"Made plans to come here for lunch after a morning visit to Camera Obscura which is just a little way up the mile. Been here before years ago loved it…love it still! Great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food all hot, fresh and tasty. Large portions too! I can definitely recommend the haggis bites they’re delicious. Shout out to our sever Sophie who was lovely; welcoming, friendly efficient. Love this place will return."

"Awful. I had high hopes for this restaurant when it first opened, but it was a huge disappointment. Despite the menu stating small plate/tapas style, the dishes took over forty minutes to come out, with no explanation. When we inquired about our food, the young server seemed flustered and unhelpful. The food itself was tasteless and poorly presented, as if the chefs were more interested in eating chips than cooking. The staff appeared inexperienced and unsure of themselves, leading to a lackluster service experience. I would never return to this place, not even for a drink. Save your money and go somewhere else."

"from beginning to end, this can only be described as one of my worst restaurants experiences. we were a little early on our table so we were invited to stand at the bar to wait for our table. we waited and waited and waited for twenty minutes to serve and there was only one person in front of us. We were totally ignored while the two people behind the bar took care of the table orders. eating ordered and when it came, it was wrong so that the food of my wife had to go back. another order was also wrong and they promised to bring the fritten asap. they came when we all finished our eating. the food of my wife came back right, but the plate was full of fat and pommes was microwave. eating all looked completely inconspicuous. the manager took the cost for the meal of my wife from the bill and the riders who never arrived but nothing for our experience or offered more drinks. unnecessary to say that we never go back. it felt as if they really did not deal with the volume of people."

"We took 2 grandchildren to lunch. The order was taken fairly quickly but the meal took a very long time to arrive. We waited for about 15 minutes for the table to be cleared after the main course, so we could order dessert. We gave up in the end and got the bill. It was impossible to attract their attention. I had to physically go up to the waitresses who were bunched together behind the bar after spending a great deal of time ignoring the other 3 tables. One woman loudly pleaded for her order to be taken. She also had waited an unreasonable length of time."

"often call them at the weekend for an all-day breakfast. the caffe is made like an American diner and has a similar theme menu, pancakes, burger, huhn as well as the famous breakfast. the ladies that run the caffe are very happy and friendly, service is fast, eating ready to order cooked. only the problem is sometimes at the biker weekend in the summer it can wait a little for eating recommended."

"I was served by a tall, dark-haired girl who I believe must be the manager; if she isn’t, she certainly should be because her service was exceptional. On the other hand, the guy at the bar, who resembled Ed Sheeran, was quite unfriendly and distant. We would have felt unwelcome if it weren't for the waitress, who worked hard to make us feel at home. She was constantly moving around to ensure all of us were taken care of, seemingly compensating for the lack of effort from the rest of the staff. I was really impressed by her ability to manage the place almost single-handedly. The food was great, but there seemed to be a lack of leadership on the floor. Also, I noticed a red-haired guy actively trying to undermine our waitress, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have given this place a 4-star rating."

"a few days ago, since I and my friend got a student discount. first opinions, once I went, was how attentive and friendly our server was. they really seem to care for customer service, so I don't know why there are many reviews on the contrary. we ordered immediately and food came quite fast, which was good. the food was breathtaking. my God the burger was beautiful the onion rings even more. I could eat these onion rings in buckets that were so good. the drinks were quite expensive to be honest as I don't want to pay £2.30 for water. but I feel that Byron brings a beautiful aura to cambridge and I would be happy back hundreds of times and is recommended to friends and family."

"GBK staff are friendly, our food arrived promptly and it was tasty. But it's close to £20 per head for a drink, burger and fries. There was no queue to get in, but a near 20 minute wait to place you order. You have to rejoin the queue to refresh or order additional drinks. We spent 20 minutes eating, 15 minutes waiting for food and about 35 minutes in queues! I'd get the advantage of this model if the food were reasonably priced, but it's not. There are numerous alternatives to GBK, I won't be hurrying back."

"I was impressed by the excellent quality of the fries at this restaurant. They were fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Our visit was enjoyable, as we originally came for takeout but were instead invited to dine in on a rainy day. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly. I wish them success as they return to normal hours starting this Monday. I highly recommend trying their grilled wings and the delicious milkshakes. "Such a lovely place and nice and chilled. All the staff are lovely and kind even the doormen. Hayley so lovely and kind and even got me out when I got locked in the toilet once lol. Kenny a very funny person and also very kind. Dan very nice person, always gives me my favourite glass when I get a drink! Dave such a nice person, know him very well and knows my usual drink! Beth new to the place however is great at table service making sure we’ve got everything we need. Will and Emma lovely people, don’t see them much on the weekend but still kind. Josh great at having a conversation with. All together such a great team, good selection of beers, spirits, shots, wines, whiskeys and lager! Even nice selection of soft drinks and crisps. The food is outstanding, good prices and good quality! Slot machines, charging facilities for mobile phones, pool table and good music! Live sports played daily for everyone to enjoy. Couldn’t ever fault them. Definitely a place to come with family, friends or even by yourself!"

"During my weekend trip to Liverpool, I visited a Byron restaurant for the first time. After a day of shopping, this restaurant caught my eye. The burger and fries were some of the best I've had in a long time, and the onion rings were enormous. "this place was fantastic. I am from California and ed’s was a wonderful memory of home. this place feels like the 50s and it puts a smile on her face when she in. I have a big ed’s burger and it was delicious (have a tweebel ring and speck on it, I mean, come it.) eating here has given me the feeling as if I had worth my money. the drinks are a bit expensive, but if you get water, a pornstar, and one side, it's not too bad. the service was good, we were greeted at the door and immediately got a place. the dings were busy and we have to eat quickly.
