the restaurant I would have sent the food back demanded a refund and left. It is disingenuous to describe this as authentic greek food , it's nothing like souvlaki that I've had elsewhere , it was bland tasteless, mushy and dry and powdery like the poor quality chicken had been cooked in an overcrowded pan with no seasoning and then reheated , no colour on it, pale flabby and inedible, i felt so disappointed and it almost ruined our evening, souvlaki is cooked on skewers over charcoal , at least it is if it's authentic as the owner describes it , well the chicken hsd been about as near a grill as the elgin marbles are to the parthenon"

"One of the best Greek restaunts that i went in UK. I was on seminar for a couple of days and I went both days for dinner. Staff is really kind and helpfull. The food exceptionally good I highly recommend 'Kleftiko ' for meat eaters which is a traditional greek plate that has no difference if you taste in Greece or at Zorbas restaurant (Coventry)"

"I 'm very biased when I hear: A new Greek kebab place has opened in London because there are a lot of problems moving the original taste abroad so when I heard there 's a place called Suvlaki and the menu has been done by a famous awarded chef, I got excited that this might be different. And to be honest it was different, most of the dishes were very close to what you can find in Greece as the ingredients were top quality and that was reflected in the price. I got disapointed though with the way I got served aka the looks of my plate and with the quantity. Normally I wouldn 't be fussed about how my dish would look in a kebab place but the whole idea was big chef makes menu so presentation standards went up to match a good restaurant. Also what we ate quantity wise didn 't reflect the price. Roughly 25 pounds per person. My suggestion is take 6 skewers and skip the wraps. Best sausage in London so far though."

"Cyprianus, Locksbottom is a great restaurant. The menu is varied with a few unusual dishes. A good wine list and wine by the glass. The staff are helpful and friendly. "I visited this restaurant with my fiancée, and we enjoyed a lovely meal. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the interior is spacious, making it easy to accommodate large groups. We started with the cuddly and octopus as appetizers, followed by lobster and Dover sole for our main courses. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The desserts were also lovely, all made in-house. The prices are very reasonable for a seafood restaurant. For those who want something different, there are kebabs and steaks on the menu as well. The owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent. It was quite quiet when we were there, but I sincerely hope this place thrives. It’s a wonderful addition to Southgate!"
