"Girls night out we aren 't very familiar with Covent Garden so what we thought would be a mad one ended up just being a nice catch up. Dirty Martini happy hour was our first stop, beautiful cocktails but was too small in there. Making our way home we wondered where would be open late to get food, on our discovery towards the station was Maxwells. Result!!!! We ate, we chat, we saw a rat. That 's right a RAT!!!!!! Our waiter who was fully aware from our reactions of what we 'd just seen came over and gave a good attempt at explaining why they had RATS.... Something about the Opera House/old building and you know how it is in London they say you 're never more than 6ft from a rat . A...read more"

"YOU DO NOT COME TO LONDON for BBQ. Full stop. Period. The End. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FIND ANYTHING THAT COMES ANYWHERE REMOTELY CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL IN THE STATES Having said that, if you must have BBQ with all the fixins, Blues Kitchen in Camden is the place to be to get all messy with it. It is prolly the best you're going to find in town There are a number of places folks will recommend to you. I know, because I have eaten at them, and like it or not they put some sort of twist on it that takes it to places it should never have been BBQ is all about low and slow, not just tossing stuff on a grill whether it be propane or charcoal And I heartily recommend the Camden location...read more"

"Our visit was amazing. There was 3 of us who came from Manchester. We came for 2 nights and both evenings we came to maxwells because our first visit was amazing! I think we were served by Amy maybbe? She was so nice! And the guy on the front was amazing too, he had patterned pants on. He sat us on our table on the second evening and was just so welcoming. Thanks guys, we can’t wait to come back and visit!!"

"I had an amazing experience at The Blues Kitchen Brixton. It was a completely different experience than I was expecting. We had our table for dinner for the planned 2 hours. However, at the end, we were rushed to order our cocktails before being asked to vacate the table. We were then pushed into the main room where we had to stand with our £15 cocktails in hand, navigating through the crowded space. The security guard even told us to move out of the way. When I tried to check my coat at the cloakroom, despite the young age of the crowd, I was charged an additional £5 for each item I checked, on top of the £70 I had already spent. It felt like a bit of a joke."

"We had a wonderful evening with friends, who were also celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. A joint, informal celebration. We visit the Storyteller two or three times year as we feel we can trust the service, food and drink. This time the food was very good, and the vegetarian options were notable for their variety (not extensive and could be expanded) and quality. The wine list is fine but better to get up and look at their their wine racks. The service was good and the interval between courses well judged. Although the restaurant was busy, the level of background noise was suitable, making it easy to hear and be heard."
