"Really spot on. We popped in for dinner, our waitress Magdalena was lovely, the food came out quickly and was piping hot. We left utterly stuffed and wondering what we had done ordering so much food! Of you are looking for a decent burger or ribs in central London you could do a lot worse."

"rude and racist bouncers worst experience in the city ever. I visited the blues kitchen shoreditch on the 5th march 2022. I came with 9 other friends at 23 o'clock this evening with prepaid tickets. the bouncer at the door required ids, although most people in the waitsnake did not show their ids and bouncer did not get on the board. I was compliant, and I showed my ID to her colleagues. he said I should be more polite next time. I was confused and asked him when I had been rude to him, then he said, "You don't come in today." their bouncer even used his left arm to block me when I tried to talk to my friends who were already admitted. "The staff were lovely and doing their best ..even presented my 10 year olds with a small birthday plate and clap ! They were great. But the wait for the food was lonnng ! Staters after half an hour overdone dry chicken nibbles and the main course 1 hour from arriving at the restaurant !! The food was mediocre and fairly tough …burgers and ribs and the chips overcooked. The milkshakes were a success though but overall a very disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend Maxwells to anyone ."

"My 40th birthday celebration at The Storyteller was fantastic! The food was amazing, the wine was lovely, the service was brilliant, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were incredibly patient with us as we chatted away at the end of the evening, even though they probably wanted to go to sleep. We had a great time and are thankful for the experience. "I had an amazing experience at The Blues Kitchen Brixton. It was a completely different experience than I was expecting. We had our table for dinner for the planned 2 hours. However, at the end, we were rushed to order our cocktails before being asked to vacate the table. We were then pushed into the main room where we had to stand with our £15 cocktails in hand, navigating through the crowded space. The security guard even told us to move out of the way. When I tried to check my coat at the cloakroom, despite the young age of the crowd, I was charged an additional £5 for each item I checked, on top of the £70 I had already spent. It felt like a bit of a joke."
