"I visited this restaurant with my fiancée, and we enjoyed a lovely meal. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the interior is spacious, making it easy to accommodate large groups. We started with the cuddly and octopus as appetizers, followed by lobster and Dover sole for our main courses. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The desserts were also lovely, all made in-house. The prices are very reasonable for a seafood restaurant. For those who want something different, there are kebabs and steaks on the menu as well. The owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent. It was quite quiet when we were there, but I sincerely hope this place thrives. It’s a wonderful addition to Southgate!"

"If you love Gyros you must try here! Would rate a million stars if I could. What an amazing experience at Yiamas. Honestly one of the best gyros if not meals I have eaten in a long time. The quality, taste and flavours were incredible and to match some proper Greek beer! Delicious. I had the hummus and pitta and also the mixed gyro (Chicken and Pork). The waitress who served me was very friendly and polite and I’m very thankful for her attentiveness. I am not local to the area but when I return to the area I will definitely pop in again."

"Mr Nicks is a lovely little place, competing against all of the usual high street garbage places dominating every city. This open-plan restaurant offers great food at a great price. Friendly staff here in this Greek Taverna meets kebab shop. The chicken gyros wrap was stuffed full and went down a treat, despite having a good portion I still wanted more. If visiting the harbour don’t go for the big chains go for Mr. Nicks that can only be found here and one new site in Glasgow."

"David and I have keenly watched the career of Steve and were delighted to have him take over The Anchor which is a few minutes from home. We had high expectations of the meal and were blown away by the magical dishes. We loved the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere and chatted happily with other diners. The best thing about this lovely village pub is that at it's heart is family. Now, to the food, every mouthful was tasty, little bursts of contrasting yet complimentary flavour. I was particularly pleased that I was able to order a chocolate dessert which has not happened in years as I am allergic to dark chocolate and am always disappointed that chefs favour it. I know, I know, it's the best chocolate to have at least 70%cocoa yawn yawn, but I am allergic to it and always have to miss out, so thank you very very much Steve for making me feel normal. I cannot wait to get back for a Sunday lunch or dinner to see what magical spins Steve can do. Thank you very much for a superb evening, I have earnt brownie points for treating David to a memorable Birthday meal."

"The dining experience was outstanding! It was the best Greek food I've had in a long time, and the chips were surprisingly non-greasy. Even the gin lemonade was delicious. Everything was fresh, the service was good, and the young staff were friendly. I even enjoyed a fun dance from the supplier! I will definitely return, as I was very impressed. I'm so glad to have discovered my new favorite Greek restaurant!"
"We had booked with booking.com . On arrival we were told that we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 a head. We accepted this although thought was pretty steep for breakfast in a pub.The first morning we were given a menu clearly stating that breakfasts were included with all accommodation. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and the other two ordered a full English breakfast which included homemade black pudding. The breakfasts arrived ,one of my poached eggs was runny, the other hard. The English breakfasts had no black pudding on the plates and when queried we were told that the deliveries hadn't arrived. Doesn't homemade imply made on or near the premises and as the owner states he is a butcher by trade I would expect he had made the black pudding. No alternatives were offered and presentation was distinctly lacking , with the baked beans poured over the other items. The next day I risked the full breakfast with black pudding which was lovely. But again the others had badly cooked poached eggs. We were offered no fruit juice, cereal or even toast and marmalade. On leaving we discovered the pub was unmanned , despite poor mobile signal. The owner turned up after 15 minutes. The bill was handed over, charging us for seven breakfasts when we had six, it was adjusted after he asked if one of us had had two breakfast one day? He served and cooked them so should know the answer to that. We were also then overcharged for nine coffee when three coffees and two teas had been ordered. Having had a family B and small hotel in York I advised him that standards were not what I was used to. I spoke to someone who had also visited recently and she stated a member of staff had charged them £15 per head for their similar breakfast where we were charged the menu price. Exceptionally poor menu, inaccurate advise saying breakfast included then charging us and probably the worst breakfast I have eaten in similar accommodation."

"We love it here. Even a fussy 13 year old loves the food. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks and smells incredible. The food is fresh, packed with flavour and the portions are generous. The staff are warm and welcoming and you are made to feel like you're the only customer despite the place being full Highly recommend Socrates."

"I have visited this place several times, and it has consistently been excellent. It's the ideal location for a quick meal or for relaxing a bit longer while catching up with friends. Everything on the menu is delicious and offers great value. The prices are very reasonable for London, and you really get a lot for your money, with excellent quality to match. Their signature GG sauce adds a unique twist that sets it apart from your typical Greek fare!"

"a wonderful hidden gem in brighton. eat tastes absolutely as in the premium traditional restaurants and taverns in Greece, while the portions really generous and appetit. I had the dolmades as an appetizer and the black merciful as a pornstar; unnecessary to say that everything was good in mouthwater. the atmosphere is also warm and welcoming, representatives of the world-famous Hellenic hospitality. the fact that many non-Greek redners visit this place for dinner is not a surprise; Greek eating when prepared and properly cooked, culinary paradies and yefsis delivered from Greece is perfect. very recommended for all in the east sussex area! will surely come back! "steki taverna is a charming family run Greek taverne, founded in southsea in portsmouth since 1998. the decor is welcoming and similar to the taverns that they see in Greece – terracotta floor, wooden tables and beams. They opened a second two-g in brighton in 2006. in the course of the years we must have sampled most items on the menu: as with most restaurants, some dishes are better than others and we are repeatedly withdrawn to our favorites. there are a good number of meat, seafood and vegetarian decisions. this is a good place for vegetarians – most of the hot and cold starters are suitable for vegetarians. menu items are t"

"I went to Kri Kri for dinner again last Friday. The staff welcomed us warmly and the atmosphere was inviting. To start, we shared the Hummus and stuffed mushrooms, which were the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. For the main course, I ordered the Sea Bass, which was amazing - perfectly filleted and cooked to perfection. It was served with rice and roast potatoes, and all the mains were exceptional. The house wine was very good and reasonably priced by the glass or bottle, including Merlot. My husband had the chicken in wine and cream, which he loved. The staff provided excellent service with a smile, and the restaurant was very clean. We finished our meal with coffee and Baileys, and are already looking forward to our next visit. There is a large car park at the rear of the restaurant, and it is only a 5-minute walk from the 487 and 22 bus stop on Brook Street."

"We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to a cozy table by the window. The menu was diverse and enticing, with options to suit all tastes. We decided to start with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. For our mains, we both chose the seafood linguine, which was deliciously fresh and packed with a variety of seafood. To top it all off, we indulged in the chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of amazing and we left feeling satisfied and content. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"So disappointed! We ordered 2 x regular grill halloumi and vegs, 1 spinach pastry and 1 dessert. When I opened the bag my first impression was only greasy paper bags inside, no a proper take away boxes. Our meal was called: Grilled halloumi and vegs...There were only 1 small slice of halloumi per person, grilled pepper, onions and chips and no yogurt sauce (something they made me angry). They sent us a cheese pastry instead of the spinach one and small dessert portion.I called and they told me that if I wanted more halloumi I should have ordered the larger option, something that made me laugh when the main is called Halloumi with vegs, but wow, only one slice of halloumi per person? Really?I paid £20 and we were still hungry after dinner. Also the packing was a paper bag. If someone is going to eat there then fair enough but for a deliveroo service I expected better quality, it was all messy in the bag.Really bad experience sorry."

"This is a great spot to have a drink. It's not as loud as a typical bar, allowing for easy conversation without having to shout. The space is small but spacious enough to move around without eavesdropping on the next table. There was a cool instrumental jazz music performance that added to the ambiance. Although they also serve food, we had dinner reservations elsewhere so we didn't get a chance to try out the snacks."

"Just had to put pen to paper to say what a fantastic and delightful experience it was eating at this restaurant today. Having just moved to the area from Yorkshire we drove out today to explore the local area, visiting Castle Douglas. Seeing this restaurant...brought a smile to our faces as three years ago we honeymooned in Greece. We have tried eating in Greek restaurants in Yorkshire to recreate the Greek experience but everyone has been disappointing. Although busy today the front of house girls were very friendly and accommodating and managed to fit us in and made us feel welcome. We ordered the meze starter for two as well as two main courses and wow the food was incredible. The authentic taste of the food was enough to transport us back to Greece three years ago. We were blown away by the food, the front of house staff and obviously the kitchen staff and chefs who made eating at Nikos such an enjoyable experience. We had a lovely day out in a lovely town. Without any shadow of a doubt we will be back to sample more delights. Authentic Greek cuisine has really been captured here in Scotland."

"I gave a review of this place in October 2014 and the response I got back from Manos is that they are not a Restaurant. I copied the following text from the Manos website which clearly shows you do advertise yourselves as a restaurant...... If you have a special occasion coming up, host a meal or party at our restaurant. To reiterate the food was a poor standard which was not cooked right through, obviously using microwaves to cook with which explains why it was cooked on the outside but cold on the inside and swimming in water."
